"Huh!" Ema soon snapped out of her gaze.
"Why are they looking for Riley?" She muttered in her thoughts.
"Well, I don't think that everyone should be too surprised. He shouldn't be the only Riley in school right?"
Everyone turned around to this comment because there was one Riley Errand boy and no one could take that away from him.
"Riley? Are you looking for Riley? I am sure that you are making a terrible mistake." Dennis soon stepped forward with a smile stretching his hands forward to bring himself to the spotlight.
"Only the good lord knows how powerful this person is. Even if he is not as powerful as my family, getting him on our good book for the upcoming election will certainly get me some praise from Dad." He smiled inwardly.
"In between, I am Dennis from the Wiles family." He muttered.
"I am sure that you must have heard a lot about us. We are a very powerful group that runs a good percent of the city's economy." Dennis said proudly.
He was already brimming with a smile underneath the words professional looks that were hovering on his face.
He had used this same look for a lot of people and they had all fallen for it. He didn't expect this man that was standing right before him not to fall for it.
Expecting to see some twitch in the man's facial expression, Dennis watched him closely. But to his greatest surprise, the man didn't even bulge.
"Huh." He was confused.
Instead, the looks that were hovering on his face only grew more serious than it was before.
The old man Ignored his words, still in a state of confusion.
"Huh? He isn't here?" He thought.
Dennis was stunned that he was just Ignored. And even though he just used his family name, the man didn't show any reaction.
Was he that ignorant about how powerful the family was?
"Seeing how you are searching for him. I am sure that the Errand boy must have done.."
"Why don't you tell me what that Errand boy had done to upset you. I don't think that there is anywhere that he might have run off to that I would not be able to sneak him out for you." He assured me.
"Errand boy? Are you by any means referring to Riley?" The old man inquired.
He was visibly angry. But Dennis, who was so satisfied with making a mess of Riley's name, didn't even notice.
Ema wanted to stop him already seeing the looks on the face of the old man but there was nothing much that she could do as Dennis went on and on with what he was saying.
"Of course. Who else would be the most popular Errand Trash can...."
Before he could finish the statement, a slap could be heard throughout the room, sending ripples through the hearts of everyone present.
"What just happened?"
"Did someone just slap the famous heir of the Wales family?" He thought again.
"It's obvious that he is not here. We can't waste any more of our time on lowly things. Let's go." The man ordered ushering the other man out of the room.
The guards were almost as much as the number of people that were in the room so it would only be fruitless for the guards that Dennis had set up to set in at this point so they decided to stay cool instead.
Seeing that they had left, Ema snapped out of her daze and rushed forward toward Dennis with a flushed expression.
"Dennis, are you okay?" She inquired.
His face was red with the five fingers that had been implanted on them and his anger soared even through his clenched hands.
"That bitch." He gritted his teeth. His face was already as red as that of a tomato.
"Dennis, I am sure that Riley has done something terrible and that's the reason that the man was so furious." Ema could not think of another reason that they were searching for him anyway.
"I already thought about that." He muttered in between clenching it, pushing off the blood that had formed at the corner of his face.
"I'm going to make the Errand bitch pay for causing me such a huge humiliation." He gritted his teeth.
The others who watched him had a gulp already going through their throat. They knew how powerful the Dennis family was in the city. One of the top ten enterprises and Riley. He was a mere errand boy.
A quick death should be something that he should be praying for at the moment.
"Oh well. That's how we lost our famous Errand boy." A female student's voice echoed right through the crowd.
Everyone signed along. Even though they all knew Riley personally because he had run a few errands for them, they weren't sighing because they were going to lose him but sighing. After all, there would be no one else to go on errands for them.

Riley had strolled off to the beach and sat. It was the perfect place for him to think.
While he sat, he could hear a sound from behind causing him to turn around..
"Sorry if I frightened you." A slight chuckle came from a girl putting on casual clothes just like Riley.
She was Emma's friend or so Riley thought and had settled the issues when they quarreled quite a couple of times, Miya.
Riley nodded, noting that it was okay for her to sit right beside him.
"I heard about what had happened. You don't need to be sad. It's great that you found out about it soon enough." She added.
Riley was however a little bit taken aback by her words, she had left the place quite a while ago, and now, she already knew about it.
"The group chat. It was posted all over." She halted.
Riley nodded. "Okay. It's alright. I wasn't sad anyway. I was just surprised that I was dumped for a playboy." He added.
"I thought that Ema was always different and genuine."
At this, she sighed knowing that they had been dating for even longer than he had thought.
"Thanks again. But shouldn't you be with me?" Before he could even finish up with the statement, she paused.
"Guess you weren't the only one that was dumped. She found some rich friends and ever since I have been thrown aside." She sighed.
"Gotta go now." She sprang up, staring at him with a smile.
"And try not to go around too much. Maybe avoid your dorm as much as you can. I have an aunt's place where you can stay." She walked away getting him confused.
With the fact that he had not checked the group chat, there was every possibility that he didn't know what had happened later after he left the party.
Miya was afraid that the men that were looking for him were up to no good so she wanted to protect him.
"Maybe if he stays here much longer they will not be able to locate him while I go and file a report in case anything goes wrong." She said to herself as she walked away
She doubled her steps as soon as she could. Getting to the police to make a statement however when they heard that it was because of Riley, they had all discounted the issue.
"Who would waste so much resources on someone like him? Whoever is doing well is only going to be doing us a favor." The officer said to Miya with a long grin on her face.
Meanwhile, back at the beach, what Miya feared most has already happening at the moment.
While Riley was still lost in the realms of his confusion.
Even though Miya faintly smiled, he could sense that her tone was dead serious but could not tell exactly why.
"Does she think that I will not be able to stand the humiliation once I hear back?" Riley wasn't drowned enough to be interrupted by the boozing sounds of several cars that lined up right behind him.
He paused, turning around towards the spectacular sight of spot cars all lightening up the evening skies. However, he was unfazed, with only his eyes twitching.
Riley's feet were rooted on the spot as he watched closer. A guard came out from the car, opening up the car for the middle-aged man who stepped in.
The same man who was with Dennis at the party got out of the car and walked off toward Riley with a never serious expression still on his face.
Even though the reasons that they were there were sinister, he didn't have any money. They would more or less be wasting their time.
Riley's eyes almost popped out from his eye sockets. With emotions skyrocketing inside of him.
"Uncle Cain?" The words escaped from his half-closed mouth.
"Yes. That's me." The lips of the ever-serious man soon broke out into a heart warming smile. One that Riley had not seen in the longest of times.

Riley looked at Rossline for a moment before scoffing. "You are his girlfriend. You're supposed to know his character and how bad it is."Rossline sighed and glanced toward the classroom where Nearl had disappeared. "I was surprised too. When we first met, he seemed gentle and polite. I never expected him to become like this."Riley scoffed again, folding his arms. "He hid it well enough”Rossline remained silent for a moment before looking directly at him. Then, almost casually, she asked, "Do you think he is the owner of this school? The secret owner of this school?"Riley's expression changed slightly. He stared at her. "I doubt that. What makes you really think that?"Rossline simply smiled."Nothing."Riley frowned. "Nothing?""We'll talk later." Rossline paused before adding, "And thanks for the other day."Before Riley could ask what she meant, she turned around and walked away.Riley watched her leave, his brows slightly furrowed. "Why would Rossline think Nearl is the secret

He swung and missed completely. The crowd gasped.Nearl remained calm. The next rally was even more intense. Karl tried using different spins and angles, but Nearl seemed to read everything. He would make what looked like an ordinary return, yet the ball would suddenly change direction after bouncing, forcing Karl to move desperately across the table."

Riley stepped forward until he stood directly before Principal Paul. His voice was calm, but it carried clearly across the silent sports hall."Principal Paul... I just saw you smuggle the paddle Nearl used during the final out of the arena."For a heartbeat—No one reacted. Then the entire hall erupted into stunned murmurs."What?""Smuggle the paddle?""What does he mean?""Did I hear that right?"Students looked at one another in complete confusion, while the teachers exchanged puzzled glances. Principal Paul's expression darkened."What the hell are you talking about?" he demanded sharply. "Smuggle Nearl's paddle? Explain yourself."Without saying another word, Riley slowly raised his hand and pointed toward the student volunteer who had almost reached the exit."The paddle is inside that black sack."The volunteer froze in place. His eyes widened in surprise as every person inside the arena turned to look at him."I... I..."He instinctively tightened his grip on the sack, unsure

Claire brushed her hair back with a trembling hand as she heard Riley accept the challenge. Her heart sank. She couldn't believe he had actually said yes.Jerry stared at Riley for a few seconds before a grin slowly spread across his face."I like your courage," he said with a chuckle. "But sadly... it's going to make you a cripple."The smile on his face grew even wider."Since you're this desperate, let's make it an official spar."Those words immediately caught everyone's attention. Even the students who had gathered nearby leaned in with curiosity.Riley frowned slightly."Official?" he asked. "What do you mean by official?"Jerry slipped both hands into his pockets."Actually," he began with a relaxed smile, "there's an underground tournament held every night."He glanced around before continuing."It's not legal, of course. People usually go there to place bets... or simply watch for entertainment. That's where I'd like to cripple you."Fred's expression instantly became more se

"That was quicker than I expected."Before Riley could answer, Williams stepped forward with a mocking smile."Look," he said, pointing lazily at Riley, "I'll give you some advice. Just leave already. This has nothing to do with you."Riley's expression didn't change."It has everything to do with me," he replied calmly as he looked at Jerry's hand gripping Claire's wrist. "You're cornering my friend. Let her go right now."Jerry glanced at Claire before looking back at Riley.A cold laugh escaped his mouth."You really must need another beating.
Chapter 140
Monday morning arrived.Riley stood at the front gate of the school, looking up at the familiar campus. The bruises on his face had faded considerably over the past few days. "Riley!"A familiar voice called excitedly from behind him.He turned around just as Mira hurried over, her school bag bouncing against her shoulder."There you are!" she exclaimed before stopping in front of him. She frowned almost immediately. "How did you leave the hospital without telling anyone? And where did you even go? I came to visit you yesterday, and the nurse said you'd already been discharged."Riley scratched the back of his head with an embarrassed smile. "Sorry. I was discharged earlier than expected. I just went to visit one of my relatives. He was dying to see me."Mira let out a long sigh and folded her arms."You should have called me. You didn't even come work, and you didn't answer any messages. I was worried.""Sorry," Riley said sincerely. Mira looked him up and down before her expressio
