Chapter 11

Alison repeatedly walked into her room. She chose her own hands, which she had just heard from her grandfather's mouth.

Now that her grandfather was in the bathroom, a maid helped Benedict to clean himself of the blood.

When the bathroom door opened, Alison looked straight at her grandfather, her eyes filled with sadness. Benedict shifted his gaze elsewhere. He sat on the couch and shooed away the maid who had helped him earlier.

"Grandfather knows you must be disappointed with grandfather," Benedict spoke first. Alison was taken aback by Benedict's words. She couldn't sit up, her whole body was very unsettled.

Getting married was complex, and her grandfather should have understood that. Since childhood, Alison has always heard Benedict's words about marriage that can only be done once in a lifetime.
