"Mr. Alex! Geez, I'm sorry I'm late. You shouldn't have been treated like this," Poppy said in a panic, then added her concern. "You're okay, right?"
Earlier, when the bank employees were busy discussing a customer with a special passbook, Poppy had seen the passbook and that's when Poppy found out about Alex's social status.
Alex shook his head slightly at the pretty girl's question, then it was more about the stares of Elena and Almero and the other people who seemed surprised at Poppy's treatment of Axel.
How could a manager of Morghan Bank respect Axel so much? Even referring to him as Sir, is very confusing. Certainly, Elena and Almero couldn't get enough of it.
Then, Elena interrupted. "Miss, I think you've recognized the wrong person. This is my ex-husband whom I just divorced, he's a thief! You shouldn't treat him with such respect."
"Yes, that's right," Almero continued in surprise.
Hearing Axel being insulted like that made Poppy furious.
"How presumptuous! Mr. Axel is not a thief, he is a special customer of our bank."
Everyone was stunned, especially Elena and Almero who heard that.
Now it was Almero's turn to try to set the record straight, "What do you mean, Miss Poppy? She's just a café waitress, a poor hobo! We know her very well, how can you call her a special client?"
Elena replied, "That's right..."
"Enough!" stopped Poppy. She couldn't stand the way they kept putting Axel down. For a moment she even called the security guard to chase the two couples away.
"But what did we do wrong? We caught a thief, Morghan Bank should have rewarded us instead of treating us like this!" Almero rebelled.
Almero still took the time to insult Axel, "Heh, rascal, hurry up and admit that you're a thief."
Their behavior made Poppy even more angry, so she repeated her command to the two security guards who were holding Elena and Almero's bodies, "Drag them out right now!"
Afterward, Poppy also chastised the people who were still gathered there to make a spectacle of their special client, so everyone dispersed.
"Thank you for helping me," Axel said later after the situation calmed down.
"Ah, there's no need to make light of this, sir! I should be the one apologizing that you had to experience such an inconvenience."
"I'm used to this, just relax."
To be honest, Poppy wasn't too surprised to hear those words because Axel looked like a hobo. She would have accused him of theft if she didn't know who he was.
Then Poppy offered to take Axel out, but he refused. He's not used to being treated special, and in no time at all, he's out of Morgan Bank, having stopped a passing taxi on its way to the hospital.
The Drama returned after he entered the vehicle, as a woman suddenly appeared and asked him to get off.
"Sir, I want to take this taxi! Please tell him to get out of there!" she ordered, leaving Axel dumbfounded.
Unfortunately, the driver did not heed her words and kicked Axel out of there.
"But I ordered this taxi first," Axel interrupted.
"I did, and I don't want to take you. Please get off now or I'll get violent."
To be honest, Axel was getting fed up, he had to meet people like this everywhere. It's just that Axel didn't want to cause trouble and get into a fight later because there were more important things he had to do now, namely immediately returning to the hospital to pay Berry's demands.
Finally, Axel relented and got out of the taxi nicely. However, Axel's relenting attitude only made the two men even bigger-headed. Instead of settling things, they insulted him even more.
"You poor bastard, you want to take a taxi! He can't afford public transportation." The driver looked sarcastically at Axel.
"That's right, sir. Not to mention you have to wash this car because that guy smells like a hobo."
The woman's voice, dressed up, swayed as she hurled insults at Axel. She even sprayed perfume towards the seat that Axel had been sitting on.
"Hey, you heard me! I'm still lucky I didn't ask for compensation! Now you're sneaking into people's cars."
Axel, who had been silent and holding back to remain patient, now began to lose control. In the next second, he took out a wad of money from the envelope he had been holding. Then he threw it into the taxi right into the face of the woman who was sitting sweetly in the passenger seat that replaced him earlier.
Seeing the large amount of money made the two people jump in surprise and their expressions were extraordinary. The driver and the woman stared at Axel from toe to toe in astonishment, as the man in front of him looked like a hobo but had this much money.
"That's real!" the woman observed 3 seconds later. Feeling that she had found a new way to humiliate Axel, she added another sentence, raising her tone of voice and giving him a sardonic look.
"Or maybe this money is counterfeit again!"
The taxi driver quickly replied, "Ah, that's right. It's fake money at best! Hahaha, acting like a rich man."
"Just check the authenticity! Check if you need to take it to the bank. Call my name Axel Geraldo," Axel responded flatly and so casually.
"I would have paid you the money if you hadn't been so arrogant!"
Seeing Axel pointing at Morgan Bank, the taxi driver realized that Axel had just left the building. The phenomenal bank that not everyone had savings in there, made him a bit ambiguous.
For a moment, he was asked to show the sheet in the attractive woman's hand. The driver managed to examine the bills.
"How fake is the money? I don't even need to be checked, I already know," the woman cynically stuck to her opinion.
However, a second later. The driver was stunned and suddenly shooed the attractive woman away.
"Uh, Miss get down now! I want to take this gentleman."
"What?!" The woman was surprised.
"I said get out of my car right now!" Not just a voice, this time the man even opened the door for her. Then, he pushed her arm to get out of his car as quickly as possible until she accidentally fell in front of Axel.
A moment later, there was a driver who invited Axel in so politely. "Come in sir, I'll take you wherever you need to go."
Such a thing happened because Axel had said he would pay her with the bundle of money in his hand, of course, she would beg to drive him for such a large fee. Meanwhile, the woman cursed in annoyance as she moved on, "Ah, damn!!! What an insolent driver." She didn't care, just busy seducing Axel into entering her car. Now it was Axel's turn to give her a sardonic smile. "That's why ladies don't be arrogant people." At the same time, a two-wheeled vehicle stopped right in front of the taxi and also greeted Axel. "Did you order it earlier?" "Yes, wait a minute," Axel replied. The handsome man asked the online motorcycle taxi to wait because he still had something to do with the taxi driver. Namely, he asked for the money he had given earlier, this time Axel was a little pushy because the driver kept trying to hold back his money. In the end, Axel managed to snatch the money. With nothing left, it was clear that the driver couldn't just give up. He was still tr
"I'd like to see Berry, is he inside?" "Mr. Berry, come please." The burly man quickly guided Axel inside. Entering a spacious house with an interior that matched the paint of the house made the eye feel comfortable. No wonder Berry was so haughty because her house was big and grand. Unlike her small and cramped apartment. "I beg your pardon, Axel! I'm ready to pay in installments all the costs of your demands as long as you let Axel go." Berry smiled wryly while taking a very long look at Katrina's face. "Why are you willing to kneel before me for that poor man." Berry hardened his jaw because he couldn't accept that the girl he liked would prefer a poor, hapless man like Axel. "Axel is my savior god and maybe it's time I return the favor for him." "You want to return the favor or you like that hobo." He moved slowly from his seat and was now squatting in front of Katrina, "Don't you know that I liked you a long time ago if you want Axel to be free of charge
Ready or not, Axel finally decided to visit Geraldo's family. He called the number on the business card and informed them of his arrival. Along the way to the address, Axel was nervous and hesitant. He wondered whether the steps he had taken were right or not. His feelings at that time were erratic. He repeatedly considered whether to contact Axel's family or stop until the wind that blew strongly against his body and face barely made him feel any sensation. Despite his inner war, Axel finally let the online driver take him to the front of Godrigo's large, luxurious gate. "Here we are, brother." The online driver's brother had to say that because Axel didn't get off. He had to call out to Axel several times to break the man's reverie. "Ah, yes, sorry!" Axel hurried downstairs and reached into his pants pocket while taking the money he had prepared to pay the fare. This time, the driver was surprised by the money Axel handed over to him. It was fantastic, like
Axel caught a glimpse of what it meant that his assumptions had been wrong all along. At first, he thought Axel was an illegitimate grandson or an unwanted grandson but it turned out that a glimpse of the grandfather's story earlier that he was deliberately separated from his family. At least that was enough to make Axel feel relieved. "They've done this to my grandson and I can't accept it, Bastian." "Anyway, I don't want to know, you must avenge them! If you don't, I will." There was silence for a few seconds, Axel heard that but as a new member of the Geraldo family, he was silent even though in his heart there were so many questions. Who had the heart to separate the grandson of the richest businessman from his family? Isn't it very strange how a wealthy family like the Geraldo's could experience such a thing considering how tightly guarded the house is? "I'll think about retaliation later. Right now your grandson is here and back. We'd better welcome him." Luckil
But before the couple could answer, Axel answered first."Just ignore the unimportant people like them, let's go in." Poppy nodded and then turned around. Before they had entered the hotel, Axel uttered another scathing sentence. More precisely, he was responding to Almero's sentence which he had not had time to respond to."Oh yeah, you don't have to be scared of me like that because I won't pick back up worthless junk like him." Almero must have been very upset to hear that sentence, his eyes rounded with a flushed face. Elena, who heard that, began to get angry."You can say I'm junk, you're a smelly piece of trash who doesn't know himself!" Hearing Elena's words made Poppy turn to the woman but Axel didn't care. Instead, a faint smile was carved from the corner of Axel's lips, he did it on purpose."That woman has gone too far, it's like she's uneducated.""It's not that she's uneducated, it's that she got her diploma through bribery, don't care." Axel then invited
"ARGH!!!" Axel yelled out in a booming voice as his body bounced away and made his stomach cramp. The man clutched his stomach while wincing at the pain. "Is that all the power you have?" The man asked as he gave Axel a dismissive look. Feeling slighted, Axel got back up and started attacking the man again. "Don't talk so much! I'll take you to the police station," he ordered firmly. The man shook his head. "You think I'm scared!" He shouted in a loud voice. He went ahead and kicked Axel's body until he winced in pain while hugging his body. Yes, the man was so good at fighting that Axel felt overwhelmed when it came to boxing on his own. However, Axel didn't give up. He got back to his feet and attacked the man again without caring about the pain that was attacking his body. Furious, Axel then threw a fist right at the man's jaw. He was already getting angry with the man's arrogance and why the man was so hard to beat. It turned out that the man, who did not want to
"You don't have to lie to me! I have proof that my father gave all his wealth to you," she snapped unhappily."What do you mean?" asked Axel, surprised to hear what his wife had said so harshly."I'm sure you're planning to take all of my father's wealth after he dies. Isn't that right? Don't think I don't know your foul plans!" Axel widened his eyes, wondering how Elena could possibly think that. Like a thunderbolt in broad daylight, he really didn't expect his wife to do such a thing to him, leaving Axel speechless as he was taken to the police station. The two policemen asked him a lot of questions but Axel was silent and did not answer them, he kept looking back but Elena did not see his departure at all. Arriving at the police station, Axel came out when the two policemen brought him in and wanted to arrest him. He was interrogated several times but Axel remained silent. There was no strength for him after his wife walked away from him."Why are you silent, stupid
"Can we talk?" continued someone who was none other than the police commissioner at the prison. The police commissioner knew very well that the man in front of him was the most famous lawyer in the country. Who does not know the lawyer Roberto Domino, only the conglomerate class can afford to hire him. Without further ado, Roberto quickly handed a letter to his interlocutor. The look in his eyes was so sharp that he stared at his interlocutor, "You'd better let Axel go right now. Before you get fired from your position.""How presumptuous of you to speak like that! There's no way I'm going to let that man off the hook after all the wrong he's done." The lawyer hit the table and pointed a finger at the Commissioner. "Should I report you for taking a bribe from a man named Almero and charge you for torturing this boy like he committed murder when Almero had minor injuries? Remember the rules of this country!" The words that came out of the famous lawyer's mouth were abl
