The entire party was filled with people who didn't seem to care who the next person was; they were all there for something, and that thing was to ensure they would have a chance to partner with Supernova Industries. However, only a few out of the many would be lucky enough to get picked, and in situations like this, it was rare.
Silas just stood there looking around like he was looking at a freaking game show, and he was not in any way impressed with what he was seeing. Austin noticed the kind of look on Silas’s face, and he knew that there was something a bit off about it, and there was something bound to happen there at the party. “So what is on your mind?” Austin popped the question that made Silas slowly turn his head to him. The look on his face showed that there was little joy in his system being at the party, and he was not even trying to hide it in any way. “You haven't done much since Ms. Prince left. I don't know why, but it feels like you don't even want to be here.” Austin was looking at Silas; he could see the pure disgust in his eyes and the way he was looking around the entire hall, but there was nothing there for him to even get out of the whole thing. “So you want to tell me that all these men showed up here so they would get a chance to work with the company and all?” Silas stared at the party, and something was bothering him. The whole time they were there at the party, the people never even looked like they would do anything meaningful in their lives, and there was no way for any of them to say anything meaningful. ‘I don't know when the rich would ever change. This is something that sickens me.’ Silas turned away, trying to put his head through what was going on at the party, but at the same time trying to avoid conflict. He didn't look where he was heading, bumping into someone with his glass in his hand. He managed to ruin the man's suit with his drink. “Ahh Jeez, I am so sorry about that…” Silas turned to look at the man; he knew that there was a chance that he would blow up out of anger and say something awful. “Don't worry about it; it's only clothing, and I can wash it off.” The man smiled; it was not what Silas would have expected from someone like that. Silas stood there and smiled. He had expected someone who would treat him like he was some kind of fool, but then he was wrong when he saw the way the man was trying to take care of what happened to him by himself. “You aren't going to insult me or even think of curses to use on me?” Silas was looking at the man, and he was not in any way prepared for anything he was witnessing now. The man looked at Silas; he was not even sure what would make him angry, but then there was something about the way he smiled that made it look like he understood what Silas was trying to make sense out of. “Not all of us are like that, kiddo. Some of us don't want to get caught in all this bullshit, but then things happen and we end up where we don't want to be seen. With people that don't match up with what you are actually trying to represent in life.” The man spoke slowly, and it was almost like he was trying to make it clear that there was a clear difference in most things. Silas stood there watching the man in awe of the kind of things the man said. There were still sensible people in the city. “I didn't know that there were people like you still in the city.” Silas smiled; he didn't want to make anything give the wrong image of the people. “Pfft, I would rather die than be caught doing something as stupid as that.” The man turned to look at Silas. “Only fools would treat their fellow humans like they are nothing but trash.” Silas was a bit moved; he didn't know it was possible, but there were people like him alive. “Philip, Philip Forger.” He smiled as he stretched his hand for Silas to shake. Silas turned to the man, a smile on his face as he shook his hand. “Silas, Silas Gray.” On the other side of the party, Lauren was trying her best to get into a discussion that would help her get a better spot for her cooperation. It was not as easy as she imagined; no one wanted anything to do with her… “I am starting to think that there is something wrong with all these men. Can't they see that you're trying to talk to them?!” Hillary was beginning to get frustrated; it wasn't the normal thing for them, but then they didn't want to put it out like they were desperate for the team-up with any business like that since they would be getting closer to doing business with Supernova Industries, and they will be able to get something out of all their endeavors. But then things weren't going the way they thought they would, and it felt like they were only messing with the wrong thing, and it felt like there was no way for them to even get something reasonable out of it all. Lauren was not sure why, but things were feeling a bit different, and she felt alone. It was not something she had felt in years, but there was this feeling of loneliness that had taken over her, and there was no way for him to push it away easily. Almost like her entire body was being placed on a different wave of emotions. ‘Why am I feeling this way? There is no way for me to—’ “I know, right? There has to be something done about all of it.” A familiar voice in the distance caught her interest. She turned to see who it was, and Silas was standing with Philip. It was then that she realized what made her feel that way and uneasy. She didn't know how to put it together, but she suddenly started to miss Silas’s warmth close to her.

Somewhere outside the party, far in the dark parts of Sintril, a silhouette of men in suits can be seen guarding a warehouse. It couldn't be seen what was going on inside the warehouse, and it was almost like they were pillars there. Inside the warehouse, Kristan Vance is seated there, and something is biting him a bit. “So you are telling me that Eizo was taken down. I will not take a joke!” He was looking at one of his men, it was like they were trying to pull a fast one on him, but then there was nothing going to be giving him the relief knowing that he was not going to be dealing with something like that, but it was not a joke. The man in front of Kristan was shaking; he couldn't control his legs, looking at the tyrant in front of him. The mere thought of what he would do to him was something that would bother anyone, and it was not going to be easy to even look him in the eye. “Sir, he was taken out, and there was no way for us to find out who it was that took him down. But

“How on earth did Silas get his hands on the Eon Diamond?” Hillary was looking at Lauren, but her daughter’s attention was fixed on Silas. Lauren stared at who used to be by her side, now casually handing a gift to another woman in front of her. “Silas, what is the meaning of this?” Lauren managed to force some words out of her mouth; she was looking at him hang the necklace on Noelle’s neck. Silas, surprised to hear his name being called like that, turned to look at Lauren. “Is anything the problem, Ms. Forrest?” He was looking at her, but instead of the soft, calm, loving gaze Lauren was used to, all she got was a distant, cold stare; it was empty and void of anything that looked like emotion. “What do you think you are doing now?!” She moved close to them, looking at Silas with what looked like the sound of pity. “I know you must think that I would take you back if you do all of this, but the only thing you are going to do is make things worse, so I would advise that—” “And

Griffin Peak Hotel… In the executive suite, Silas could be seen getting ready for something. He wore a dashing blue suit; it was well fitted. He pulled out boots from a rack, a smile on his face. The doors of the suite opened, and Austin was seen standing there with a puzzled look on his face, dressed in a brown suit, two diamond earrings on, and a clearly priceless watch on his right hand.Silas turned to look at Austin; he smiled when he saw him there. “Good to see you here.” He said he was happy to see him there that early. “You are one heck of a man.” Austin walked in, moving to the seat there as he sat down. “You saved a life yesterday, then decided to take a life hours later.”Austin balanced on the seat, looking at Silas. “You managed to take Eizo off the map; what made you do it?” Silas turned to look at his friend. “Filth like him shouldn't be allowed to be in the city; he ruins it with his nature.” Austin was smiling; he threw his head back with a smile. “You should se

Silas joined Noelle in her own car as they were driving to the Prince family mansion. Silas was oddly calm; it wasn't like him to just accept the date like that, but he kept a clear mind. “I wonder what made you not say a thing while I was working on your brothers.” Silas broke the awkward silence. He was looking at Noelle, trying to know what it was that made her even look at him like he was going to be able to do something about the poison when it wasn't even certain if he would be able to save them. Noelle turned to Silas, her facial expression changed, and she was smiling. “Well, one of the household matriarchs said that if you didn't know what was wrong with them, then there was bound to be no cure, and I have never seen her go wrong in my life, so I was going to make sure that I followed her words.” Silas was surprised to hear all that, a warm smile on his face as he turned out the window. “I didn't know someone had that much faith in me.” He was at ease, trying to put his

Johnson couldn't move; he was looking at Silas. He knew nothing was going to save him from what was coming his way. Noelle walked closer to Johnson. Her expression was dark, and the rage in her eyes could be seen. “Mr. Johnson, I believe you can explain yourself?” Johnson was looking at them; it wasn't clear what he was expected to say, but then he turned to Silas, and his anger boiled more. Silas raised his brow, looking at the man in front of him; he wasn't in the mood to entertain rubbish. “I believe you were asked a question so I want to know why you thought it would be a good—” “It was because you took everything from me!” Johnson shot out; he was looking at Silas with pure rage. “I am a medical student, with high majors and all the required documents, but then I am overshadowed by a genius who seems to work miracles!” Silas was looking at Johnson; the correct set of words couldn't come out of his mouth at the moment. “I wanted to make sure that one patient would be remov
