"The last Errand was a big hit. One whole dollar. That mister was way too generous." Riley, a poorly dressed student of First Republic City walked with a faint grin on his face.

The thought that he would finally be able to afford the dress for Ema that she had always wanted made his smile broaden.

The students that were around stared at him in a daze. Who didn't know Riley, the school's errand boy?

He had heard this reputation over the years, gaining his way into the university through a scholarship and running all sorts of errands all in the bid to survive.

Some people pitied him, some hated him because he should have never been in the university in the first place.

While he continued to walk, his phone made a beeping sound. He reached out to his pocket and noticed that it was another message and a transfer to run an errand.

"Today could never get any better." He smiled broadly.

However, picking at the person who had sent this message to him, he frowned deeply. It was a message from someone that was labeled Dennis.

How could Riley not know this person? Dennis, the school playboy who was known to dump ladies by the month, changing them like some piece of clothes wanted him to run an errand for him.

A pack of condoms with a bid of five dollars. That was more than the money that he made in two days running errands.

"And wonder which girl would have been stupid enough to have fallen for his tricks again." He thought aloud as he walked through the street.

Pushing off the thoughts from his head, he went out to get the condoms. It was business anyways and was going to earn him some huge tips.

He didn't mind the kind of errand that it was, as long as he was getting what he wanted for Ema then he didn't matter.

Unexpectedly, the venue for this meeting was quite stocked and filled with a whole lot of people.

They danced to the music that aired in the room. Most of them were half naked with boys in their hands.

Looking at Riley who was quite popular. Most of them were quite stunned to see him..

"What would someone like him be doing here?" One said aloud drunkenly.

"What could be going on here?" He thought.

Finally parting his way through the thick crowd, he was huffing and panting, trying to catch his breathing, and could also hear the voice of Dennis scrolling off through the room.

"Everyone, meet my new girlfriend." Dennis announced to the cheer that suddenly erupted from the crowd.

Some girls were at the corner, crying bitterly with running nostrils at the same time.

"I can't believe that I am so unlucky, after everything that I have done to make him notice me, he still chooses some other girl over me?" The gray topped girl tore.

"Well, it was enough knowing someone like me was in the same class with him." Another said with a deep smile.

Riley snorted in a confused manner. 'Isn't it ironic saying the word new girlfriend knowing that this person is certainly going to be dumped in a month?'

"I feel that you should even think yourself worthy that you weren't picked." He never realized that he had voiced his thoughts aloud.

Most people, especially the ladies that were around, shifted their gaze towards his direction after hearing these words.

"Isn't that Errand boy? Is he the one saying those words?" Another one of them mentioned.

"Someone that can never lick the shoes off from the feet of someone like Dennis I daring to mock him. That should be the real irony here."

"I wonder what he is trying to do here. Watch his ex accepting the proposal of another man. Is he really that shameless?"

More words came after Riley but the last words shook him a little bit.  'Ex?' The words resounded in his head once again.

The last time that he remembered, the only girlfriend was the only person that he currently had in his heart.

Seeing that the place was already getting heated up, he scrambled away from the place to the venue that had already been given to him.

Getting over, he saw Dennis with a thick frown cut across his face immediately their eyes crossed paths. Also tapped his hands impatiently on his thigh.

"I know that you are cursed broke but I never realized that you have always been this slow." An annoyed voice resounded. One that had caught his fancy because it sounded so familiar.

He looked around to see the lady who looked closer to the moon goddess with her heart-shaped face and her white dress.

The grip around his heart tightened almost in an instant.

"Ema?" He fell backwards in his heart trying to make sense of the events that laid before him. However, the frown around her face only deepened even more.

"Why are you looking so dumb?" She blurted.

"Are you shocked that I found someone better right after I dumped you? Well, there would be no need to lie to you anyways, I have always been saying Dennis." He added.

Processing the events in his head that were too much, he was lost in his daze. "Was Ema the new boyfriend of the playboy bitch standing before him?"

"What are you talking about Ema? We have only been dating for barely two months! When did you ever break up? I thought you said that you were going to stick with me through the thick storm and..."

"Enough." Ema half yelled, tortured by the words that she had spoken to herself.

"I heard you had some large savings for your school fees and I needed quick cash since you were pestering me too much, well.." there was no need for her to complete the rest of the statements.

Riley was still stunned, his hands biting his lower lips. He had always liked this girl, right from the point that they had met, pursuing her relentlessly for three years, however, he knew that she was sort of out of his league.

After two months, she accepted his proposal.

Riley was way over the moon, thinking that he had gotten what he had always wanted. However, he still had some insecurities in his heart.

Ema was just way too stunning after all with all sorts of men looking for her and he was just a nobody. Even though the truth was bitter, he just had to remind himself.

Soon enough, they would not be able to continue with all of this. However, to hear that she never loved him and only wanted his money.

It made the scale of his heart fall to the bottom of his feet. He looked at her with a bitter chuckle.

He felt pain in his heart but there was one more thing that he needed to clarify before forging out away from me..

"Why didn't you break up with me then. Tell me rather than cheat?" He inquired..

Instead of getting a response, a burst of laughter was what he got instead.

"What are you talking about? Did you see the text that I sent you about an hour ago? At least you had the privilege of breaking up with me.".

Riley brought out his phone. It was a new contact and he was sure that it was so since she had gotten a new cell phone.

A slight chuckle that was filled with bitterness soon escaped from his lips.

"So our relationship meant nothing to you that you had to break up with a text?" He said to himself.

"It's quite cool that you decided to tell me earlier." He muttered before finally walking away with his head lowered a little with the intention to avoid the hot gaze that was suddenly coming off from the crowd.

Words came after him with a loud boo from the crowd seeing how he walked away. Most of them throw all sorts of things in his direction.

"Loser."

"Don't ever get close to Ema again.  Not like you ever deserved her."

"Loser!" They kept yelling at him.

The anger that he felt at heart was even more than the embarrassment that was coming from these people.

...

Meanwhile, somewhere in the other part of the city, a car rode quickly, piercing through the gaze of everyone who watched.

"Oh my god! Did you see that car?" Multiple chatters welled up throughout the room.

Most university students couldn't afford such a car that was worth tens of millions of dollars coupled with the fact that it was an exclusive car.

Most of them had not even seen one in the first place.

The car rode faster until it got to the venue of the event. A guard walked out and opened the door for the person that was in it and most of the people that were around could not wait to see who was going to buy this car.

"Do you think that there is a student there?" One of them quickly inquired.

"A student? How could a student own such and we don't even know them? If it's a student. Then this person has to be new and a multi billionaire at that." Another student said,

Most of them already brought out their cell phones from their pockets to take a quick pic of the raging car..

Even though they could not get into it, it would be more than satisfying to capture such a beautiful sight on their cell phones.

With the videos online, it was already getting stares everywhere. Blowing up almost all the group chats that were available.

"Is that person single? I would want him to be my girlfriend."

"Don't be silly Maya, how can a student ever own such a car? Except of course the person is an adult." The stunning girl by her side soon replied.

Their eyes continued to light up with expectations as a man walked off. All the stories on his body were carved from silver and apart from that, his suit were designed.

Even though he looked like a man that has already spent his youth, he was still stunning, the suit revealing his bicep.

"Oh my god. He is so..."

"Zaddy.." Another girl who was around finished up the statement even before it was produced.

The wealthy man Ignored all their statements. His guards preceded him as he walked into the arena.

The music playing through the air stopped in an instant lost in their gaze. Even Dennis

was. But soon straightened his gaze while Lewisa beamed with a smile.

"I am so glad for dumping the pumpkin." Her smile broadened as she thought about it.

"Where is Riley?" Everyone was petrified with astonishment hearing the man's words and Dennis's smile froze in an instant.

You're supposed to know his character and how bad it is."Rossline sighed and glanced toward the classroom where Nearl had disappeared. "I was surprised too. When we first met, he seemed gentle and polite. I never expected him to become like this."Riley scoffed again, folding his arms. "He hid it well enough”Rossline remained silent for a moment before looking directly at him. Then, almost casually, she asked, "Do you think he is the owner of this school? The secret owner of this school?"Riley's expression changed slightly. He stared at her. "I doubt that. What makes you really think that?"Rossline simply smiled."Nothing."Riley frowned. "Nothing?""We'll talk later." Rossline paused before adding, "And thanks for the other day."Before Riley could ask what she meant, she turned around and walked away.Riley watched her leave, his brows slightly furrowed. Riley stepped forward until he stood directly before Principal Paul. His voice was calm, but it carried clearly across the silent sports hall."Principal Paul... I just saw you smuggle the paddle Nearl used during the final out of the arena."For a heartbeat—No one reacted. Then the entire hall erupted into stunned murmurs."What?""Smuggle the paddle?""What does he mean?""Did I hear that right?"Students looked at one another in complete confusion, while the teachers exchanged puzzled glances. Principal Paul's expression darkened."What the hell are you talking about?" he demanded sharply. "Smuggle Nearl's paddle? Explain yourself."Without saying another word, Riley slowly raised his hand and pointed toward the student volunteer who had almost reached the exit."The paddle is inside that black sack."The volunteer froze in place. His eyes widened in surprise as every person inside the arena turned to look at him."I... I..."He instinctively tightened his grip on the sack, unsure

"What do you mean by official?"Jerry slipped both hands into his pockets."Actually," he began with a relaxed smile, "there's an underground tournament held every night."He glanced around before continuing."It's not legal, of course. People usually go there to place bets... or simply watch for entertainment. That's where I'd like to cripple you."Fred's expression instantly became more se

Monday morning arrived.Riley stood at the front gate of the school, looking up at the familiar campus. The bruises on his face had faded considerably over the past few days. "Riley!"A familiar voice called excitedly from behind him.He turned around just as Mira hurried over, her school bag bouncing against her shoulder."There you are!" she exclaimed before stopping in front of him. She frowned almost immediately. "How did you leave the hospital without telling anyone? And where did you even go? I came to visit you yesterday, and the nurse said you'd already been discharged."Riley scratched the back of his head with an embarrassed smile. "Sorry. I was discharged earlier than expected. I just went to visit one of my relatives. He was dying to see me."Mira let out a long sigh and folded her arms."You should have called me. You didn't even come work, and you didn't answer any messages. I was worried.""Sorry," Riley said sincerely. Mira looked him up and down before her expressio
