11 PM.

When Kiara had already fallen asleep in the room after being satisfied playing with Arya, the siblings sat in the living room facing each other.

Arya, who had now changed into a t-shirt and regular pants, sat upright, looking at his younger sister in front of him who was looking down while holding a cup of tea in her hands. She looked nervous and didn't know where to start.

"Haaahh..." Sighing softly, Arya tried not to force her, and began to open the conversation, "What happened? Kiara... She's my child born by Lana, right?"

Aruna nodded heavily to confirm, but didn't explain further.

Arya's brows furrowed slightly, and finally he asked more, "Then, how could she call you 'mama'? What really happened? Where are Lana and our parents? Why are you here alone? What really happened after I disappeared?"

Aruna raised her head, looking at her older brother who was now looking at her with suspicion and worry. The woman felt sad before answering, "Brother, must you ask so many things at once?"

"Well..." Arya was startled, and while smiling apologetically, tried to ask more slowly, "Just explain, what happened since I disappeared."

Hearing that question, Aruna seemed to take a deep breath before starting to speak, "What could have happened other than us immediately trying to find your whereabouts?"

Arya fell silent, and kept looking at Aruna so she would continue explaining.

"At that time, our whole family panicked when we heard that you disappeared in the mountains. Even Mother wouldn't eat or sleep. In the end, Father used all his connections and wealth to search for you there himself. Hiring the most reliable guides, and so on."

"Father did everything, including checking every corpse still frozen there, but your whereabouts were never found. It was as if you vanished!"

Arya nodded, didn't comment and knew it was impossible to find him at that time, because he had actually gone to another world, so it was impossible to find him.

"After weeks and months of searching for you without results, Father finally gave up, and accepted your departure, hoping a miracle would come. However, something happened again," Aruna suddenly stopped here, and began to look at Arya with an angry and hateful gaze.

Making Arya shocked and confused when he saw the hatred in both her eyes.

"Three months after your departure, Sister-in-law suddenly came carrying a baby who was only a few months old. She said it was your child, and asked our family to take care of her. After handing over Kiara, sister-in-law immediately left, and until now we don't know where she is!"

"What did you say?" Arya's brows suddenly furrowed when he heard that story. "Disappeared without a trace until now? What really happened?"

Aruna shook her head not knowing, and continued her story, "After that, Father and Mother became even more panicked. So they both started looking not only for you, but also for sister-in-law. But an accident suddenly happened, which resulted in both our parents dying in that accident."

"Dead? Father and Mother are already dead?" Arya's face paled slightly upon hearing it.

His original purpose of returning to see his family seemed to be in vain. The parents he wanted to see were actually already dead. Even Lana, the woman he had missed for thousands of years in loneliness, her whereabouts were unknown.

Aruna nodded, and continued to explain with eyes that began to redden, "After Father and Mother left, the company Father built also went bankrupt. In the end, everything was lost. Only I and baby Kiara who was still small remained. At that time, I... I was still fifteen years old. Just in high school. With only me alone taking care of Kiara, in the end I... I..."

Aruna couldn't continue her story anymore, because tears had already fallen wetting her cheeks, and her sobbing voice could no longer be held back. However, no matter how strong Aruna was, she was only twenty years old.

Remembering the times when she was fifteen years old watching her family members leave one by one and never return, that was a trauma difficult to forget. Not to mention the struggle a fifteen-year-old girl had to do while caring for a baby who was only a few months old.

Such a struggle, if Aruna didn't have a heart as hard as stone, it was impossible for a girl to still be able to survive until now.

"Little bean..." After Arya saw her, he felt guilty, and walked to her side.

Stroking her head and trying to calm her, Arya knew that it seemed the little girl who in the past always followed him had suffered too much. Telling the dark story of the past would only bring back trauma to her.

"Forgive me. I have made you and our parents suffer. From now on I promise, I won't leave again."

Aruna just nodded, and buried her face in Arya's chest, sobbing, and didn't speak anymore.

At the same time, Arya began to think that it seemed there were many stories that happened since he disappeared. Event after event seemed sequential, and not by chance.

If he remembered correctly, the time he fell from a cliff while climbing Mount Himalaya was actually not by chance either. But there was someone who pushed him deliberately, as if someone indeed intended to harm him.

Then the series of events after that were also too coincidental, weren't they?

What if everything was planned by someone? Only, who did all that? And what was the motive?

Arya's brows furrowed, and he thought if what happened in the past was as he thought, he wouldn't hesitate to show what the consequences were if someone dared to hurt his family!

"BAM! BAM! BAM!" The sound of the door being pounded from outside dispersed Arya's thoughts.

"Aruna! Open the door! I know you're inside!"

Hearing that voice, Aruna who was in Arya's embrace suddenly stopped, and looked toward the door with an anxious face.

"What's really happening?" Arya couldn't help but ask when he saw the anxiety on his sister's face.

"That... Well, it's nothing!" Not answering, Aruna tried not to worry too much, and wiped her tears before opening the door.

There, two strong men, looking fierce full of tattoos and piercings stood in front of the door staggering. Without permission, they both began to enter the house with arrogant and disgusted faces. Especially when they looked toward Arya.

"Tsk tsk tsk... I thought you were a good woman, turns out you brought a man to your house! Bah, truly a woman pretending to be innocent!" One of them suddenly sneered.

"I've said many times, if you want to get more income, just come to my bar, I guarantee earning 10 million in one night is not impossible. But you refuse, and now you secretly bring another man to your house. Truly hypocritical!"

Arya's face furrowed, and turned cold when he saw the two thugs who were clearly not Aruna's friends.

Aruna's face also became cold, and looked at them both with disgusted eyes before saying, "What are you doing right now? Didn't I already say that I will pay the debt installment at the end of this month? Coming late at night like this, aren't you afraid I'll scream for help?"

"Hahaha!" Instead of being afraid, the two people who seemed to be debt collectors actually laughed heartily.

Looking at the angry Aruna with a teasing and mocking tone, they both began to sneer, "Scream all you want! Anyway, everyone knows that you're a slut who gave birth at fifteen years old!"

"What are we afraid of if you scream? If you really scream, won't they just think you're just servicing someone! Isn't that what you're doing now?"

"Deputy Mayor Daniel?"Fear and panic crept into Doyle's chest, but he forced himself to stay composed, rising to his feet to receive the man.He smiled. "Mr. Daniel, what brings you here? You should have called ahead — I would have prepared a proper welcome.""If I had announced my arrival beforehand, would you truly have welcomed me?" Daniel asked, his tone carrying a distinct chill."Of course!" Doyle nodded quickly, the brief flash of arrogance in his expression immediately replaced by something more cooperative and deferential. "A visit from Mr. Daniel is a rare occasion, so—""I don't need your welcome." Daniel cut him off, and this time his gaze settled on the corrupt officer before him with quiet, unwavering coldness."I'm here for the same reason as Lawyer Darren and this young woman. I'm asking you to suspend the arrest and investigation of Mr. Arya Ananta. Better yet — release him now."The smile vanished from Doyle's face. A shadow passed over it.In truth, with Danan's ba

At the city police precinct, inside a dim and windowless interrogation room, Arya sat with his eyes closed — perfectly still, perfectly calm. Then, slowly, he raised his head and opened his eyes. The door to the interrogation room was creaking open. Doyle — the captain who had arrested him the night before — stepped inside. He was fully geared up: bulletproof vest, anti-riot helmet, firearm in hand. Despite all of it, there was a visible tension in his frame as he looked at the man sitting quietly at the center of the room. Arya was younger than him by several years, and he looked completely at peace. That alone was enough to make Doyle's nerves pull taut. Honestly, the last place Doyle wanted to be was in this room. The bent handcuffs lying on the floor and the two ruined firearms scattered nearby were not things he knew how to explain — only things he knew he couldn't fix. Throughout the night, he had sent subordinate after subordinate in to interrogate Arya, to pressure him,

At that same moment, inside the company's R&D research center, Evelyn stood watching her team with a quiet smile she couldn't quite suppress. She turned the small jar of vivid green cream over in her hands. The relief that settled over her was real. The formula Arya had handed her on that single slip of paper was no bluff — if anything, it surpassed everything her team had been struggling to develop on their own.She still had no idea how that strange man had known exactly what she needed, or why he had simply walked in and handed it to her. She didn't have time to think about that now.She looked toward the middle-aged man standing a short distance away. "Is it genuinely safe? No harmful side effects?"Arga, the head of Valen Beauty's R&D team, nodded — though his expression carried a trace of something closer to awe than simple confirmation."Safe doesn't even begin to cover it, President Evelyn. This formula is... it's brilliant. Given where modern science and pharmacology currentl

At six o'clock the following morning, a black Porsche pulled up and stopped in front of Arya's rented home.A moment later, three people stepped out — two men and a young girl. The man who emerged first appeared to be in his early thirties, carrying himself with an air of quiet authority. He smiled warmly as he glanced down at the little girl beside him — a child of about five years old."Is this the place?" he asked his driver. The driver nodded without hesitation. "Yes, sir. After the news yesterday, your assistant Mr. Daniel provided the address. This is it."Thomas Hale — son of Robert Hale, the elderly man Arya had saved in front of the school — gave a small nod and studied the modest rental property before him, a slight frown creasing his brow."Is this where Kiara lives?" Viona asked, tilting her head in genuine confusion as she looked at the building. "Why is it so small? It's even smaller than the storage room at our house."Thomas opened his mouth to respond — but stopped wh

As for Arya, he remained seated at the dining table with a calm, unbothered expression — only the faintest crease forming between his brows.Several gun barrels were pointed directly at him, yet he felt no fear. His immortal body was beyond the reach of any firearm. That wasn't what troubled him. What troubled him was the fact that they had forced their way into his home, sent his little daughter into a screaming panic — and for a reason that made absolutely no sense.Assault and battery against seven people earlier that afternoon? That was when he had dealt with Danan's hired thugs. No — that had been self-defense, hadn't it?He was now being treated as a criminal for defending himself against men who had come to harm him? Labeled as the aggressor?Since when had protecting yourself from an unprovoked attack become a crime? But Arya understood exactly what was happening. He couldn't help the thin smile that tugged at the corner of his mouth as he looked over the assembled officers."

"Of course. Isn't Daddy a hero, after all?" Arya smiled and answered with a proud tilt of his chin.Even if he couldn't honestly call himself a true "hero" by any definition, he could still be one for his own daughter, couldn't he?"Yes!" Kiara nodded enthusiastically. "Daddy is a strong, brave hero who can do magic! He made all the bad men disappear!""So — does Ara like magic tricks?""Yes! Ara loves them! I want to see more! Daddy, can you do another one? Please?""Of course," Arya said with a nod, setting her down gently onto the floor. "But since it's already noon, we need to have lunch first. Then a bath, and then some studying.""Hmph!" Kiara's expression immediately collapsed into a full pout, both cheeks puffed out in protest.Arya couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. He steered her inside with a hand on her back, saying, "Tell you what — after lunch, your bath, and your studies, Daddy will show you a very special magic trick tonight. One that only Ara gets to see. But onl
