Griffin Peak Hotel…
In the executive suite, Silas could be seen getting ready for something. He wore a dashing blue suit; it was well fitted. He pulled out boots from a rack, a smile on his face. The doors of the suite opened, and Austin was seen standing there with a puzzled look on his face, dressed in a brown suit, two diamond earrings on, and a clearly priceless watch on his right hand. Silas turned to look at Austin; he smiled when he saw him there. “Good to see you here.” He said he was happy to see him there that early. “You are one heck of a man.” Austin walked in, moving to the seat there as he sat down. “You saved a life yesterday, then decided to take a life hours later.” Austin balanced on the seat, looking at Silas. “You managed to take Eizo off the map; what made you do it?” Silas turned to look at his friend. “Filth like him shouldn't be allowed to be in the city; he ruins it with his nature.” Austin was smiling; he threw his head back with a smile. “You should see the state you left the underworld; they now know that the Prince of Ash is still alive. Plus, he got stronger. You took down sixty men alone. I can only take down twenty, then go for a breather.” “Weak…” Silas smiled as he put on his watch, turning to look at Austin. “What do you know about Kristan Vance?” Austin was confused; he was looking at Silas, trying to see if he had heard the correct thing. “Vance, Kristan Vance?” Silas nodded. “Hm, well, if this helps, he is called the Shadow Weasel; he has ties to five of the top generals of Sintril, so he is going to be a bit difficult to remove without a cause.” Silas sighed when he heard what Austin knew about the man he was targeting. “So he should be off the radar for now…” Silas walked to the mirror, looking at it. “He will make a mistake soon; they always do.” He turned to look at Austin, the smile still on his face. “I am done and ready for my own party.” Austin was looking at him. He scanned Silas like he was looking at a model. “You do know that you would need to tell people you are the owner of Supernova Industries and make sure that Jacob won’t die of meetings.” “Soon, probably when I tell them I’m the Ace and Masked Emperor,” Silas picked up a box and smiled. “Ending the three-year-long debate if the Ace and Emperor are the same person, now who are you giving the Eon Diamond to?” Austin got up from his seat. “Noelle Prince, I didn't follow her to dinner, so I would give it to her as a present.” Silas confidently said as he walked out of the suite. Austin rubbed his head when he heard Silas say Noelle Prince. “And you just split with your wife, speaking of which, the Forrest family would be there.” “I couldn't care less.” At the party, many prestigious families could be seen, and they walked down the red carpet into the party. Lauren and her mother could be seen walking side by side as they entered the grand party. “Now this is where you should enter, a high-class party like this.” Hillary was looking around, admiring the decor of the entire place; it was beyond what she would expect. Lauren smiled as she looked around. She had worked hard to get there— her thoughts. “I know, Mother, after tonight we would partner with Super Nova Industries, and the Forrest Corporations would get to heights no one would be able to stop.” Lauren and her mother chuckled as they walked in. They looked around to see Keith standing there observing the party. He spotted Lauren and her mother; a smile came to his face. “My, both of you look dazzling!” He praised them; he walked up to them. “Thank you, Keith, you look good. The doctor fixed your arm,” Lauren smiled as she looked at Keith. “Now I know you are aware of what we will be doing tonight,” Lauren said; she was looking at him. “Of course, darling, I am going to—” Keith paused when he looked up; someone caught his eye. “What is that hooligan doing here?” Lauren and Hillary turned to see Silas; he was walking in confidently. “Lauren, that idiot chased you here to embarrass us.” Hillary was holding her daughter; her voice was laced with fake worry. “Not here!” Lauren turned as she bolted for Silas; Hillary and Keith followed her closely. Silas was standing there alone, looking around; Austin had gone to meet with his partners, so he wandered into the party alone. He was looking around to see the many people there for the party. “This is nice.” He said to himself he was looking at them as he turned to see Lauren coming towards him. “What does she want?” He muttered as he watched her coming like a beast. “Why did you follow me here?” Lauren was looking at Silas; her voice was piercing as she looked at the man in front of her. “I gave you a chance to apologize yesterday, but you didn't—” “Now, who told you that I followed you here?” Silas cut her off; he was surprised to hear that she thought he was there for her. Lauren rolled her eyes, turning back to Silas. “Oh, don't act all big and mighty. What, then, does someone as worthless as you have here? You only came here to make sure that you would see me, and then you would act like you are sorry for what you did.” Silas, looking at Lauren, laughed a bit uncontrollably as he looked at his ex-wife. “You seem to have picked up a humorous side,” he said as he stopped laughing. “I am here for something else, not you.” “Even if he is not here for you, he should apologize to Keith and return the tickets he stole.” Hillary spoke up. “Yes, Silas.” Lauren was looking at him; she folded her arms, looking at him. “Give us the tickets, and apologize to Keith.” Silas turned to Keith; his cold gaze was enough to kill a man. “I see, I didn’t break his hand well enough.” Keith took a step back; he was looking at Silas, and he knew what the man could do. Silas turned back to Lauren; he didn't like the way she was speaking to him. “Now, please, I don't enjoy people accusing me of something I didn't do. Also, I am not apologizing to the overgrown daddy’s boy.” Lauren was shocked; Silas talked back to her like there was nothing she were worth to him anymore. Silas was never the type of person to even talk to her in that manner. “Silas, how dare you talk to me in that manner?” Lauren was looking at him. “Have you forgotten who I am?” “No, you are Lauren Forrest.” Silas was looking at her; he didn't see why she was feeling so important to him. “But unfortunately, it is not relevant to me in any way.” Lauren gasped as she looked at him; there was nothing on earth that would have prepared her for this. Hillary stepped forward; she didn't want Silas to insult her daughter further. “How dare you say—” “Mr. Silas!” Someone yelled, catching their attention. They turned to see a dazzling beauty in a blue gown. The gown was designed with small stones, making the light bounce off it. The beauty’s elegant and stunning figure had all the men there in a chokehold; they were looking at her mouthwatering shape. Silas smiled seeing the lady. “Ms. Prince, it is nice to see you here.” Noelle walked to Silas, her smile lighting everything around them. “Wasn't going to miss out on our date here; you look like a million bucks.” A heartwarming smile on her face, she turned to see the people standing there. “Mr. Silas, who are they?” Silas turned to Lauren and the others; he let out a sigh. “Relics from my past, now please, can we enter the party?” “Relics?” Lauren blurted out that she was furious hearing what Silas called them. “I am not a relic. I was the one who covered you and helped you for the past three years. I made who you think you are, not knowing you were a thieving lowlife. Honestly, I am glad I divorced you.” “Oh wow, you divorced him?” Noelle had a mischievous smile on her face. “Yes, I did. He is not worth anything to me and will never be worth anything!” Lauren yelled, looking at Silas. Noelle giggled a bit, her hands on her mouth. “So, I can have Mr. Silas without the fear that someone would come for me.” “What?” Lauren was stunned to hear what Noelle had to say. “What do you mean by that? He is nothing but a liability, and you would regret it.” Noelle walked next to Silas; she hooked her arm around his. “I wouldn't mind,” She turned to look at him. “I will appreciate him more then; there is no point to you having him if you don't know what you lost.” Lauren was shocked even more. Was she taking her ex-husband? Silas smiled as he pulled the box from his pocket. “Ms. Prince, please accept this as an apology for not joining you at dinner yesterday.” Noelle turned to look at what Silas gave her; she took the box and opened it. “Wow, this is beautiful!” She pulled out a huge blue diamond necklace from the box. Lauren, Keith, and Hillary struggled to breathe when they saw the diamond. “That… that is the Eon Diamond, the blue one; it is worth $600,000,000!” Keith managed to force the words out of his mouth. Lauren was looking at Silas; she couldn't see the man whom she saw as nothing but a burden anymore. This was different… “But how?” Hillary asked; she was looking at them. “Silas has nothing to his name; he is broke!” Silas smiled as he turned to them. It was a pitiful smile. “There is more to this worthless medical instructor, but unfortunately, you would never find out.”

“How on earth did Silas get his hands on the Eon Diamond?” Hillary was looking at Lauren, but her daughter’s attention was fixed on Silas. Lauren stared at who used to be by her side, now casually handing a gift to another woman in front of her. “Silas, what is the meaning of this?” Lauren managed to force some words out of her mouth; she was looking at him hang the necklace on Noelle’s neck. Silas, surprised to hear his name being called like that, turned to look at Lauren. “Is anything the problem, Ms. Forrest?” He was looking at her, but instead of the soft, calm, loving gaze Lauren was used to, all she got was a distant, cold stare; it was empty and void of anything that looked like emotion. “What do you think you are doing now?!” She moved close to them, looking at Silas with what looked like the sound of pity. “I know you must think that I would take you back if you do all of this, but the only thing you are going to do is make things worse, so I would advise that—” “And

Silas joined Noelle in her own car as they were driving to the Prince family mansion. Silas was oddly calm; it wasn't like him to just accept the date like that, but he kept a clear mind. “I wonder what made you not say a thing while I was working on your brothers.” Silas broke the awkward silence. He was looking at Noelle, trying to know what it was that made her even look at him like he was going to be able to do something about the poison when it wasn't even certain if he would be able to save them. Noelle turned to Silas, her facial expression changed, and she was smiling. “Well, one of the household matriarchs said that if you didn't know what was wrong with them, then there was bound to be no cure, and I have never seen her go wrong in my life, so I was going to make sure that I followed her words.” Silas was surprised to hear all that, a warm smile on his face as he turned out the window. “I didn't know someone had that much faith in me.” He was at ease, trying to put his

Johnson couldn't move; he was looking at Silas. He knew nothing was going to save him from what was coming his way. Noelle walked closer to Johnson. Her expression was dark, and the rage in her eyes could be seen. “Mr. Johnson, I believe you can explain yourself?” Johnson was looking at them; it wasn't clear what he was expected to say, but then he turned to Silas, and his anger boiled more. Silas raised his brow, looking at the man in front of him; he wasn't in the mood to entertain rubbish. “I believe you were asked a question so I want to know why you thought it would be a good—” “It was because you took everything from me!” Johnson shot out; he was looking at Silas with pure rage. “I am a medical student, with high majors and all the required documents, but then I am overshadowed by a genius who seems to work miracles!” Silas was looking at Johnson; the correct set of words couldn't come out of his mouth at the moment. “I wanted to make sure that one patient would be remov

Silas turned to the children; his eyes were closed, almost like he was praying. His hands were by his side— no one knew what he was doing, but they could see that he was up to something. The moment he opened his eyes, they had a jade glow, but it was clear that no one could notice it. He turned to the boys in front of him and began the examination. His eyes went through their body suddenly, he paused when he spotted something on their neck—‘Black veins.’Silas touched the vein, and he could feel that there was something off about the vein and the way it was on both their necks. ‘Since when did this get to Sintril?’ Silas could recognize what was making the children sick. He took a scalpel, and he made a small cut on both their arms. The brown-haired girl was uneasy watching them; she didn't know what Silas was doing or how he was going to help the twins. “Sister, I don’t know how this man is going to be able to save them. He is acting like a madman.” She was looking at the red-h

Silas threw the phone to the side, placing his head back on the chair. He didn’t say a word; it wasn’t what anyone would want to imagine. “Should I sink them?” Austin muttered; he was looking at his phone. “You know, it’s one word, and I will make sure that the Forrest family will understand what role you played in their lives.” Austin was looking at Silas; his face held nothing like a grudge. “No, leave them.” Silas didn't want anything that would make him even think of Lauren and her family. “I will let fate handle her, and you know there is no way for her to walk away from it for long.” He had a calm face; it was like he had erased her from his mind. Austin smiled; he turned to his phone. His brows raised when he looked at what was in front of him. “Well, if you were not going to do anything, then just know she is about to be hit hard by the Holt family; news spreads fast— even when the Prince of Ash is no longer protecting them.” Silas rolled his eyes; he looked out the wi
