46 Reluctant to Let Me Go

Two weeks passed peacefully. Marcel and the other tenants managed to live their new lives on a schedule set by the center.

The neighbors accepted their presence without question, so they didn't bother each other if Marcel went out with his driver Aldi and two others every day.

"I'm surprised none of the Delvino family members have realized what we're doing yet," Marcel commented as the car driven by Aldi's driver drove towards Herman's office. "I think this is too suspicious."

Aldi's driver, Diko, was still focused on driving and did not immediately answer.

"It's good if it's like this, Sir." Diko said after a few moments of silence. "It makes the process of moving your lab to Mr Aldi's place easier."

Marcel was silent for a while as he thought.

"But it could also be an indirect trap," he commented introspectively. "I must remain cautious, including with strangers we meet."
