Author’s Note

And with that… the Ares Voss Arc officially comes to an end.

Honestly, this arc means a lot to me. Ares began this mission carrying something far heavier than his hammer—guilt. He had spent years blaming himself for the destruction of Oakhaven, for the death of Elana, and for the unborn child he never got the chance to hold. Even after becoming a Warlord, a part of him still believed he had failed the people he loved most.

That is why his battle against Marshal was never just a physical fight. It was a fight against his own despair. When he collapsed, he was given the one thing he had desired for years—a peaceful life with his wife and daughter. Many people would have chosen to stay in that dream forever. But Ares chose to wake up. He chose duty over comfort, pain over illusion, and courage over escape.

To me, that is the true meaning of strength.

Strength is not being unable to cry.

Strength is not never feeling fear.

Strength is standing back up even when your heart is broken.

Strength is protecting others despite knowing you might not survive.

Ares did not win because he was the biggest or the strongest. He won because he finally accepted who he was: a protector. He stopped fighting to erase his past and started fighting to ensure no one else suffered the same tragedy.

If you are reading this while going through a difficult season in life, I hope Ares’ story reminds you of something important: your worst day does not have to be the end of your story. The scars you carry can become the reason someone else survives. Sometimes the bravest thing a person can do is simply refuse to give up.

Thank you for walking through this emotional journey with me. Every comment, vote, gift, and unlocked chapter truly encourages me to keep writing. Seeing readers connect with these characters is one of the best feelings an author can have.

But the war is far from over.

Next, we enter the Drax Arc. And trust me—Drax is carrying wounds of his own. His mission will take us into a darker world filled with human trafficking, hidden organizations, and enemies who cannot be defeated by brute force alone. The man who always laughs and acts fearless is about to face a battle that will test his heart in ways he never expected.

Get ready.

The Iron Warlord has finished his battle.

Now it is time for the next Warlord to step into the fire.

The captain couldn’t hide the excitement in his voice as he stared at Drax. “The moment I heard that a Warlord had boarded my ship, I sent a message directly to the Black Covenant. I knew a hundred Grimm Reapers wouldn’t be enough to guarantee your death, so I requested something far more dangerous.”Drax’s eyes narrowed as he listened.“The Black Covenant answered my request,” the captain continued. “They sent one of their executives. An anomaly that has never been defeated in combat. Until tonight, the world didn’t even know he existed. He is one of the most dangerous weapons under the organization’s command, and he has been kept hidden for a very good reason.”The massive man standing behind him remained completely silent.“His name is Ragnar Eon,” the captain said with a grin. “But the people who know what he’s capable of call him the Living Timebomb.”Drax looked the giant up and down.“The Living Timebomb?”“That’s right.”“So he carried bomb around or what?”The captain’s smile

  • Drax’s Redemption 48

Drax began walking toward the captain. For the first time since he had entered the room, the confidence on the man’s face disappeared. He slowly backed away, his eyes darting toward the bodies of the Grimm Reapers scattered across the floor.“You’ve lost,” Drax said. The captain’s expression hardened. “Stay back!”He suddenly pulled a pistol from beneath his coat and aimed it directly at Drax. Drax didn’t even slow down. The captain squeezed the trigger, but before he could fire again, Drax was already in front of him. He seized the man’s wrist and twisted it violently to the side, knocking the gun from his hand. Before the captain could react, Drax struck him across the face and sent him stumbling backward.Drax stared at him coldly. “It’s over. You lost.”“You bastard!” Emily screamed. She rushed toward Drax and threw a punch at his face, but Drax caught her wrist effortlessly. Emily froze as he looked at her for a moment before releasing her.“You’re lucky I don’t hit women.”He sh

  • Drax’s Redemption 47

Drax didn’t give the Grimm Reapers another second to recover. He charged straight into them, his fists moving with frightening speed as he struck one man after another. Every blow carried far more force than before, and the impact sent bodies crashing into walls, tables, and the floor. Yet the Grimm Reapers kept coming, ignoring injuries that would have stopped ordinary fighters. The more Drax fought, the more he understood the difference between them and normal soldiers. These men weren’t simply strong; they had been trained to disregard their own physical limits. A broken arm didn’t slow them down. A cracked rib didn’t make them retreat. Even when Drax knocked them to the floor, they dragged themselves back into the fight.“Stay down!” Drax roared as he drove another punch into a Grimm Reaper’s jaw.The man staggered backward, shook his head, and charged again.Drax’s expression darkened.“Fine.”He increased his speed. For several minutes, the room became a battlefield. Drax moved

  • Drax’s Redemption 46

The captain studied Drax for a moment before his eyes shifted toward Charlotte, who was still lying on the floor with her hands tied and tape covering her mouth. “Tell me something,” he said. “Why is that girl so important to you?” Drax didn’t even look at him. “That isn’t your business.” The captain raised an eyebrow. “You came all the way to my ship, killed my men, and risked your life for her. There has to be a reason.” “All you need to know is that I was sent to rescue her,” Drax replied coldly. “And nothing you do is going to stop me.” The captain stared at him for a few seconds before laughing. “Fine. We’ll see about that.” He slowly turned toward the men surrounding Drax. “You think these are ordinary guards?” Drax glanced around the room. The captain smiled. “They aren’t. They are the Grimm Reapers.” A murmur passed through the room, but the men themselves remained completely expressionless. “They were trained from childhood for one purpose,” the captain continued.

  • Drax’s Redemption 45

The man in his forties who was the captain took another slow drag from his cigarette before leaning back in his chair. His eyes remained fixed on Drax, and there was a faint smile on his face, as though everything happening in the room had already been decided.“So the rumors were true,” he said calmly. “A Warlord really did board my ship.”His smile widened.“What a pleasant surprise.”Drax didn’t answer. His eyes moved across the room, counting the armed men surrounding him. There had to be at least a hundred, and unlike the guards he had fought below deck, these men were clearly prepared for battle. They weren’t standing around casually. Every one of them had been positioned strategically, blocking every possible exit.Drax’s expression remained calm, but his mind was already working. How did they know he was here? More importantly, how had they known exactly where he would go?This wasn’t a random ambush. They had been waiting for him.Drax’s gaze shifted toward Emily.“What is al

  • Drax’s Redemption 44

The girls froze when they saw Drax standing in the doorway. Their eyes widened with fear as several of them instinctively moved backward, pressing themselves against the walls.“Please, don’t hurt us!”“Please let us go!”“We haven’t done anything!”Their frightened voices overlapped, and Drax immediately understood what had happened. To them, he was just another man from the ship, another guard who had come to drag someone away.“Relax,” Drax said, raising both hands. “I’m not one of them. I’m from a special team, and I came here to rescue you.”The girls stared at him suspiciously, and a few exchanged uncertain glances.“You came to rescue us?” one girl asked.“Yes.”“You’re not working for the captain?”“No.”The tension in the room eased slightly, though nobody completely trusted him yet. Drax glanced around the crowded room, his eyes moving quickly from one face to another. He had come for one person.Charlotte.But she was nowhere among them.“Where’s Charlotte?” Drax asked. The

Take pressure off yourself. End this story and then do another story which explores characters introduced in this story but don’t exploit the reader who is primarily concerned about Jaden Rift.

no update for a few days already.

I think it’s a great story that should be part of another book. This book is about Jaden Rift. We want to know how HIs story ends. I’m not going to continue a book which gives backstories about each warlord.
