Sarah sat on the edge of her bed, staring blankly at the wall. Her face that used to wear the most exciting look had turned to an always pale looking face, and her eyes were red from sleepless nights. The next morning, Sarah and her father returned back to Naxora Dynamics. Yesterday wasn't fruitful, probably because they weren't prepared for the traumatic drama that would unfold. Do you know who you’re dealing with? Don’t you dare touch me!” One of the guards frowned. “Ma’am, we’ve already informed you. You’re not allowed into the building without clearance from Mr. Blackwood.” Sarah’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Later that evening, David wandered through the silence of his mansion. The house felt empty, almost lifeless. He stopped in front of a door and pushed it open. Inside was the room he had reserved specifically for his daughter. The room was filled with toys, books and little decorations he believed they'd love.He had designed it against the future, when he would have revealed his true identity and moved over to his home with his family. Sadly, his in-laws fucked up in the way he least expected. David stepped inside, running his fingers over a small desk by the window. He picked up a drawing she had made—a picture of their family, back when things were happy. Picking it up, he saw Andrew's name on the screen. “Andrew,” David said, answering the call. “Good evening, sir,” Andrew's voice came through, and there was a hint of urgency in his voice. “I wanted to confirm that the partnership with the Daniels family has been officially terminated as per your instructions.” David leaned back in his chair, a bitter smile playing on his lips. “Good.
