Infuriated, Sophia fumed, her face staring daggers at Henry.

"You are nothing but a fool."

Sophia cursed under her breath and walked toward the door. Just then, before she reached the door, Henry’s voice sounded.

"I will take responsibility for all that happened."

Henry walked toward Sophia, his hands gripping the door handle, preventing her from stepping out.

"Take this." Henry insisted his gaze fixed on Sophia.

In his hands, he held a pair of earrings, and when Sophia saw them, she shifted her gaze back to Henry.

"What will I do with these?"

"Take them with you. Anytime you need my help, I will be there in no time. It’s a way to take responsibility for what had happened."

Henry insisted.

"I don’t need any help from you, and what could earrings do anyway?"

Sophia snarled.

"It looks like you have forgotten how I saved you from dying due to a cardiac attack, right? I might still be of help to you if any of it happened."

Henry gasped.

Sophia hissed with narrowed eyes, then pushed Henry’s hands off the door handle. Just then, before she knew it, Henry pinned her to the wall, then put the earrings forcefully on her ears.

"Anytime you are in trouble, you can press the earrings. So take them; they will be of handy to you someday."

Henry muttered into Sophia’s ears.

Sophia blushed at Henry, seeing how persistent he was, and indeed he could be of help to her someday.

"You dickhead, go suck your dick."

Sophia mumbled.

Just after a few seconds, Sophia’s phone began ringing. She pushed her stare away from Henry, then dipped her hands into her pocket and brought out the phone.

"It’s Dad," Sophia muttered in surprise, then picked up the call.

"Hello, Papa," she said.

"Where are you, Sophia?" he asked.

Sophia was scared and ashamed to tell her father the exact location at which she was, and then she decided to come up with a lie.

"I’m at Uncle Ben’s house," Sophia replied.

"You spent the night in his mansion?" her father asked.

"Yes, Papa, I was busy and couldn’t get home early, so I branched to his place."

"Well, I want you to get home immediately. There’s something urgent I want us to discuss."

Sophia’s father instructed.

"Okay, Papa, I’m coming right away," Sophia replied before ending the call.

"Can you let me go now?" Sophia demanded, asking Henry politely.

Henry smiled with a bow as he responded, "Of course, my lady."

And so, Sophia walked out of the hotel room and went home.

Just after Sophia was gone, Henry’s phone rang. He went over to his phone on the table, then, just by seeing who was calling, he scoffed.

"It’s Rowan. What does he have for me this time?"

Henry picked up the call and answered.

"Hello, Rowan, what’s the early call this morning?"

Henry inquired.

"Sir, I was just calling to inquire from you about the location and time of where this year’s auction would be held."

Rowan asked.

Rowan is a right-hand man to Henry, his subordinate.

As it turns out, Henry held another identity—GOLDMASTER—a legendary investor, the kingmaker of the business world who had brought countless dying companies back to life. His reputation was unmatched, yet he kept a low profile; very few had ever seen his face.

Every year, he quietly collaborated with the government to host the prestigious “Lunch with GOLDMASTER” charity auction. All proceeds went to charitable causes, but the real draw was the chance to sit across from the man himself. Despite the sky-high bidding price, the event was always flooded with eager participants.

"This year’s auction will be held in the grand hall of the Red Raven Hotel," Henry replied.

"Sir, and also, Abigail, your ex-fiancée, is getting engaged tomorrow. Please, sir, let me have the pleasure to make sure she and her family pays for what they've done to you."

Rowan surgested.

"No! I hadn’t come to Atlanta to fulfill the engagement anyway. My only purpose was to deliver a life-saving medicine to Abigail, as instructed by Mr. Jordan."

Henry was not initially residing in Atlanta. The main reason why he had come to Atlanta was to deliver a life-saving medicine to Abigail, which had been given to him by his master, Mr. Jordan, an elderly man in his seventies whom he so much respected.

Some months back, Abigail, Henry’s ex, cheated on Henry with the man named Alaric, who was currently the one she was with. And when Henry discovered this, he let Abigail go without a quarrel, nor any argument.

Upon hearing about the engagement, Henry wasn’t angry—on the contrary, he felt relieved. He even planned to show up and offer his congratulations in person to Abigail.

At this time, Sophia was nervously moving her body in a fidgeting manner. Sophia felt uncomfortable; she was scared that her father would find out that she had sexual intimacy with Henry. She knew what Henry was saying, and she wasn’t liking where he was going. Sophia had no emotional string attached to Henry; in fact, the only reason that she had come looking for him was for him to help her grandfather, nothing else, and now that he had done it, he has no use for her anymore.“What is it that my daughter gave to you that would make you reject four million?” Sinclair asked gently, getting interested. He was dumbfounded and wanted to understand what was actually going on.Just then, Sophia grabbed Henry by the hands and then began yanking his hands out of the mansion’s main entrance door.“Father, the conversation is over. Maybe someday you guys could have some chat.” Sophia nervously declared, and her voice was already clear that she was hiding something.Henry and Sophia got out

  • Rejecting Four Million

“Ma'am, Grandfather's body just moved. He moved his hands and tried to open his eyes.” The servant informed, her stare widened in disbelief. Sophia was hearing this like it was a dream happening right in front of her eyes, or perhaps something that is not real, a dream she had always seen not to ever happen in reality. "Are you for real, like that's what is happening now?"Sophia retorted with disbelief, slightly standing from the chair she was seated on, trying to confirm again if what she was hearing wasn't a hallucination of her greatest desire coming to life."Yes, ma'am, you can come see for yourself," the servant agreed, her smile assuring and desperate.Sophia stood abruptly, then just as she was about to dash toward the room and see for herself, she paused, then shifted her gaze back to Henry. But to her surprise, Henry wasn't even surprised. He was calm and relaxed, sipping on the drink that was given to him, like someone who had never tasted a drink of that nature before.

Amanda, Sophia's mom, has a kind of harsh personality, but she is a sweet and lovely mom.And just then, as Amanda wants to raise her voice even more to clarify herself on who Henry was and who had given such a prescription, because she knows there’s no doctor in the room—Laura wasn’t a doctor, nor her husband, Sinclair, nor laura or any servants inside the room presently. And just then, before the voice could leave her gut for the second time, Sinclair cracked his voice with a chuckle and so he caught Amanda’s attention.“Oh, honey, sorry, I didn’t notice you. You know how things are so jumbled up in my head today, and besides, Grandfather’s condition was jamming my thinking as well, making me confused,” Amanda explained, then came close to Sinclair and hugged him, adding with a kiss on his lips. “Let the man do what he wants to do; he is a professional doctor,” Sinclair declared, then grinned. And Amanda raised a brow. “Really? He doesn’t look like one; that was why I asked.”Henr

  • Something Easy To Fix

"Father, this is unbelievable, can't believe you are actually falling for these silly tricks," Laura laughed sarcastically.Laura was so rude that even a single respect can't be seen from her, her blunt words made Sinclair shift his gaze to her as he tried to inquire what she meant. “What do you mean,” Sinclair inquired. “I have never seen a doctor who would dress like a madman to come check on a patient, and besides, even though he is some sort of a doctor, as Sophia had claimed, his level of professionalism wouldn’t do a dime in Grandfather’s condition.” Laura explained. Realization struck Sinclair, and that was when he took more interest to know more about Henry, his gaze shifting back to Henry as he waited for an answer that could convince him about what Laura had said. “I am a doctor who specializes in neurology and also surgical aspects. I am a professional, having a record of all patients who had been treated by me with a perfect outcome,” Henry replied with a grin.Sincla

Sophia then shifted her gaze to Henry, then gasped."I would have wanted us to go get a coat for you to look more decent like a doctor, so my father won't see you suspicious, he wouldn't allow you to do a thing on my grandfather if he finds out you are a student who hadn't acquired the certificate of a professional doctor, but we are running out of time,” Sophia sighed. "Let's go inside, make sure you follow my instructions for everything to work perfectly well. I'm trusting you on this because I have seen what you are capable of, your medical skill is one I have never seen, me entrusting my grandfather into your hands means I trust you, and besides you own me one," Sophia added.Henry shocked his head as he understood all that she had said.Sophia and Henry got into the Sinclair family mansion. • Fix In Surreal

Sophia was still dazed as to who Henry was, she finds herself hard to believe what he had said to her of him being a retired military man. The combat skill at which Henry displayed was so professional that if an army man were to be trained to master the skills, it would take forever which is nearly impossible. The speed, the accuracy, was just so impeccable that it made everything look surreal.Just then, Henry's voice cut in, snapping Sophia out of the thought she was sucked in."Do you have any idea who those men are?"Henry asked, looking at Sophia while strolling his hands over his chin."No, I don't," Sophia replied, shaking her head frantically."Why today? Why did they choose today to attack me?" Sophia mumbled. And that was when she realized that she wasn't with any guards as she went out. A thought ran through her mind, thinking that should be the reason whoever wants to attack her chose the exact moment when she wasn't with a bodyguard to make his move. "Why are you silen
