The other customers started murmuring, whispering amongst themselves as they watched as things folded out.

“It’s starting to get messy.”

“Who is he? Did he really steal from Lord Kade’s sister?”

“Maybe he needs some money”

“What’s going on here? The manager demanded from the Clerk and the gossiping seemed to quiet down.

Everyone wanted to know what the manager was going to do.

“This delivery boy just stole from me.” Hannah quickly accused Cephas. “I am a regular here, how can this kind of mishap befall me?”

“Ma’am, I am sorry about what happened. I will look into it right away.” The manager bowed before her.

Cephas cared less about the situation with Hannah, he was rather happy that they were treating their customers with utmost care.

The staff didn’t recognize them, the manager was even a new staff member, Sarah had not mentioned it to him.No one there knew him as their boss.

“Sir, we have been watching the whole scenario from the cctv…”

‘I just knew it, he surely took the card from me," Hannah interrupted the manager. “Send him out of here unless I will call my lawyers and  they will sue you on my behalf.”

“Can we settle this in private, we should not let others pry into  the case because of your image and ours too,” the manager advised but like he expected Hannah refused.

“No, I am not willing to settle. We are going to drag this out. He needs to be taught a big lesson so he will never repeat this in his life, till he dies.” She packs the content she spilled back into the bag.

“Call the police to come and pick him. His presence is irritating me.” She added angrily.

‘We need to listen to both sides ma’am|” The manager pleaded with her.

She flipped her hair and tucked a lock of it behind her hair. “You think if you ask him, he will fall on his knees and say, I took your atm card and I am sorry for doing that”

“No, but..”

“I won’t take buts, Mr. Manger. Throw him out right now and have the police pick him up.” She ordered.

“We will do that right after we question him right in front of you. Would you like us to discuss this privately?” The manager requested.

“No! Everyone must be aware of his nasty behavior, the guts he had to steal from a very rich lady like me.” She rolled her eyes at Cephas.

“Okay ma’am.” The manager turned to me. “Hello sir. Our client here is looking for her atm card, did you see it?”

“I did see her holding it for a second but suddenly I could not see it again.” Cephas admitted truthfully. “Maybe a pickpocket took it from her.” He suggested.

“He even knows who took it from me. I am sure he  is the one.” Hannah started yelling again. The attention of the whole lobby was now on them.

“You allowed a mere delivery boy to bring a cake in, using the entrance meant for the customer. I didn’t spend a fortune here so that some stinky people will access this place.”

“I admit that  was negligence on our part, I am sorry.” He apologized, not wanting to say they were not expecting any cake man.

“Neither am I here to deliver anything.” Cephas added to what the manager said.

“So why are you here holding a cake when you clearly work as a delivery man for a cake company.”

“What I am here for is none of your business, Hannah. I have the right  to keep it to myself. I am only gonna tell you that I am not here as a delivery man.”

“So you are here as a thief, who you plan on stealing from, next?”

“Cut that shit up and stop calling me a thief. Let’s check the CCTV to confirm if I took your empty atm card.”

“Empty? You can’t even earn the money in it in a year?”

“Don’t be ridiculous. You are putting up a show here because you can't afford the $1000 bill the clerk gave you. Instead of accepting the shame that a wealthy girl like you can’t pay for it, you are pinning your misfortune on me.” Cephas spat.

“What! How did you know the amount I had in the card?”

The manager and the other staff just stood there and watched the drama unfold. They could not stop it to avoid legal issues from the parties involved, especially Hannah, they knew how problematic she was.

It wasn’t her first time throwing unreasonable tantrums at the hotel, either with the staff or a fellow customer.

“I didn’t mention any amount. We both know that your atm card isn’t missing and my assumption is so right.” he replied with confidence. “If you know I am wrong, let us check the CCTV camera.”

Hannah wondered where his confidence came from but she wasn't going to give in to a loser like him, especially when it’s a public affair. She was determined to take it to the end.

“You can’t tell me what to do, They are going to throw you out, you bloody thief. I knew you were always after my money.”

“Just because of the few bucks you got from your parent’s inheritance and the allowance your brother placed you on, you think you are all mighty and better than me. Jokes on you.”

“I am better than you and mighty. You can’t out me with your empty words, you pickpocket, give me my atm card, you poverty stricken man.”

Everyone in the hallway gasped then the murmuring became louder.

“Isn’t she doing too much? I mean she is not even willing to check the cctv.”

“She is obviously framing him, I had known about her mission since I saw her bright red lipstick. She even looks like trouble, fam,”

“Lord Kade’s younger sister? She has always been troublesome.”

“The management should move this awkward scene away from the lobby, they are delaying the other guests from getting in.”

“Ms Hannah, Please, it would help to address this situation in private. You are obstructing our business.” The manager suggested.

“I am also a customer like every other person here. I will only solve this here..” She refused bluntly.

“You have to comply with our request ma’am, or we will invite the police.”

“I will handle this,” Cephas assured the manager, he moved close to Hannah and she flinched. “Do not come near me, you monkey! You stink.” She yelled at him.

“Trust me, it’s for your own good, you either listen to them or the police will come and get you.”

“Why would they arrest me when you are the thief here ? I won't let you go scot free.”

“Okay, if you are sure of yourself and you know you are not telling lies about your atm card, let’s check the camera your words alone are not enough,”

“I am sure of myself. My words alone should be enough proof, I spend a lot of money here monthly. We don’t need the camera.

“I am afraid the security will have to throw you out then. “ the manager replied to her. “If you have nothing to hide and you want us to resolve this, let’s check the CCTV Camera.”

She looked around and everyone’s attention was on her, she had no choice but to give in. “Okay, let’s check out” She agreed reluctantly.
