"Vicious? We are not vicious, old man. We are just doing our jobs. So we should be very diligent at our work, right? You should be praising us for being such diligent workers, old man" The leader said and once again continued laughing.

His words made all the people on the street show disgust towards him while his followers doubled over with laughter. There were even a couple of men that fell to the ground, holding their stomachs, trying to hold their laughter but in vain.

Jasmine tried to bring her voice back as she spoke again while holding onto Grandpa Luke's hand tighter, "Grandpa Luke, h.. Hel.. help me.. Ple.. Please."

Looking at the young lady in such a sorry state, Grandpa Luke's eyes filled with moisture in an instant. He wanted to speak to reassure her but he was worried that his choked voice would hinder him from giving her confidence.

He tightened his grip on her hand and nodded his head, promising her.

"Hey you bad kid," Grandpa Luke stood up and looked straight at the leader and called him, "Leave the girl immediately and I also advise you to leave this town. I don't want to look at your stupid face in this town ever again. Did you understand?"

The leader once again laughed, "Okay okay. Since you are an old man, I should listen to your words, right? Sure. I will listen. But since you gave me two orders and I have to maintain my own dignity in front of my followers I can't follow all of your wishes either. Don't you think so?

"So, how about this? I will listen to one of your two orders. I will leave this town and never show my face to you again. But leaving this woman alone? That, you can forget about it. What do you say? Aren't I a good boy now?"

"..." 'Is that the main point here?'

The old man really wanted to raise his cane and hit it over the leader's head.

But he also knows that this is not the time for that. Instead the priority is to save Jasmine from his hands.

He opened his mouth to speak to the leader again but before he could do so, another voice came from the side, "You should leave sister Jasmine alone. Then you will be called a good boy."

Everyone turned their heads to look at a small kid around the age of eight years old, who was looking at the leader and spoke seriously.

The leader raised his eyebrows, "Oh my! Oh my! First it is an old man and now it is a young man?"

He then looked at Jasmine who was lying on the ground, while tightly holding onto Grandpa Luke's leg, either afraid that he would leave her alone or because she wanted his support, and sneered, "Hey woman, are you that good in bed? You seduced the men from all age groups in this town? How many men in this town did you sleep with, huh?"

Listening to the vulgar words that the leader spoke, all the women in the town closed their ears. Some mothers closed the ears of their kids while hiding them in their arms so they wouldn't be able to see or hear anything.

All the men, on the other hand, scowled at him. How could he accuse them of doing such a thing?

All the older men had seen Jasmine grow up in their town. Since the town had always been small, they had treated all the kids in the town as their own.

Hence they had seen Jasmine as their own daughter or granddaughter depending on their age.

On the other hand, all the young men who were of the same age had always treated her as their sister.

It was because since their childhood everyone knew that Jasmine belongs to Caesar and no one else. Hence they would always tease the couple.

All the kids of the same age would always play along in the town. Hence Caesar was their friend. There is no way someone would lay their eyes on his woman. Therefore Jasmine was their sister from a very young age and that fact was ingrained in their minds like an absolute rule.

Now listening to a rogue man saying that they had slept with their sister, they wanted to puke and also go and punch the man in the face. It felt really disgusting.

"What are you talking about, you jerk?" Most of the men shouted at once.

"Oh my! Oh my! Look at this. You really have a huge following, woman," The leader did not care about all the youngster's anger. Instead he was in a mood to agitate them and also Jasmine.

All the men's faces turned dark when their reaction was turned into something vulgar once again.
