This didn't make sense!

"Kiara..." A woman's voice coming from behind Arya immediately snapped him out of his daze. However, it also left him speechless once again.

"Mama!" Kiara, the little girl, immediately shouted and called to a woman beside Arya. "Mama's finally home! I missed you so much!"

Arya looked at the approaching figure, and his feelings became mixed. Because this woman who appeared to be in her early twenties, 165 cm tall with a beautiful and gentle face, had features that overlapped with his younger sister from the past.

"Aruna... Is that you?" Arya's voice sounded hoarse and trembling.

"Who are you?" Aruna immediately became wary and placed Kiara behind her.

Staring at the figure of a man in a white robe with long black hair in front of her house, Aruna's face suddenly turned cold.

"Mama, Mama... This mister wanted to kidnap me!" Combined with Kiara's words, Aruna's face immediately became as cold as ice when looking at Arya.

"This..."

For the umpteenth time in thousands of years, the Immortal Emperor was truly stunned and helpless in facing the situation.

"You are..." Aruna began to stare at the man in front of her carefully.

Looking him up and down, observing the face of a young man who appeared to be 25 years old, looking handsome and dignified, Aruna felt like she had seen him before. But she was doubtful because this person wore strange clothes.

Starting from his waist-length long hair, jet-black hair like a woman's hair, Aruna wondered—was this man playing dress-up?

Just look at that white robe with strange ornaments all over his body!

If looked at more carefully, this man seemed to be a crazy person or an anime fan who was cosplaying!

But what was odd was, what was he doing here? Was it as Kiara said, that this man actually planned to kidnap her daughter? But that didn't make sense, did it?

At the same time Aruna was examining him, Arya also began to observe his younger sister whom he hadn't seen for five thousand years. While smiling, he looked happy when he noticed Aruna's expression that seemed to realize something.

However, the words that came next made Arya fall silent again.

"I don't know who you are or what your purpose is coming here, but it seems you're just an unfortunate person who needs money." While speaking, Aruna suddenly pulled out a five dollar note and held it out toward Arya.

"Here, take it. Use that money to find food and go home immediately. Don't let your parents worry about you!"

Arya truly couldn't say anything when he heard his sister's words, especially when he saw the money being offered to him.

This girl, didn't she realize who he was? How dare she!

"Mama, Mama!" Before Arya could speak, the little girl suddenly called Aruna with a sulky look. "Why is Mama giving this mister money? Didn't Ara just say this mister wanted to kidnap me?"

Hearing that question, Aruna's face immediately softened, and while smiling began to answer, "Ara, he's not a bad person. Look at his clothes and hair. He might be lost or perhaps left behind by his friends while attending a certain event. Therefore, he intends to find someone to ask for help or borrow money so he can go back home."

"Remember, when there's someone who needs help, as long as they're not a bad person, we must help them if we can, okay?"

"Hmm..." Kiara's eyes blinked, trying to understand what Aruna was teaching before finally nodding in understanding.

"Okay!"

But with her innocent face, whether she understood or not, only God knew.

The two adults there just smiled and looked at the girl affectionately. Even Arya couldn't contain his joy when watching his little daughter looking so sweet.

"Good girl..." Aruna said while smiling and stroking her head.

Then looking back at Arya, she held out the money again.

"Before I scream for help, quickly take this money and leave here!"

This time, Arya suddenly smiled. Looking at the woman who looked firm and dignified in front of him, he wasn't angry, but instead chuckled softly.

"Little bean, do you think I should accept that money or not?"

"Little... Little bean..." Hearing that name, Aruna's body suddenly trembled.

When looking at Arya's face which was now smiling gently at her, suddenly her eyes began to water. Her mouth moved, trying to say something, but nothing came out of her mouth.

"What's wrong?" When watching his younger sister begin to stutter, Arya began to smile widely, looking at her with an amused gaze.

While folding both arms across his chest, Arya asked again with a teasing tone, "Forgot about the big monkey you always followed around?"

At that very moment, the papers and bag in Aruna's hands immediately fell to the ground. And without a single word, she immediately lunged at Arya's body. Hugging him tightly, and began to sob.

"Brother!"

"Huu... I missed you! Where have you been all this time? You left without saying anything for five years... I thought, I thought you were dead... Huhuhu..."

The image of the firm and dignified woman from moments ago instantly disappeared. While crying and speaking in an unclear tone, Aruna kept hugging her older brother tightly, afraid that everything was a dream!

Little bean and big monkey. Those were their nicknames for years in the past, and only the siblings and their family knew about them.

So, after Arya called her by the nickname "little bean," a nickname she hadn't heard in years, Aruna's brain immediately went blank.

Combined with Arya himself calling himself "big monkey"—the nickname she had given him since she was six years old—Aruna no longer hesitated, and was very sure that the strange person in front of her was her older brother.

Her older brother who disappeared five years ago!

Arya smiled happily and sadly when he saw his younger sister hugging him so tightly. He knew that it seemed since he left, this little girl had suffered a lot.

Just look at her thin body in his embrace!

While sighing and stroking her head and ruffling her hair like in the past, Arya said, "It's a long story. But... I'm home now..."

"Umm... Umm..." Aruna just nodded and kept hugging him, seemingly not intending to let go.

This made Kiara, the little girl not far from the two, feel strange. Watching her mother who had always seemed fierce, gentle and strong suddenly hugging a stranger, the girl didn't understand what was happening. Especially when watching her mother crying and sobbing like when she herself was crying!

Was this mister hurting her mother?

Kiara tilted her head, then walked toward Arya while tugging at his robe.

"Mister, please let go of my mother! Don't hurt Mama, Ara promises not to be naughty anymore..." While speaking, both her eyes began to fill with tears.

"Oh..."

That immediately awakened Aruna, and she hurriedly released her embrace with embarrassment. But before she could coax Kiara, Arya had already picked up the little girl and carried her with affection.

"No, no. Daddy didn't do anything! Don't cry, Kiara is the best child in the world..." While speaking, Arya gently wiped away her tears, making the little girl suddenly stop and stare at him with wide eyes.

"Daddy?" Kiara suddenly stopped and looked at Arya's figure before her. There was clearly hope, fear, and anticipation in both her eyes.

"Is Mister my daddy?"

That question and gaze made the Immortal Emperor who had lived for more than five thousand years feel sad and anxious. In the end, he could only nod heavily without saying a word.

Because for him now, fulfilling his duty as a father was far more important and valuable than empty promises.

"Yay!" Kiara suddenly shouted happily, and now took her turn hugging Arya's neck!

"Finally I have a daddy! Ara is no longer a child without a father! No one can mock Ara for not having a father anymore!"

"Deputy Mayor Daniel?"Fear and panic crept into Doyle's chest, but he forced himself to stay composed, rising to his feet to receive the man.He smiled. "Mr. Daniel, what brings you here? You should have called ahead — I would have prepared a proper welcome.""If I had announced my arrival beforehand, would you truly have welcomed me?" Daniel asked, his tone carrying a distinct chill."Of course!" Doyle nodded quickly, the brief flash of arrogance in his expression immediately replaced by something more cooperative and deferential. "A visit from Mr. Daniel is a rare occasion, so—""I don't need your welcome." Daniel cut him off, and this time his gaze settled on the corrupt officer before him with quiet, unwavering coldness."I'm here for the same reason as Lawyer Darren and this young woman. I'm asking you to suspend the arrest and investigation of Mr. Arya Ananta. Better yet — release him now."The smile vanished from Doyle's face. A shadow passed over it.In truth, with Danan's ba

At the city police precinct, inside a dim and windowless interrogation room, Arya sat with his eyes closed — perfectly still, perfectly calm. Then, slowly, he raised his head and opened his eyes. The door to the interrogation room was creaking open. Doyle — the captain who had arrested him the night before — stepped inside. He was fully geared up: bulletproof vest, anti-riot helmet, firearm in hand. Despite all of it, there was a visible tension in his frame as he looked at the man sitting quietly at the center of the room. Arya was younger than him by several years, and he looked completely at peace. That alone was enough to make Doyle's nerves pull taut. Honestly, the last place Doyle wanted to be was in this room. The bent handcuffs lying on the floor and the two ruined firearms scattered nearby were not things he knew how to explain — only things he knew he couldn't fix. Throughout the night, he had sent subordinate after subordinate in to interrogate Arya, to pressure him,

At that same moment, inside the company's R&D research center, Evelyn stood watching her team with a quiet smile she couldn't quite suppress. She turned the small jar of vivid green cream over in her hands. The relief that settled over her was real. The formula Arya had handed her on that single slip of paper was no bluff — if anything, it surpassed everything her team had been struggling to develop on their own.She still had no idea how that strange man had known exactly what she needed, or why he had simply walked in and handed it to her. She didn't have time to think about that now.She looked toward the middle-aged man standing a short distance away. "Is it genuinely safe? No harmful side effects?"Arga, the head of Valen Beauty's R&D team, nodded — though his expression carried a trace of something closer to awe than simple confirmation."Safe doesn't even begin to cover it, President Evelyn. This formula is... it's brilliant. Given where modern science and pharmacology currentl

At six o'clock the following morning, a black Porsche pulled up and stopped in front of Arya's rented home.A moment later, three people stepped out — two men and a young girl. The man who emerged first appeared to be in his early thirties, carrying himself with an air of quiet authority. He smiled warmly as he glanced down at the little girl beside him — a child of about five years old."Is this the place?" he asked his driver. The driver nodded without hesitation. "Yes, sir. After the news yesterday, your assistant Mr. Daniel provided the address. This is it."Thomas Hale — son of Robert Hale, the elderly man Arya had saved in front of the school — gave a small nod and studied the modest rental property before him, a slight frown creasing his brow."Is this where Kiara lives?" Viona asked, tilting her head in genuine confusion as she looked at the building. "Why is it so small? It's even smaller than the storage room at our house."Thomas opened his mouth to respond — but stopped wh

As for Arya, he remained seated at the dining table with a calm, unbothered expression — only the faintest crease forming between his brows.Several gun barrels were pointed directly at him, yet he felt no fear. His immortal body was beyond the reach of any firearm. That wasn't what troubled him. What troubled him was the fact that they had forced their way into his home, sent his little daughter into a screaming panic — and for a reason that made absolutely no sense.Assault and battery against seven people earlier that afternoon? That was when he had dealt with Danan's hired thugs. No — that had been self-defense, hadn't it?He was now being treated as a criminal for defending himself against men who had come to harm him? Labeled as the aggressor?Since when had protecting yourself from an unprovoked attack become a crime? But Arya understood exactly what was happening. He couldn't help the thin smile that tugged at the corner of his mouth as he looked over the assembled officers."

"Of course. Isn't Daddy a hero, after all?" Arya smiled and answered with a proud tilt of his chin.Even if he couldn't honestly call himself a true "hero" by any definition, he could still be one for his own daughter, couldn't he?"Yes!" Kiara nodded enthusiastically. "Daddy is a strong, brave hero who can do magic! He made all the bad men disappear!""So — does Ara like magic tricks?""Yes! Ara loves them! I want to see more! Daddy, can you do another one? Please?""Of course," Arya said with a nod, setting her down gently onto the floor. "But since it's already noon, we need to have lunch first. Then a bath, and then some studying.""Hmph!" Kiara's expression immediately collapsed into a full pout, both cheeks puffed out in protest.Arya couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. He steered her inside with a hand on her back, saying, "Tell you what — after lunch, your bath, and your studies, Daddy will show you a very special magic trick tonight. One that only Ara gets to see. But onl
