39| History of Summoners

Eryk stared at the statue of the winged goddess for a long time. He seemed to hear the figure calling and calling his name. Eryk had already turned around and tried to approach the statue when White suddenly intercepted and bumped his head.

"What's wrong with you?" asked White flatly.

Eryk gasped in surprise. For a moment, he didn't realize he was daydreaming. He rubbed his face and shook his head vigorously.

"I'm okay," he said. "I'm just a little out of focus."

"You fantasize too much, Young Man!" said Duri. "You have to start controlling your wild imagination."

Eryk felt very embarrassed. He lowered his head and clenched his jaw. Eryk kept walking, following Alyssa without saying much.

They arrived at a room whose door was gilded with gold. Alyssa linked her hands behind her back and stood quietly in front of the door. Duri stood beside Alyssa with a big smile.

Two green human-summoned spirits opened the door for them.
