CHAPTER EIGHTY-SIX Throughout the day, Jacob couldn’t stop thinking about the events of the day. Even when they drove from the vicinity of the store back to the Castle, he couldn't stop staring at Kelvin who didn’t even seem like he had spent so much money on a store. When it was finally time for the party, Jacob put on the suit he picked from the store, and a pair of brown shoes also picked from the store. “These look nice on you, Jacob,” Kelvin said while Jacob had to walk to the mirror to look at his reflection. “Wow! I can’t believe that this is me.” Jacob gasped the moment he saw his reflection in the mirror. He had never dressed in such expensive attire, and he couldn't stop staring. “Come on, Jacob. We are going to be late for the party.” Kelvin said calmly after adjusting his blue-striped tie with both hands. CHAPTER EIGHTY-FIVE The air in the room thickened with a lot of tension, and while Roseline was still trying to get a grip on herself, Jacob nudged Kelvin in an attempt to get his attention, but he refused to look at him while he kept his eyes on Thiago who was still fuming with so much anger inside him. “I really think we should leave this place, Kelvin. This is getting out of hand.” Jacob whispered to Kelvin with a nervous tone, but he stood his ground. “Didn’t you hear me? I asked you to call your Manager! Do it now!”“Please, Mr. Logan! You don’t need to do this, we can settle it amicably.” Roseline pleaded, but her plea landed on deaf ears. She looked at Kelvin almost immediately, giving him gestures to leave, but he refused to listen to her. “If you do not call your Manager right now, I am going to write a bad review about this place, and I will make sure you lose your job! CHAPTER EIGHTY-FOUR Kelvin took in a deep breath which he met out slowly in an attempt to get a grip on himself. The demeanor of the saleslady pissed him off greatly, and he tried as much as he could to stop himself from reacting. He looked at Jacob, but he seemed to be unbothered about all of that while he occupied his eyes with admiring the suits in front of them. “These are really nice, Kelvin! I have never worn a suit before, this is going to be my first time. I am super excited!”“Yeah, I guess.” Kelvin managed to smile at Jacob while he struggled with his anger. He looked toward the direction the saleslady had gone and saw that she was speaking to some other people with an excited smile on her face. CHAPTER EIGHTY-THREE Jacob couldn’t believe his ears when he heard the words from Kelvin. He stared at him for a while, trying to be certain that the words he heard from him were true. “You are going to get me clothes?”“Yes, Jacob! Come on!” Kelvin stood up from his seat while he gestured to Jacob to do the same without discarding his smile. “You can keep your backpack right there, you will pick it up as soon as we are back.” Jacob took a glance at his backpack, and then he stood up from his seat before he followed Kelvin out of the building. The guards standing in front of the building bowed to Kelvin as soon as they saw them coming out, and that fascinated Jacob who wondered the kind of power he had. “Lord Kelvin? You are going out?”“Yes, Andy! I was about to send for you.” Kelvin said to the Chauffeur after he appeared from a corner of the premises, holding onto his cap with both hands. “Where to, Lord Kelvin? He totally forgot that he was famished while staring at the beauty standing close to the table, clad in a beautiful long black gown that clung to her body. “Miss West? You are here.” “Yes, Lord Kelvin. You have an important meeting at the company, all the employees in the company have been informed, and they will be at the conference hall soon.” Rebecca said calmly before she slowly lifted her face from the tablet she was holding onto with both hands. She looked at Kelvin with a smile on her face, but he maintained his deadpan expression. “Is there anyone who wouldn’t be able to make it to the meeting, Miss West? I need you to confirm that everyone will be there at the meeting because I wouldn’t want anyone to miss what I have to say. CHAPTER EIGHTY-ONE As soon as Jacob set his eyes on the castle after they had passed through the gates, he gasped and turned to look at Kelvin with a shocking expression on his face. “You live here?” “Mm-hmm.” Kelvin nodded in response, maintaining the smile on his face while he looked at Jacob who couldn’t believe his eyes. “No way! This is a castle, Kelvin, a very big castle! I have never seen a castle before, I can’t believe that a place like this still exists! Look at the gardens everywhere, the water fountain! The statues! Everything is beautiful!” Jacob gasped again while his eyes looked through the windows of the car which drove to the front of the castle where it parked.
