Aidan stepped into the car where his father waited and banged the car door in a rage.

"My son…" Robert noticed his face and patted him on his back. Aidan turned to face his father and he had a look of pity on him. It was as if he had witnessed everything firsthand himself.

"I'm ready to be the son you want."

"How much power do you really possess?" He asked.

"More than the Claytons have. Why do you ask?"

"Because I need it to make some people pay and wish they had never taken my Rachel away from me." He breathed heavily.

The Roll Royce parked at the most luxurious hotel in the City. "We're here son" His father touched him as if to alert him.

The ride had been a silent one since they left the Hartford estate. "Oh…" Aidan jerked as if brought back to reality by the touch. His father noticed the encounter with the Hartfords was taking a toll on him and showing. "I will get to the bottom of this" He muttered to himself.

The door was opened by a man in a suit. As soon as he emerged from the car, several men dressed in the finest suits came and bowed to him.

He turned to his father to see him smiling. "What is this? Why are they bowing to me like I'm a king?"

"Because you're the new owner of the Ack Hotel, one of Ackerman's investments, and as the staff, they are duty-bound to serve you like a king," Robert replied to him wholeheartedly.

Aidan's eyes glistened at what his father said. Ack Hotel was one of the leading and most prestigious hotels in Emergande City and not just that, it appeared overnight overpowering even the Claytons in terms of wealth.

Aidan snickered. The Hartfords were no match to him now.

"Welcome Sir Aidan, we have been preparing for your arrival." Said a young lady who walked up to Aidan dressed in an elegant corporate white gown hugging every figure of her body. "We're glad to finally meet you, Sir" She bowed as she spoke the final words.

"This is Sadie Colt, she's the managing director of Ack Hotel. "Robert gleamed as he spoke about her. "She's got a smart head on this one." He said to his son. Aidan smiled nervously looking at her.

"Have you handled all my orders?" Robert asked in a commanding tone.

"Yes Sir, as you ordered. Please this way…" She stretched her hand and we walked behind her with men in suits finally raising their heads as we walked past them before they trailed behind.

"Is that necessary?" Aidan whispered to his father surprised as to how the men in suits were acting like zombies.

"They're just following orders and are here to serve you. Are they making you uncomfortable?"

"No shit Sherlock!" Aidan yelled. "They look like their life is on the line if they don't do as they are told" Aidan hissed and turned to the men.

"You're all dismissed except Sadie Colt." The men exchanged looks amongst themselves.

"Did we offend you, Sir?" One of them asked.

Aidan scoffed. "No, but I hate how you're wavering around me. Just go about your business."

"Yes Sir" They answered in unison and left.

"I'm sorry Sir if they disappointed you but we have to hold them with a firm hand otherwise our reputation would be on the line," Sadie spoke to alleviate Aidan who seemed pissed.

"Like bloody hell… Just take us to the room." She nodded and did so and left right after. The elevator opened right up to the penthouse. Adian let out a gasp; the Hartford estate which he had known for two years was nothing compared to this.

"This is heaven" He mumbled as he fell on the enormous bed that felt like a cloud. His father smiled with a fulfilled heart knowing his lost son was alive.

"Now about your daughter and your connection with the Hartfords…" His father hesitated, noticing his son's expression had turned sour. "I'm sorry I brought it up. If you don't want that…"

Aidan cuts in. "It's alright. I should tell you anyway." Aidan sat up properly and gave his father the ordeal of how he ended up as the live-in son-in-law of the Hartfords, how he was framed and thrown in jail for a crime he knew nothing of, and how his Rachel was taken from him.

His father was perplexed as Aidan spoke. The next minute, he stood up, took his phone, and made a call.

"Rest son, I'll handle everything." With that said, his father walked out. Aidan fell back on the soft king-sized bed and before long he slept off into the next day.

"The fuck!..." Aidan shouted as he jerked back into the bathroom seeing a strange lady standing in his bedroom as he was coming out of the bathroom naked.

"I'm sorry Sir if I startled you, but Mr. Robert said I could come in." She said politely bowing her head away from looking at him.

"And you couldn't fucking wait in the sitting room, you had to invade my privacy!? Don't you have manners?" Aidan shouted angrily at her.

"I'm sorry Sir. It was a mistake" She quickly bowed her head and retreated to the sitting room.

Aidan threw a robe on and stormed into the sitting room to meet his father coming in with a man trailing behind him.

"Who the hell is she?" Aidan yelled pointing at the stranger who was just in his room.

"She's Dr. Casey. I sent her to collect a sample from you for the DNA test. What's going on?" His father asked, clearly confused and surprised at Aidan.

"A doctor who doesn't know the meaning of privacy?..." Aidan snorted. "I don't want her fucking hands on me"

"She invaded my privacy and saw my…." He trailed his words. "It doesn't fucking matter, I don't want her near me!"

Robert understood what he met immediately he saw him in the robe with his hair wet. "I'm sorry about that son. It was unprofessional of her but she's the best and that's why I had her come here." Robert tried to pacify Aidan. "Apologize this instant" He commanded Casey.

His tone reverberated throughout the room jerking her to bow to Aidan apologizing profusely.

He turned around and saw Casey standing, holding a shopping bag. Adorning an all-black bodycon gown, her blonde hair flowed freely down her back. She wore a pink leather jacket to complement the floor-length bodycon gown.“What are you doing here? In these luxurious shopping parts of the City?” She asked as she strides closer to him.“She looks sexy,” Eileen said, smacking her lips and looking into her brother’s eyes with a smug grin on her face. “Wipe that smugness off!” He commanded in a hushed whisper. Eileen giggled and stood beside him.“Casey! It's been a while, I should have been the one asking you since this part isn't normally your jurisdiction.” He extended his arms and accepted the hug she brought. She looked different, not like the stern, straightforward doctor he meant almost a year ago. Her dark hair was blonde now and she was dressed in her usual business-looking outfits, but rather a casual one. It was a new look for Aidan.“I remember you.” She pointed to Eileen, wa

“Oh my God!” She jumped back and quickly deterred her eyes by covering them with her hands.“I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't know” She turned quickly and closed the door behind her.Aidan fell on her neck as he was still on top of her, buried deep inside of her. His hot breath continued down her neck as he heaved up and down, trying to find a calm pace for his panging chest. She chuckled. “Busted, no more hiding from her then.” She said and wrapped her legs around him, bringing him in the more. He turned to look at her and his expression was different as his dick became flaccid inside of her. It fell out itself even with her moving her waist herself to continue what Eileen had interrupted.“What is it?” She asked as he removed her wrapped legs and sat at the edge of the bed, using the sheets to cover his semi-hard dick. He rubbed his hands through his hair and sighed a weary sigh.“We shouldn't have done this, Eileen coming in here was a wake-up call” Erica was flabbergasted, and he

He saw Erica turn to get an eyeful of him. They both locked eyes and after what felt like forever, she left the two of them. Aidan shook his head after, he knew why she was leaving but that was low of her to bring it up at this point when Eileen just learned about the life her mother lived and how evil and heartless her birth father was. Erica always finds a way to squeeze herself in. “You know she's right” “What?” He squinted his lids and narrowed his eyes after what Eileen said broke his thoughts. But he didn't quite catch it, hence he asked again. “She has to leave.” “You know what, Eileen, enough!” He wagged his hand in an

Mallory’s POV “Ew. Ew! Ew!” She exclaimed as she jittered her heels across a puddle to enter the bus taking her to the prison where her mother was serving her sentence. Her mother had been leaving calls for her to come to see her, but she'd been ignoring them hoping they would go away because she didn't want to be associated with or even tied to her mother again. She finally went reluctantly when the mother told her there was something important that she needed to learn about a stack of money she kept in case of unforeseen circumstances. And being that she was flat broke, she picked up her bag and scurried to get to her mother just so she could claim the money.“Princess? Is this place too filthy for you?” One of the passengers asked as she cracked up at her.She jerked her jaw and scoffed as she found a free seat to sit down.“This is taken…” Another scooted to the free seat from the window side he sat at, frowning at her.“I don't understand…” She huffed a sigh. “How can this be t

Aidan’s POV A whole month had passed since he got Frederick and his cohorts arrested. Madam Doris was sent to jail to spend the next ten years of her pathetic life behind bars without the possibility of parole or even a retrial. Jeremy was still on trial, and this was the last day of his trial where he would be convicted of his numerous crimes. They were the most grotesque crimes ever. He was practically the enforcer of his father, no wonder the man always kept him on his side and without a leash because he carried out the most heinous crimes or got whoever would agree when he could not do it himself for him.Aidan had been going to court since their trial, not because it was necessary but to see the downfall on their faces when they were finally convicted. And boy! Did Frederick feel like he had lost a huge battle he thought he’d already won? He looked dejected like he had lost a fight with a grizzly bear he underestimated. His snares and glare did little to nothing to him as he was
