Chapter 1

Farewell!

(Westland Prison)

“Farewell!"

Voices echoed as several inmates lined up bidding farewell to a young man dressed rather casually.

His lean build made his striking features come out more as he walked slowly towards doors where the guards stood with their head lowered, respect written in their eyes.

“Farewell son!"

An old voice sounded, as a man slowly walked towards the young man. His eyes were tender as he looked at the young man.

"Damien, you'll be finally leaving here today," The old man continued, chuckling lightly, patting the young man's shoulder.

"It's been five years, Godfather," Damien answered, his voice cracking.

Honestly, he didn't want to leave, but his sentence was up and he had a lot of things to do in the outside world.

"I understand son," The old man chuckled, nodding gently, patting Damien's shoulder heavily.

"You've got things to do,"

"This old man won't stop you from leaving."

"Thank you Godfather," Damien muttered, his eyes flickering with hatred as a glint flashed in his eyes.

Five years ago, he had been nothing, but an ordinary college graduate.

He had his hopes high. He believed he would get work and make his parents, who were immigrant workers retire.

But before he could even think about it, his father had a deadly accident at the construction site.

The accident took his spinal cord.

And the cause of the accident?

Well, it was because the family owning the construction company wanted to cut cost and thus used many subpar materials.

Damien clenched his fist, his aura rising as he thought about this.

The inmates shivered, sweating dripping down their forehead as they watched.

They were all gathered here, not because they were unhappy with his departure, but rather because they wanted him to leave.

"Damien, a man doesn't lose himself in hatred," The old man spoke, his voice pulling Damien out of his thoughts.

"I'm sorry Godfather, I lost control again," Damien apologized, a hint of guilt could be felt in his voice.

"It's fine," The old man smiled gently, shaking his head,

"You need to resolve it before it turns into your inner demon,"

"Yes Godfather," Damien clenched his first, determination flashed in his eyes.

"I shall take my leave now," He said, preparing to step out of the prison.

"Before you leave, here is my last gift to you," The old man suddenly spoke, stopping Damien in his tracks.

"Here," He added, removing the Tiger shaped ring on his fingers placing it on Damien's hands.

"I'm handing over the control of the Tiger's Group to you." The old man laughed, turning around,

"But..."

"I've already named you as my successor, and over the past five years I've taught you all I know," The old man interrupted Damien, his voice firm.

"You're bound to surpass me, your Cultivation is catching up to me."

Damien froze, his body shook heavily, his eyes reddened.

Five years ago, he walked into the prison ground as a weak nodody. But luckily, he met this old man.

The old man had then proceeded to teach him martial arts, medicine and cultivation.

"If it were not for your inner demon, I'm sure you would have surpassed me." He carried on, his voice getting a bit softer, pulling Damien back to sense.

"So accept it!"

"With that Ring, no one Tiger Group will dare disobey your command."

"Thank you Godfather..." Damien instantly fell to his knees, Kowtowing to the figure walking away Slowly.

"And before I forget," The old man suddenly stopped on his tracks turning around slowly.

"You've got no one to pick you up, so I've informed my granddaughter to come pick you up."

"Also, along the way, protect her in my stead. You're the only one I trust." The old man concluded and turned around, walking away.

"I won't disappoint you," Damien muttered, determination flashed in his eyes as he stood up walking slowly out of the prison gates.

Stepping outside, Damien took a deep breath. Once again, the dangerous glint in his eyes returned.

Five years ago, after his father's accident in the construction company which left him immobile, he decided to seek compensation from the company.

But he was refused.

As a hot headed youth who had just finished college, he thought he could fight them and thus began to rally up those that had been mistreated by the company.

While at it, the hospital suddenly discontinued with his father's treatment and sent them out.

Days later his father died. The blow was too much for his mother and she followed soon after.

After a while, Damien found out it was the family behind the company that had issued the order to the hospital to kick his father out.

Enraged, he began to seek revenge again, gathering evidence to wipe them out.

Unfortunately he was discovered and as a retaliation by the other party, his sister paid for it.

Raped till death, her body was dumped in the river..

This further enraged Damien and he continued to gather evidence. He couldn't let his dead parents and sister die for nothing.

After a while, he had enough evidence to overthrow the entire family and charged them to court.

But who would have thought on the day of the trail, he would be betrayed by his own lawyer.

Not only did she deny the evidence was fabricated, she also helped the other party and said he was defaming.

In the end, he was sentenced to five years imprisonment.

"Judd, Matt, Emily, and the Raven family, I'm coming for you," Damien muttered, clenching his fist as he thought about it, veins bulging out of his neck.

"Mum dad, Amelia, I'll have revenge for you soon, please take care," Damien breathed in, his voice softening, his eyes reddened again.

"Now where should I go?" Damien pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind preparing to leave.

But before he could move, the loud reviving of a car stopped him as a car pulled up right before him.
