Their beautiful and charming Jasmine was brought to such a state?

Who dared to do that?

Everyone was shocked at the sight of her.

Someone raised their voice and asked loudly, "Hey you. Who are you people? What are you doing to our Jasmine? Leave her alone immediately."

One of the goons, who looked like the leader of the gang, smiled and replied, "Leave her? I am sorry old man, but we have orders to deal with her as soon as possible. And you. Well, if you want to join her then you can talk all you want. If not, I want you all to just shut up and watch what was going on. Do you all understand?"

Everyone frowned at his words. They wanted to talk back but before any voice could come out, they saw the head of the goons raising a gun in his hand pointing at them.

Instantly everyone shut their mouths and did not dare to speak a word against the man.

The bullets are faster than men after all.

They had no chance to save themselves if they were to be shot by the man.

Looking at the man's calm composure, they were sure that it was not their first time killing a person either. Hence everyone was scared to agitate him.

Seeing that everyone did not speak a word, the leader smiled triumphantly.

There was clear disgust in his eyes when he saw all their cowardly looks. 'This is how a human's nature is. They will show that they care for other humans but when it comes to their own safety they would not dare to help others.'

'Cowards.'

'When you can't face danger to save someone, then why do you even care to speak the words like humanity and all other nonsense as if you are on the higher moral ground?'

The leader's contempt and disgust was very clear in his eyes but he did not care to speak his words out loud. He is here to finish his mission. Not to give a motivational speech to all these cowards in order to make them strong and brave enough to face them and fight them.

Not everyone in the town was actually scared of their deaths. An old man who lived all by himself took a step forward and faced the goons, "Leave the girl alone. Or I will break your heads with my cane. Do you understand?"

To prove his point, the old man even used his walking stick to thump on the ground three times. This action created a huge hole in the ground showing that he may be old but his strength is not to be underestimated.

The leader was actually shocked by the old man's conviction to save the girl. But that did not scare him. Such men are even more easier to deal with than the cowards like others sometimes. And he had done this so many times already.

Hence he couldn't help but show his teeth and laugh like he was enjoying the show the old man was putting on.

"Old man, looks like you did not understand what I said earlier?"

The old man snorted in return, "What do you want to do? Do you want to kill me? I don't mind exchanging my life for a youngster's life. Do you want to kill my family? Sadly I don't have any family here either. So there is nothing you could do to scare me."

The leader raised his eyebrows as he was really enjoying this show. The old man even came forwards and held onto Jasmine's hand, "Kid, come here. Get up. Look at me. We are all here for you, okay. Don't be scared of the scum like him. Get up."

Jasmine was lying on the ground and was grunting with pain since the old man just held onto her hand that was already manhandled by the goons earlier.

She slowly opened her eyes. Her eyebrows had a cut on them and when she opened her eyes, a drop of blood fell on her cheeks from her lashes.

She opened her lips to speak but there is a huge bruise at the corner of her mouth showing that someone had punched her directly on the mouth.

It was painful and yet Jasmine opened her mouth to speak, "Grandpa Luke."

"Yes kid, it is your Grandpa Luke. Don't worry. He will help you at all costs."

Jasmine smiled but it made her lips stretch and affected her wound. She winced and this made Grandpa Luke's heart hurt.

He glared at the goons and snarled, "How vicious are you to do such a thing to a young girl?"

His words only caused the leader to laugh and that was followed by all his men. The entire street was calm except for the loud laughter of the bunch of goons.
