The Martins Family Mansion was one of the finest houses in Caldor. The Martins were a middle-class family who enjoyed the wealth passed down to them.
The family head, Kelvin Martins, was trying to ensure that nothing would ruin his family image, and his daughter Rachel fit that category, with the grandfather’s help he wanted to make sure that Rachel would
“I don't know how on earth she is part of this family. She shouldn't be allowed to be anywhere close to this house after we find a horrible loser to take her from our hands.”
Elizabeth Martins scoffed. She was in the living room waiting for someone to walk in and tell them that they would want to marry Rachel. They were waiting for the results from the test they were holding.
“Mother, I think that she should be thrown out, or maybe we can make her one of the maids if we are not able to find someone to take her deformed self out of this house,” Aria said in a mocking voice. She was the pampered princess of the Martins household.
All the Family members in the Martins household were in attendance that day. They were waiting to hear the Grandfather’s decision, he was going to select a groom for his granddaughter from the fifteen men who stood in front of them.
Standing there on the huge balcony of the Martins Family stood the fifteen men who had reached the family’s evaluation. They were men of all ages, shapes, and sizes.
None of them there had any impressive background, well all except Nathan.
He had come in unnoticed because he made sure that no one in Caldor would know who he was.
But he was there to make sure that Rachel didn't fall into the wrong hands, he waited for their decision.
He knew that without Rachel, he would have died and he would never have become the Masked General.
He owed her a lot.
An old man walked out beside him was a man who looked like he was in his early forties, they were Rachel’s grandfather and Father.
They stopped in front of the fifteen men, they were going to do something to see if any of them would pass the last test and make sure that they were going to be the one for Rachel.
"Now all of you are here for the inheritance following this woman, I will her to the person who would be able to stand and look at her face." The man said as he turned to look in the opposite direction.
He stretched his hand, signaling for someone to come. The men looked up to see a woman dressed in a white veil coming out of the other side. She walked to the old man and stood by his side.
Ben turned to her, walked over, and opened her veil revealing her disfigured face. Immediately fourteen of the men showed disgust all except Nathan who couldn't help but notice Rachel’s red eyes.
‘Is that what she looks like?”
“I thought they said it was a minor injury?”
“She looks like an ogre,”
“If you know you can't bear looking at her face, please kindly leave,” Ben said, immediately they heard the words the men turned back and left. All of them left except Nathan who stood in his place.
The Martins were shocked to see there was someone who stood there not moving an inch.
“You, what is your name?” Ben asked when he was looking at the man in front of him.
“My name is Nathan Specter,” Nathan gave him a straight answer not trying to hide anything from him.
“Well Nathan you have seen her face, are you sure you would want to be with her?” Ben asked, looking at Nathan to get his reply.
“Yes,” Nathan said without even hesitating, he was not going to give them the chance to ask him another question.
Ben looked at the young man in front of him and shook his head. “She is yours then, I don't know why you would want to marry such a hideous person but that would be your concern and not mine.”
Ben turned and left Rachel standing there, his face showed that he was disappointed.
“This has to be an embarrassment, all the other families have their firstborn daughter married off to a prestigious family. Ours has to be the only family marrying off their daughter to a common man from the streets!” Elizabeth sounded more disappointed.
“Father, I have to go handle things at the company, I can't stand to watch this eyesore,” Marcus was looking at Rachel and he couldn't even look at his daughter properly.
None of the family members were going to look at Rachel like she was worth anything to them.
Rachel couldn't do anything but stand there in shame, her own family had sold her to a man so they would be able to take her hideous face out of the family.
‘So that does it? I have been sold out of this place,’ Rachel thought to herself when she saw a hand stretched out in front of her. Rachel looked up to see Nathan looking at her with a smile on his face.
“Give me your hand, I make sure that there is no way anyone would hurt you ever again,” Nathan said looking at Rachel.
She was a bit confused as to why the man in front of her was trying to put up an act, it was a bit confusing to her and she was trying to understand what he was trying to do.
She could only look at him at him and wonder what was going on in his mind. She took the hands of the man in front of her and immediately she felt his warm welcoming touch.
Rachel looked at Nathan, all she could see was a smile on his face.
“Come on, I will not let anyone harm you again.”

The winds in Caldor had changed; everyone knew something was going on, and there was something they couldn’t control happening in their midst, so the best thing they could do was to stay away and make sure that no one would even go close to it. Neo Ackerman and Michael Keaton knew what they were in for, and they didn’t want to believe that it was going to happen right away. Neo didn’t want anything to come between his deal with the order and what he was going to get, but hearing that Sirus was in town made it clear where he was standing and how fragile the floors were. He needed to make sure that no matter what happens, he won’t be in the crossfire, and the last thing he would be thinking about is what was going to happen next. Michael had made his way to see Neo; he knew that the only person who would be able to say something about what was going on was one of the big shots in the city, and he wasn’t going to back down from anything. “You better have a good darn reason to be her

Years ago, on the blood-stained snows of the Northern Plain…The warriors of Zauf were parading with their lord standing by their side; they were going to take over one of the biggest lands on the continent, and nobody would be able to stop them. With them was the strongest warrior in their nation, the one known for his cruelty and strength. The Shadow of Zauf himself…Sirus had taken down the army of the North, blocking their path with his valiant men, and they were not going to let anything even come close to making it hard. “Sirus, today the North will fall, and you will be the one who led us to this victory.” Klaus had a smile on his face knowing that the warrior he had assigned as his second in command was up for the duty, and nothing was going to hold him back from doing anything that he was assigned to do. “Lord Klaus, I will forever serve you and the army of our powerful nation of Zauf. They aren’t going to get us to back down from a fight, and even if they had a plan to

Nathan had gotten the call from Rachel while he was in another meeting with Loid and Steven. He didnt think much of it, but hearing her voice and her being all worried was something off. “Rachel, what is going on?” He was already worried that there was something about to happen; it was not even possible that something might have happened. “It's a code black, she is out there fighting someone and….”The line went dead, Nathan was looking at the phone, his eyes were empty, and he was trying to get his head through who might have gotten there. He was not about to rush there knowing that there was a chance they would be putting her in danger, but then there was something going on, and if he was not fast about it, then something might happen to Rachel, and he would never be able to forgive himself for it. “What happened?” Loid was looking at Nathan, the man walked past him with a strange look on his face, showing he was not about to be handling anything that was beyond what he would w

Sirus stood across the hall, looking at Cruz, waiting for him to make a move that would give him the opening he needed to take him down. There was nothing that would give him more joy than to remove the one man who seemed to be a huge problem for him at the moment. Cruz was still shocked to see Sirus in front of him. He knew something was about to happen, and it was about to take a swing south if he wasn't going to use his brain. “I—I didnt do anything to make you angry, my liege, and you know it. There is nothing that should make you even think of…” “You found out that Rachel Martins is the last living member of the Arias family, and what did you do?” Sirus spoke softly, but his voice never wavered to be soothed by anything to be trifled with, and his eyes were on Cruz, trying to see if he was going to use it to pin him down and make sure he would take out the man who was making things hard for him at the moment. “You went on to take her out alone, not even trying to bring it to

Their clash was strong enough to send waves through the company wall, and Elena was strong enough to hold her own against Cruz. It was like trying to put down a rabid dog, trying to do its best to kill her. Every strike Cruz made, Elena seemed to have a counter and a quick recovery time that made it hard for anyone to even put up with her in any way. She was one of the generals for a reason, and that reason was that no one would even think of coming close to her to put her down. Cruz saw what she was doing and the way it felt like she had the moves waiting for him to make a mistake. “You know this is why I always saw you as someone formidable, and I would never do anything to cross your path.” He said as he took a step back, his eyes on Elena, who didnt seem to have broken a sweat yet. “It was the reason why you didn't even look like someone I would try to take on because I knew the moment I went for you, then there would be problems that even my skills couldn’t buy me out of.”

“Come on, Rachel, you don’t need to do anything to make sure that nothing is going to come your way from all the angels, and I will make sure you will not even know what is going to happen if you let it go that much.” Elena was trying to see if he could get Rachel to calm down over some business agreements they had, and from what he was seeing, it was not going to be easy for anything even to happen. Rachel was trying to get her head out of the game for some time, knowing what it meant if they were about to get something done. “I am telling you, if we can get this company to back down, then there is a chance for you to maximise the earning rate of this company, and we aren't going to be getting anything out of it if we keep taking the low way down.” Elena had a smile on her face. She was surprised that Rachel was picking up fast enough like that, and there was nothing a bit off about it except that she was now taking everything like she was darn pro in the field for a long time.
