Nathan was shocked when he heard their manager beg him not to try to remember what had happened. He was not sure what he was going to say at the moment, but he knew that there was something that would either be the breaking point or what he would hold on to as evidence that there were still good people in the world.

But was he wrong? Nathan slowly looked back at the manager. His blood boiling and his heart pounding, he tried not to burst out cursing the man.

“You think I should forgive the people who tried to insult me? I don't know how you think that there was anything that would show me a way that I would live and not think about all the damn things these two said to me?”

Nathan was looking at the manager, trying to put the thought through his head that he was only trying to gain his trust and partnership without even trying to understand what his men had done to him.

‘This man is insane if he thinks that I would just forget what these two idiots said to me. How they treated

Nathan was about to leave when he turned to look at Katline, “You know I always thought you were more than what I saw in your family. But you didn't even change anything, not even your attitude, but then I hope you see that there is more to life than all the riches you thought were the main thing in the world. I hope you and your retard friend there don't choke on hate.”Nathan turned to leave. He was not even going to stand there for another minute. He had delivered the message he wanted to deliver, and it would stay with Katline until she was ready to understand that there was nothing she could do.Nathan got into the car with Alissa, and they drove off.“So, where do you want to go, Sir? I know you have a schedule you want to follow at all costs.” Alissa looked at Nathan. She knew that he was the type of person who would stop at nothing to make sure everything was in place, and he was never late to a meeting or even a gathering, but it was as if he had not yet decided to go a

Nathan wasn't even looking at them like they were meant to be close to him or anything like that. He knew there was no way he would even consider making things a bit better.“I will always say this: You don't know what you have until you lose it. I am not saying this to encourage you or something like that; I don't even know why you would think I am trying to make you feel better for the trashy move you pulled. I wonder what you were thinking.”Nathan was about to walk away when Paul pulled his hand. He was not about to let him walk away after he was disrespectful to him in every way. “Look, delivery boy, I will have to make you pay for acting like you are worth something you are not even meant to be alive or even breathe the air I breathe.”“I will say it once, and I expect you to make sure that you do what I tell you, or I will make sure that you feel the pain that you will never try to understand in your life.” Nathan looked at Paul. No one was there to tell Paul that he was

During his time in Vega Hills, Nathan learned that the way of life there was measured by what you had, not by what you could do for society. It was something that would always make him wonder what type of humans even existed in the country he was trying to hide in.“I will not be there to pick you up from the courthouse, but I will send Ali; she will make sure that nothing goes wrong, and please be warned, she worships you like a god of some sort.”Claire was telling Nathan what to expect; she knew he would not be happy if he saw someone who didn't look like what he expected when picking him up from the courthouse.“Okay, is there anything else you need to tell me?” Nathan looked at Claire, who, for some reason, looked like she was hurrying up for something.“You will have to make sure that there is nothing or no one who would piss you off and try to have a great day without me.” Claire had a smile on her face, and she was looking at Nathan, who didn't even act like something

Alissa’s car stopped in front of them. Nathan was shocked to see that she was no longer just a normal girl, but part of the city's elite.“You became something. Tell me how long it took you to reach this level of wealth, Alissa?” Nathan was looking at Alissa, trying to see if she would tell him how and why she had made so much money, and it was like she wasn't yet done.“Well, I took advice from your dad. He was the main reason I entered the business realm in the first place. Without him, there would have been no way for me to even think of doing anything with business.” Alissa was smiling when she saw that Nathan had seen how far she had gone, and he was even proud of her in a way.“You took your inspiration from him? I don't see how that is possible, but let's go with that and try to believe that there was no other person involved in making you think of business.” Nathan smiled. He was shocked to see how far his friend had gone and what she had accomplished in a short time. Th

“So what brings you to this part of town? Last I heard, you were rebelling against your father for trying to arrange a marriage you didn't like. Then I heard you ran away and haven't been seen at the Consortium for years now. I have been checking to see if you would ever think of coming back.”Alissa was walking with Nathan, and it felt like they had picked up where they left off, and it would be funny for some that both of them were good friends.“I was, but now I am trying to go see my father, although I know he hates me for what I did, and I need to make things right with him.” Nathan looked back on his life and saw that he had made unforgiving mistakes that would scar him.He walked out on his father and made sure to yell at everyone who tried to correct him. He also left the house, trying to make his own money, but ended up loving the wrong person.“I can never take back all I said to him, and what I did is certainly not the best thing for a son to say to his father.”N

Nathan was not sure he would even find a restaurant that would take his card, but it was weird that only certain machines accepted his black card.“Perks of being an heir, I guess,” Nathan muttered to himself as he walked down to look for where he was going to eat.The lady Nathan had bumped into earlier was following him. Nathan was surprised that someone like that would even think of following him, but he said nothing. He only needed to know why she was behind him.Nathan stopped and turned back. He was looking at the lady, and she was looking at him.“Now tell me,what is it that you want? I don't know why you are even following me like this. It's not like there is something I did to you, but you are just following me like there is something you know about me.”Nathan looked at her and noticed she still seemed familiar to him. But where he had seen her was the problem. It was at the tip of his tongue, but he couldn't actually say who she was.“You don't seem to remember me
