"Alright, it's my showtime!" Harold Locke eagerly expressed his desire to showcase his abilities in front of the beautiful ladies.

"Go for it, Harold, we're counting on you!" Lillian looked at Harold with admiration. When a woman was deeply in love, she tended to believe every word her lover said.

Queenie also had a better impression of Harold Locke. After all, compared to me, who she perceived as lecherous, lazy, and boastful, Harold Locke was an outstanding professional and a trustful vice president in the company.

"I don't know who it is, but just finding some food and getting so arrogant, thinking highly of themselves. Today, I'm going to find a lot of food and let certain people know what I'm made of!" Harold Locke deliberately said, glancing at me disdainfully.

He still held a grudge from the beating I gave him earlier and occasionally wanted to mock me.

"Harold is so amazing." Lillian looked at me with disdain, as if wanting to prove that abandoning me was the right choice.

Although I didn't say anything on the surface, I sneered inwardly. This woman was nothing more than blind!

I had seen through Harold's true colors long ago. He was just good at bragging. In society, it might be useful, but we were here on a deserted island.

More importantly, I had checked the beach earlier. To catch fish there without any skill was impossible. Seeing them all heading towards the beach, I paid no attention and instead walked into the dense jungle.

Originally, I considered the forest a dangerous area that I didn't want to enter easily. However, since a coward like Harold survived coming out of the woods, it indicated that the dangers inside were not as significant as I anticipated.

Moreover, I felt extremely thirsty now and wanted to find some edible fruits or water source.

Upon entering the forest, I discovered that the trees here were very dense, with many plants I had never seen before. Some peculiar insects were in strange shapes, which startled me.

It wasn't that I was afraid of insects, but who knew if these strange creatures had any toxins?

It was said that isolated islands had some plants and animals not found elsewhere.

However, I felt that the number of bizarre creatures here was a bit too much.

It made me extremely vigilant, taking each step cautiously.

I seemed to be lucky. After walking for a while, I didn't encounter any danger.

Soon, a bamboo forest appeared in front of me. Seeing this bamboo forest, I felt relieved and quickly dug up some sweet and crispy bamboo shoots to eat.

Afterward, I searched around and found a large stone. I smashed several pieces of bamboo with it, and the broken ends were sharp. I held them in my hand temporarily as makeshift weapons.

What surprised me even more was that when some bamboo broke, clear and sweet spring water flowed out.

This bamboo water, also known as bamboo juice, was highly valued in my hometown. Besides being drinkable, it had medicinal value and could enhance physical fitness.

Some people even specialized in purchasing bamboo juice as a beverage, and its price was not low.

I quickly drank a sip, and the taste was refreshing and pleasant.

After over an hour, I left the bamboo forest with five or six bamboo tubes hanging from my waist, all filled with bamboo juice. If I drank conservatively, it would be enough for a long time.

After leaving the bamboo forest, I headed towards a small hill I had come from.

While coming here, I noticed that there were some burrows at the bottom of the small hill, with faint footprints and fur around them, resembling those of rabbits.

I didn't pay attention to them earlier, mainly because I didn't have any weapons. Catching rabbits with bare hands was difficult since they were fast.

But now, with these bamboo spears, everything was different.

I arrived near the rabbit hole, climbed a large tree, and quietly squatted to wait. Fortunately, I didn't have to wait long before a gray rabbit emerged from the hole.

This rabbit seemed to have some differences in appearance from the ones we usually saw, mainly in its larger size. At that moment, I didn't have time to think too much. Holding my breath, I threw a bamboo spear.

Due to the elevated position and my preparedness, the spear instantly pierced the rabbit's leg. Despite being injured, the rabbit quickly dashed towards the depths of the forest.

I wasn't going to let it escape. I chased after it, and in no time, I caught up with the little creature.

However, when I stopped, I was surprised to find a clear stream in front of me. It made me very happy; even after the bamboo juice was consumed, we wouldn't be short of a water source.

To prevent getting lost in the future, I deliberately made some markings in specific places before slowly heading back to the beach.

When I was close to the beach, I intentionally wrapped the rabbit in clothes and walked back slowly.

Upon returning, I immediately noticed that they were already sitting near the campsite. After walking over, I scanned the surroundings and found it empty. I chuckled and deliberately asked, "How was it? Did you catch any fish?"

Upon hearing my words, they stiffened, unable to speak.

"We did have some gains. Look!" Queenie blushed and opened a small cloth package in her hands, revealing a thumb-sized fish. It was troublesome to roast such a small thing!

Queenie managed to catch a small fish, but the other two came back empty-handed.

Originally, Queenie wanted to use the method I used yesterday, but Harold insisted that it was unnecessary. He boldly went into the water, claiming it was much better than dealing with that troublesome stuff. Now, they were all empty-handed.

"Harold Locke, if you're so capable, how did you come back empty-handed?" I coldly said.

"Young punk, what are you? Coming to question me? When I was in the water just now, my leg accidentally cramped up. It's not recovered yet. Otherwise, I could have easily caught a dozen big fish. You came back empty-handed, and you're questioning me?" Harold Locke said with a sinister tone, his attitude unfriendly.

Sitting by the campfire, his leg stretched out long. Lillian was diligently massaging his leg on the side.

His leg cramped up while in the water? That was quite a coincidence. It cramped up at just the right time.

"I came back empty-handed?" I chuckled and directly untied the package on my back, revealing the big rabbit. Queenie's eyes widened at the sight of such a large rabbit.

Queenie showed a hint of admiration. Catching fish yesterday and a rabbit today. Indeed, it was quite impressive.

Harold Locke, on the other hand, seemed a bit unreliable. However, Queenie chose to believe in him for the time being. After all, this guy had always performed well in the company. Queenie thought that something unexpected must have happened today.
