Mrs. Bailey shot a furious glare at Thomas as he approached. Thomas quickly rushed over to Ava, who looked pale, and gently helped her lie back down on the bed. "Are you okay?" he asked, concern evident in his voice. Ava shook her head softly, then turned to Mrs. Bailey and said, "Mom, Dad, could you please step outside for a moment? I need to talk to Thomas alone.

David Bennett waved his hand, signaling Aaron to release Emily and the others. Emily, who had been some distance away from Thomas, hadn't heard their conversation and was puzzled as to why they were suddenly set free. As soon as they were out, they bolted, as if fearing David might change his mind and refuse to let them go. When they stepped out of the Club, Emily and the others took a deep breath, as if they had been given a second chance at life. They were impressed that Thomas had somehow convinced David to let them go, but they didn't think that meant he had the upper hand. They had heard plenty of rumors about David, and they were deeply afraid of him. Once outside the club, they planned to escape the area to avoid being caught again. However, Emily hesitated. It wasn't that she was worried about Thomas; she felt a sense of guilt. She wanted to see what would happen next and how Thomas had managed to persuade David to let them leave. Before long, a blue car pulled up in fron

Aaron looked at Thomas with a provocative smirk, his tone teasing as he said, "You're not thinking of leaving your sister-in-law here, are you? According to the rules here, if you can't come up with the cash, you'll drop something." Emily’s eyes widened in fear at his words, tears welling up as she turned to Thomas. "What are you doing just sitting there? Hurry up and get the money! Don't joke around with me, I know you can come up with it!" Today, Emily had accidentally gotten herself into this mess. If she had known they would face such dire consequences, they would never have dared to cause trouble here. Seeing Emily panic and shout at him, Thomas remained calm, his expression as steady as ever, without a hint of concern. Aaron raised an eyebrow at this scene, wondering if this loser had a trick up his sleeve. But he quickly shook his head; it was impossible. According to Emily, he was just a good-for-nothing mooch. Maybe he was just too scared to react. With that thought, a smu

Seeing her endless complaints, Ava couldn't help but feel a headache coming on. She quickly turned to Thomas and said, "Could You step outside for a moment? I need to talk to Mom." Thomas understood that Ava was trying to give him an excuse to leave, so he nodded and walked out. As he left, Mrs. Bailey's dissatisfaction grew, and she muttered, "Look at him! He treats me, his mother-in-law, like I'm nothing. At this rate, he'll end up ruining our whole family." Listening to her mother's words, Ava pretended to feel tired and said she needed to rest. Mrs. Bailey, concerned for her daughter, didn't linger any longer. Outside the hospital went to buy a plate of porridge hoping to feed Ava. However, she refused his offer and took the bowl herself, sipping it slowly. Each small movement sent a jolt of pain through her wound, causing her to break out in a sweat and turn pale. Thomas watched her struggle, his heart aching even more. Just then, Edward rushed in, looking flustered. Cu
