Chapter 7

John and Sonia sat at the front seat. John was looking at the husband but the husband did as if he didn't not see him.

Few minutes later the bride danced happily and rejoiced with her friends as they came forward to the priest. It is time to Join the two together as one.

The priest said " Is there anyone in this gathering that doesn't want us to unite this two together as husband and wife should stand up or remain silent forever".

Before the priest could add more words John stood up and all the congregation shouted "Haaaa!!!!!!!".

Amanda was getting furious and her anger was boiling.

The groom looked at John with a killing eyes.

John said "I want to go and use the bathroom that is why I stand up or is there something bad about that".

As John was moving toward the bathroom Cynthia, who was sitting beside the groom's family, excused herself to meet John outside.

"Good afternoon sir I thought you said you had a wedding to attend today or is it this wedding you are referring to" Cynthia asked.

John responded "Yes it is this wedding I was talking about, so the groom is the one of workers 

"Yes he his the head of the jewelry department, alright sir I will be leaving first" Cynthia said.

John also went back to the church after the priest had joined the couple and as announced them as both husband and wife.

Amanda was panicking about John's appearance and the way he dressed, she had it in mind to confront him when next she had the opportunity to see him.

John and Sonia drive down to where the  party  is been head, they join the party. 

A few minutes later Amanda approaches John and Amanda sits rudely

Amanda asked "Who invited you this poor thing you better go and return the suit and all these expensive things you are putting on. Who knows maybe it was a stonle material because I know you can't afford this all your entire life".

As Amanda continued talking Cynthia was approaching John and Sonia sit but looking at the bride standing in front of them.

Cynthia said congratulations you Mrs 

Cynthia said "Sir the CEO of the digital global company is here, she said she wants to meet with you should I direct her here".

John replied "Don't worry I will go and meet her

This got Amanda angry as she lifted her hand to slap John  Sonia, get her hand in the air and pull it down. 

Amanda faced Sonia and said " What is the gut you have to touch me with this your flirty hand".

Sonia replied " You must be out of your mind how dare you raise up your hand to slap a man". 

John cleared his throat and said " Amanda you are very lucky that I am in a good mood. If not you should have been dealt with so take your time this John you are looking at him not the same as the John you always know".

John and Cynthia and Sonia left to meet the CEO of the Digital global company. Surprisingly it was Becky, his old friend from the University. As they both saw each other, they both hugged each other.

Becky said, " John, it has been a long time. The last time we met was when we were posted to different places for our NYSC. During that time of service I lost my phone so that was where I stored all my contacts''.

Becky continued "Can you wait for me because I want to meet the CEO of the Beauty Global Concept after the meeting I will come back to see you".

John smiled and replied "Actually am the new CEO of the Beauty Global Concept".

" Are you for real because I used to know Mr Anthony as the CEO of the company and later it was his wife after his accident and some months ago his wife died so how come? '' Becky asked in curiosity.

John answered " It's a long story I will tell you when we have the time to talk better, so what did you want to tell me".

Becky replied " Your company had a deal with our company and after the deal your company did not complete their payment as promised and I spoke with the acting CEO Mr Patrick Roland" about the payment but he keeps giving excuses".

"Sorry for the disappointment, although this is the first time I will be hearing such a thing since I have been appointed as CEO. It's okay i will see to that first thing on Monday" John answered.

"Am counting on you don't disappoint us, okay let focus on the party" Becky replied.

John smiled and said " I won't be spending much time here because I have a lot to do at home".

"Okay are single or is it this beautiful lady in blue the lucky woman". Becky asked.

Sonia replied "Actually we are just friends".

Yeah we are friends John also replied".

Becky asked John did you like her".

John quickly said Let discuss about it later the party is going on don't let us miss out the vibe".

"Music"

Amanda and her husband with there families  were dancing on the stage, John stood up together with Becky and Sonia to join them on getting there Becky started spraying money both the wife and the husband.

John stayed beside the bride mother and father he started spraying dollars on the Father later he sprayed the mother.

The bride mother was found bending and standing up as before people will see her  she started picked up the money putting it in to her bag.

This act was seen by Amanda so she whispered to her husband

" Honey won't you spray money on me".

The husband replied "Am out of cash have given out the whole cash on me and I would have go to the bank to withdraw but I left my ATM card at home".

Amanda was unhappy with what her husband said, she pretended as if she was happy few minutes later John came to the new couple and started spraying money on them heavily.

The husband was very mad at John with all what he was performing he danced close to John and stepped hard on his toes. 

John was angry with the act of the husband but he calmed himself left the the stage back to his seat,few minutes later Becky and Sonia left the stage as they heading back to their seat Sonia was smiling at John.

Becky asked "Are you in any way in love with John or you are only just a friend".

Sonia replied "Actually we are friends but". 

Before Sonia could finish her statement Amanda approaches them.

"Mrs Becky Williams thank you for honoring our invitation am very grateful also thanks for the gifts" Amanda said.

Becky replied "It nothing my dear wife your husband have been of a good business partner to our company this is just a token of appreciations for what he has done".

Amanda smiled

Becky hugged her and said "My regards to your husband am set to go now, I have an appointment to meet up with".

Amanda was looking at Sonia in a disgusting way for what she had done early by standing by John's side, Amanda returned back to her husband.

Sonia and Becky went to John, Sonia sat down beside John.

Becky said "Am taking my leave now so here is my private card so give me yours so that we could meet because we have a lot to discuss I would have loved to stay but am having an appointment see you next time".

John smiled and replied "It okay here is my card alright I will give you a call tonight".

Becky hugged John and she left this makes Sonia jealous, John faced Sonia to ask her if she is ready to go home but to John greatest surprise she was not beside him she had left. 

John was confused where she could be.
