Chapter 11

Time stood still completely in a blink of an eye. Ryan thought he heard wrong and asked again. “You stayed here for five weeks.. right ..” He muttered knowing what the answer was already, he didn't just want to accept it yet. 

“I just said Five years. I've been here for five years ” Cole stated. Ryan's heart was beginning to throb too hard. “ You've been here for years. How is that possible. What is going on here!?” He exclaimed. 

Coke stared at him in confusion. “Are you annoyed I haven't stayed long enough. I know some people that have been here for ten years you know...” He stated. 

Ryan almost went crazy. He instantly stood up and dashed out of the room. 

“Hey, where's are you going. I'll come with you” Cole said and stood up to chase after him. “Do whatever you want. I need to leave here immediately!” Ryan said fuming towards the door. 

The door suddenly swung open and They stopped. It was the Young man From the office, Mr Derris. 

Derris stared down at Ryan and Cole. “Where were you two heading to” He asked. 

“I was just about searching for you. I need to get..” Ryan was saying but Cole quickly stopped him by covering his mouth. “why did you stop him, what does he want” Derris asked. 

“ It's nothing sir. He just wanted to ask about how some things are around here” Cole replied with a faint smile. Derris stared at Ryan who was still struggling to set himself free from Cole's grasp but luckily, Cole was far stronger than him. 

Derris hissed and walked away from the pair. Cole finally let go of the raging Ryan. “What were you thinking!” Ryan asked angrily. “ You wouldn't want to get his attention if you want to leave here ” Cole replied. 

“Huh. What are you saying ” Ryan asked in confusion. “ You're not the first personal that wanted to leave for some reasons. If they find out you want to leave, they will take you to a different room and lock you up for months. There's no leaving here Ryan, there's only coming here” Cole said. 

Ryan stated at him in fear. “What was that all about. Do they expect me to stay here till I die!?” Ryan asked. “Oh, you'll be free to leave after turning thirty ” Col replied. “thirty!?. Is that not way too long” Ryan exclaimed. “We don't have the power to change that” Cole replied. 

“You two, will you quit chatting and join the crowd?” Derris asked. They both turned and the children had all gathered as Derris had something to tell them. Ryan sighed and they both walked to the crowd reluctantly. 

Derris cleared his throat and started. “I see everyone is doing great lately, we also have new ones joining us. The facility encourages you to live in peace and not cause any troubles for everyone else ” He stated. 

“The Halloween party will hold as usual in a week's time, under my supervision ” Derris added. The kids all yelled happily. “ Halloween?.what is that” Ryan asked. “You don't know?” Cole asked. “Yes I clearly don't!" Ryan yelled. 

“We just dress in different custume and there's a party too” Cole replied. “Oh that?. Didn't know that is what they call it” Ryan replied. “well now you do. It's always fun, you'll enjoy it” Cole said brightly. 

“Halloween..Can I think of a way to get out that day?” Ryan asked himself. 

Ryan stayed up the whole night thinking on how to get out of the Facility. Cole soon woke up in the middle of the night to see Ryan was awake. “Hey, it doesn't look like you've slept at all” He stated. 

“I have no time to sleep. I need to think of a way to get out of here ” Ryan replied. Cole sat up yawning. 

“I don't know how you plan on getting out of here. But I can tell you now that it will not work. Give it up” he said. 

Ryan stared at him pissed at his words. “ I'm not trying to piss you off or anything, I'm just telling you the truth. I was like you when I got here too. But after getting caught and locked up tons of time, I have up” Cole replied. 

“Is it that hard to get out of here” Ryan asked. “Trust me. It is” Cole replied. Ryan sighed and laid on his back. “What am I going to do now..” He muttered. 

“Why do you want to get out of here so bad. Do you have somewhere else to go” Cole asked. 

“I Don't. But I can't stay in here waiting for him to find my father. I have to go find my father myself ” Ryan stated. “You seem keen on finding him” Cole said. “ That's my last resort. I need to find him” Ryan replied. 

They both were silent for some while. “Alright, what if I help you get out of the facility ” Cole asked suddenly. Ryan sat up quickly eager to hear what Cole had to say. “I thought you said there's no way to escape ” He said. 

“Yes. For newbies. I have been here for years and I have been scheming the best way to get out of here” Cole replied. “I see. Will you help me out please ” Ryan asked eagerly. “Yeah. I will ” Cole replied. “Thank so much!” Ryan said brightly. 

“ what's the plan ” He asked eagerly. “The party is few days. We'll use it to get out of here” Cole replied. “Oh okay. And how do we use it. I've thought of numerous ways but nothing seemed right ” Ryan asked. 

“ I'll let you know when it's time. Leave the planning to me entirely ” Cole stated. “Alright fine” Ryan replied. 

“Will you come with me too..” Ryan asked. “Unlike you Ryan, I have no where or nobody out there anymore. This is my place now” Cole replied.
