"Seize the traffic!" Betty Sargent commanded through the call, the entire city was seized with no single vehicle on the road being an obstacle for them.
The second daughter Liliana made a call to the international hospital, "I want the top most skilled doctors to be arranged in your hospital within a few minutes, if not be ready to face my wrath!" Her warning made the party on the other side to shiver in fear and make the arrangements just as Liliana wanted. Within no time they reached Skylands elite hospital. Looking at the emblem of the Sargent family on the sleek black cars, the special entrance was opened, through the special entrance without any hindrance of buzzing patients and hospital, all of them got inside along with Christian Top most doctors are standing with their trembling bodies, as the Sargent family's power is well known and their mere presence is enough to make people terrified. Lord Sargent entered inside first, his commanding presence silencing the whispers among the staff. As the stretcher was pushed forward, they noticed Christian, his bruised and malnourished body is a stark contrast to the grandeur surrounding him. Behind Lord Sargent, his both daughters followed, they had a mixed expression of anger and pain as they glanced at their nephew. "My nephew needs the immediate treatment," Betty demanded, just as the words left from her mouth, the senior most doctors rushed towards Christian almost immediately. Bowing respectfully, one of them stammered, "this way my lady!" Christian was carefully wheeled into a private ward. The team of doctors and specialists didn't wait for any further instructions, they jumped straight into action, examining his condition thoroughly. Lord Sargent stood outside the room, masking his face with calmness, though his hands trembled slightly as he gripped his cane. His daughters stood around him, their expressions a mixture of anger, grief, and helplessness. After a tiresome examination, the lead doctor approached Lord Sargent and his daughters with a clipboard in his hand. He glanced nervously at Lord Sargent before speaking. "My Lord, young master's condition is critical but stable. However, his injuries..." The doctor hesitated, clearly uneasy about delivering the news after knowing that Christian is the grandson of Lord Sargent. "Speak freely," Lord Sargent commanded, with a cold voice, "I want to know everything about my grandson's situation." The doctor swallowed hard. "His injuries are quite serious but not all those are from recent events. He has sustained long-term physical trauma, indicating prolonged abuse. Additionally, he is severely malnourished, which has further weakened his body, this level of neglect and abuse is unimaginable, I don't know how that young boy tolerated all this!" A heavy silence filled over the room as the doctor ended his words. Liliana's hand flew to her mouth, tears spilling over as she turned away. Betty clenched her fists so tightly that even a rock would turn into powder with that grip. "Those bastards..." Betty growled under her breath. "Monsters," Lilliana whispered, her voice trembling. "How could they do this to him?" The doctor was almost on the verge of passing out in nervousness but made sure to inform the most important news. "My Lord," he began, "we've discovered that the young master has an extremely rare blood type, one that is unique to your family lineage." Clenching his fist, Lord Sargent turned to his butler with a calm voice, yet carrying the weight of an invisible command. "Take a strand of his hair, we will conduct a DNA test to confirm his lineage, and I want the result to be out as soon as possible within a few minutes." The butler nodded immediately, producing a small envelope to gently gather a few strands of Christian's hair. "I don't need a test to confirm that, this boy is my grandson," Lord Sargent muttered under his breath, fixing his gaze at Christian's pale, and bruised face. "His face, his rare blood group, everything screams that he is my Marie's son and my precious grandson, a gift from my daughter, but for those who might dare question it, a test might shut their mouths without further arguments." Taking the envelope, the butler left from there immediately, the doctor also went right behind him. Lord Sargent and his daughters are extremely angry at that moment, just then they heard a small cry. "No... don't," Christian mumbled in his sleep, with a weak voice, filled with extreme fear. "I didn't do anything... I'm innocent... please don't hurt me, no.... I'm innocent." Lord Sargent's heart clenched as heard the desperation in Christian's voice, "My boy," he whispered softly, leaning closer to the bed "It's okay, you're safe now, under my watch, none can hurt you." But Christian's cries only grew louder as the nightmare tightened its grip on him. Tears slid down his bruised cheeks, his voice breaking as he continued to sob, "Mom, don't leave me. Please... I have no one but you, don't leave me alone, I can't live without you, no one loves me apart from you." Lord Sargent felt as if his heart had shattered into a million pieces hearing to Christian's crying voice. He reached out, gently brushing Christian's soft hair back from his forehead. "It's okay, my dear, you're not alone anymore," he promised with an extremely gentle voice, "I'm here. Grandpa is here, I won't leave you alone, I'll always be with you." The sight of Christian's agony brought back a flood of memories. Lord Sargent could almost see Marie as a young girl, and her bright smile lighting up his world. He remembered her laughter, and her soft voice calling him "Dad." Now, her son was lying here, broken and alone, carrying the scars of unspeakable pain, desperate for someone's love, as if he is scared of getting abandoned, for some reason, he felt deeply attached and connected to Christian, though it's their first time meeting each other. While Lord Sargent is so busy in consoling his grandson, the butler burst into the room, clutching an envelope with DNA result in his hand. His face was flushed with excitement and eyes were almost teary as he approached Lord Sargent. "My Lord," he called out with a voice sounding almost like a cry out of happiness, "The results came positive, this young boy is indeed your biological grandson! He... he is our young lady Marie's son!" Lord Sargent was silent for a minute, and his eyes went wide as he took the envelope from the butler's trembling hands. Slowly, he opened it, his own hands shaking as he proceeded to read it, the words on the paper confirmed what his heart already knew, and the emotional bond he felt in between him and Christian isn't a false hope, but a bond out of blood. A sob escaped from his lips as a couple of tears rolled down his cheeks. "Oh, my heavens!" he whispered, clutching the test results tightly. "I've found him, after all these years, I've found someone connected to my precious daughter, and this little one, is my precious grandson." He turned back to Christian, his expression immediately softened as he gently ruffled Christian's hair, "You're my precious grandson," he said, with a voice both emotional and enlightened. "Grandpa is here now, you'll never be alone again." Shifting his concentration from Christian to the butler, he commanded with happiness, "Announce to the world that, we found the heir of the Sargent family!"

SHE WHAT?
"Dre... Dream?" Luna stammered still being terrified of scenarios that played before her a few minutes back.Christian nodded his head while gently wiping off the sweat beads from her forehead with his handkerchief, "Yeah, you're mumbling of something like I didn't hurt her... I didn't hurt you, about whom you're talking about?" Luna looked pale being caught off guard, but trying her best to act normal, she lied, "Nothing..."Christian didn’t respond right away, he was watching her closely. Her face, though composed on the outside, trembled ever so slightly, her hands clenched the hem of her sleeve, and her voice had cracked as if her lie was too fragile to carry the weight of her fear."Nothing?" He repeated gently. "You're crying, Luna, you're trembling and looking all terrified, in a situation like this, how can you say it's nothing?""It's truly nothing Chris, when it's nothing, what else can I even say? Just listen to me, I don't have anything to say, a nightmare which I couldn

"I don't kn... know..." Luna stammered trying to hold back the anxiety and nervousness deep in her heart, "I don't know what you're talking about...." Rosaline chuckled, "really? I thought we both knew each other so well... Too deep... Too strong... By any chance, don't you remember me?" Luna’s breath caught, but she didn’t move, Rosaline’s smile was polite, almost too perfect, "Come on, it's only two of us, why are you still trying to hide?" "You’re wrong!" Luna snapped, her voice trembling with panic. "I’m not whoever you think I am! Why are you annoying me? I did nothing... I know nothing.... Stop bothering me and leave me alone..." "Funny, isn’t it?" She continued. "How people wear new names, new faces… hoping the past won’t find them, but the past always clings, even if you lie, your memory doesn't lie, my memory doesn't lie, you remember each and everything from the past, don't you.... Luna? Or maybe I should call you with a different name? Maybe the real name of yours, shou

"What did you say?" Christian asked, furrowing his brows to concentrate on what Luna has said.Luna held the folder a bit too tightly being stiff in her seat. "I asked… are you really that close to Ms. Valemire?" She repeated, her tone colder than intended. "According to Oliver, she’s too protective of you, but as far as I know, you were close to no one but Mia back then, so, from where Ms. Valemire came all of a sudden to be that close to you?" Christian blinked. "Ms. Valemire?" He gave a short laugh. "Why are you addressing her like that? Do you know her family that well?" Luna’s face turned a little pale because of what Christian had said, she looked down, her silence lingering just a moment too long, "I… I just heard people mentioning her family name, that's it." "I see," Christian said slowly, observing her and her expression. "Rose... I mean, Ms. Rosaline and I aren’t that close… at the same time, it’s not like we’re strangers either, it’s kind of mixed to explain." He scrat

"Luna…"The sudden voice from behind startled her.She had been so deep in her thoughts that the sudden sound of her name sliced through the silence like a blade. Luna turned around narrowing her eyes slightly, only to find Oliver standing a few steps away, offering a gentle smile."Luna, right?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck but his eyes fixed on the folder on the table which was given by Christian earlier to her.She raised a brow being sarcastic. "If not Luna, what do you think it could be? Tuna?" Oliver blinked at her sarcasm, then let out a breath in confusion as he couldn't understand why she doesn't like him though they never had any fight to be rivals. "Why are you always wary of me?" "Is that a problem for you?" "I’m not here to argue," he said quickly, his tone turned out to be softer than usual. "I'm actually here to apologize… to Chris, I was emotional in the morning, I didn't mean for things to go that far, I always treated Chris as my younger brother, I trul

"Luna, is she really acting innocent in front of me?" Christian stood near a pillar staring at the lights flickering in the distance. The air was strangely cool, but his thoughts still burned with the weight of Rosaline’s words. He should have dismissed them, Luna was his best friend, his unwavering pillar, and support, there's no way he is ready to misunderstand her, however what he heard isn't leaving him to have straight thoughts at this moment.Lost in his thoughts, Christian stood alone leaning to the pillar.Just then Ezra showed up behind Christian with a smirk, "What’s bothering you, little prince? What's with that face of yours?" His voice was teasing, but there was something else, curiosity, maybe even concern, Ezra's presence only deepened his unease. "You? Where did you come from?" Christian asked him with a stunned face, Ezra grinned, "I told you I got a soul friend nearby, and I'm having conversation with my friend, looking at you alone being lost within yourself, s

"Huh?" Christian frowned, blinking at Rosaline’s bold whisper, "What the hell are you talking about?" She just chuckled and leaned casually closer to him, "No... I just thought maybe I’m the third wheel between you and your boyfriend, that face of him is too pitiful." "Stop it." Christian gave her a half-glare. "I told you already I’m not into men, moreover he and I are not in any kind of relationship as you're thinking." Rosaline grinned wickedly. "Are you sure? Because the betrayal look on his face saying a different story, he looked like a lost puppy looking for its owner." "Roseeee…" Christian groaned, dragging her name out with an exaggerated sigh. She gasped, placing her hand on her chest dramatically. "This is the first time you’ve called my name like that… So adorable." "Don’t make it the last time," Christian said under his breath, instantly regretting how soft his voice came out, though he wanted to be angry with her.But Rosaline caught it, and her eyes glinting with m
