Chapter-5 The New Job

That morning, Aiden was ready with his suit. He stood in front of the mirror to make sure that he looked very handsome that day.

That day he planned to go to the address that Lord Osrich had offered him. 

Lord Osrich said that he would get a job there. Aiden left the house. By driving his car, he drove it to an address that he already knew. That morning's journey was very cool. 

Aiden even deliberately lowered his window to enjoy the cool air that morning. Accompanied by the sound of the radio, Aiden drove his car leisurely. He felt there was no need to rush.

After about thirty minutes, Aiden finally arrived at a very sturdy building. The glass-dominated building looks very majestic, towering upwards.

When the man got out of his car, Aiden was even more taken with the structure.

Then, he stood in front of the car while adjusting his suit, which looked unkempt because he had been sitting in the car for too long. Then, Aiden stepped into the building. Aiden was confused about what he should do. 

Then, he turned to face the receptionist's office.He thought that he could ask the receptionist. Because of that, he walked to the receptionist.

After he arrived there, he saw a beautiful woman looking at the computer screen in front of her. 

The woman looked so focused until she did not notice Aiden's arrival. Aiden greeted. "Excuse me!"

This made the receptionist's focus shift. The woman turned to Aiden, who was at that time standing in front of her.

The receptionist was stunned for a moment after seeing Aiden's handsome face, as if she were hypnotized.

"Yes, Sir. Is there anything I can help you?" asked the receptionist softly. 

This time she stood up from her seat out of respect for Aiden. Not only that, the receptionist also wanted to see Aiden's very handsome face more clearly.

"I'm here to get a job. From the information that I've received, this company is looking for a new employee." Aiden explained his purpose for coming to the company.

"Oh. Please wait!” The receptionist asked Aiden to wait.

"Okay." Then Aiden waited. The receptionist seemed to be taking something from behind his desk.

"Please fill in your name and phone number! I will call the manager," said the beautiful receptionist, handing Aiden a guest list book.

"Okay," Aiden replied, then began to write his name and phone number.

"You can wait and sit there! Please wait in the waiting chair over there!” The receptionist invited Aiden to sit on a chair not far from them. 

The receptionist also pointed to the waiting chair on the right. Aiden immediately stepped into the chair.

Then he sat down and waited. Meanwhile, the receptionist was busy calling someone. 

For Aiden, it seemed that the receptionist informed the company manager that someone wanted to see him.

Aiden waited for the receptionist to speak. He looked around the building. The atmosphere was busy. 

After the receptionist finished talking, Aiden stood up and walked to the receptionist. Then, Aiden asked. "So, is there any information?".

"You can wait a moment. The manager has some meetings. Please wait over there!” 

The receptionist gave her best smile in front of Aiden. Aiden replied. "Okay.”

"Thank you!" Aiden thanked. 

Then the man walked into the chair again. Actually, he was a little too lazy to wait, but it couldn't be helped. That was all he could do at the moment; Aiden was also in need of work.

Aiden landed his butt there. He sighed. It would definitely be a long time to have to wait like this. Luckily, there were some magazines on the table.

At least, Aiden could keep himself busy reading them. On the other hand, the receptionist had been silently watching Aiden. She felt attracted to the man. 

The receptionist also only found out Aiden's name after reading the guest book earlier. The feeling of wanting to get to know Aiden was getting stronger in the receptionist's mind. Finally, bravely, the receptionist stepped into the waiting room. 

She originally brought Aiden a drink. The receptionist said as she handed Aiden a glass of water. "Mr. Aiden, this is a drink for you! I know you must be thirsty." 

Aiden was a little surprised by the arrival of the receptionist. Then he lowered the magazine in his hand and said, "Thank you!"

The woman in the above-the-knee slit skirt looked embarrassed. Finally, the plan to be able to talk to Aiden worked.

"Thank you!" That was all Aiden could say.

"By the way, what are you applying for here?" asked the receptionist. 

She kept wanting to talk to Aiden whenever there was an opportunity, so she had to make the most of it.

Aiden was confused. In his heart, he wondered why the receptionist kept asking him even though he was too lazy to talk much. 

He was also confused about the answer that he must give. He only came there because of Lord Osrich, and Lord Osrich only told him that there was a job there.

There was no more information about the job that Aiden would get or apply for.

"I'll take whatever part on this company that the company needs," Aiden finally said.

The receptionist was smiling. "Looking at you, it looks like you will definitely be placed in a very good position in this company!"

"I hope so." Then, Aiden smiled. That was his hope, but he was not sure that he would get a very good position in that company.

"Then..." The receptionist's speech was cut off when she heard the sound of the loafers hitting the floor. 

It seemed like the manager had arrived. The receptionist turned her head to the sound, and not long after, she saw her boss had just come out of the elevator door.

"The manager has come," said the receptionist.

"Manager, he is Aiden. Aiden, he is the manager." The receptionist introduced them. 

Then she asked for permission to leave them. The manager made his body closer to Aiden.

Then, the man shook the manager's hand respectfully. Without saying much, the man of stature led Aiden to the department that he oversaw.

Aiden was actually a little surprised by the manager's attitude. From the start, there were no greetings or a few pleasantries that were created.

The expression on his face also looks very serious, but Aiden didn't care about that. That time, he just needed to follow behind the manager.

After being on the third floor and walking through several corridors, they finally arrived at the department headed by the manager.

Aiden could clearly see that all the employees in the department were very numerous and all busy with their respective computer screens.

Few of them were aware of the presence of the manager and Aiden.

"Everyone, please pay attention!" shouted the manager, giving instructions for them all to stop their work for a moment.

"There will be a new employee who will work in our department. His name is Aiden.” He introduced Aiden loudly, so that everyone there was focused on Aiden.

Aiden gave his best smile. Then he bowed his head slightly to everyone present as a sign of respect and greeting. 

Everyone seemed very enthusiastic about Aiden's arrival, perhaps because the man was handsome.

Moreover, several women who were there whispered to each other, admiring Aiden's handsomeness.

"Hey! Come here!" said the manager, waving his hand at one of the employees. From what Aiden saw, it seemed that the person is the manager's right-hand man.

The man made his body closer to the manager, as well. They were whispering something. Then, the manager's head nodded in understanding.

"Okay! Please take care of him!" said the manager, then just left the place.

Aiden looked confused by the current situation. In his opinion, there are numerous irregularities. 

Especially after seeing the strange behavior of the manager and his right-hand man, Aiden suspected that the two of them would do bad things to him.

But Aiden tried to be calm and didn't seem suspicious of them. If they are ready with all their cunning, Aiden is also prepared to face it all.
