The Martins Family Mansion was one of the finest houses in Caldor. The Martins were a middle-class family who enjoyed the wealth passed down to them.

The family head, Kelvin Martins, was trying to ensure that nothing would ruin his family image, and his daughter Rachel fit that category, with the grandfather’s help he wanted to make sure that Rachel would

“I don't know how on earth she is part of this family. She shouldn't be allowed to be anywhere close to this house after we find a horrible loser to take her from our hands.”

Elizabeth Martins scoffed. She was in the living room waiting for someone to walk in and tell them that they would want to marry Rachel. They were waiting for the results from the test they were holding.

“Mother, I think that she should be thrown out, or maybe we can make her one of the maids if we are not able to find someone to take her deformed self out of this house,” Aria said in a mocking voice. She was the pampered princess of the Martins household.

All the Family members in the Martins household were in attendance that day. They were waiting to hear the Grandfather’s decision, he was going to select a groom for his granddaughter from the fifteen men who stood in front of them.

Standing there on the huge balcony of the Martins Family stood the fifteen men who had reached the family’s evaluation. They were men of all ages, shapes, and sizes.

None of them there had any impressive background, well all except Nathan.

He had come in unnoticed because he made sure that no one in Caldor would know who he was.

But he was there to make sure that Rachel didn't fall into the wrong hands, he waited for their decision.

He knew that without Rachel, he would have died and he would never have become the Masked General.

He owed her a lot.

An old man walked out beside him was a man who looked like he was in his early forties, they were Rachel’s grandfather and Father.

They stopped in front of the fifteen men, they were going to do something to see if any of them would pass the last test and make sure that they were going to be the one for Rachel.

"Now all of you are here for the inheritance following this woman, I will her to the person who would be able to stand and look at her face." The man said as he turned to look in the opposite direction.

He stretched his hand, signaling for someone to come. The men looked up to see a woman dressed in a white veil coming out of the other side. She walked to the old man and stood by his side.

Ben turned to her, walked over, and opened her veil revealing her disfigured face. Immediately fourteen of the men showed disgust all except Nathan who couldn't help but notice Rachel’s red eyes.

‘Is that what she looks like?”

“I thought they said it was a minor injury?”

“She looks like an ogre,”

“If you know you can't bear looking at her face, please kindly leave,” Ben said, immediately they heard the words the men turned back and left. All of them left except Nathan who stood in his place.

The Martins were shocked to see there was someone who stood there not moving an inch.

“You, what is your name?” Ben asked when he was looking at the man in front of him.

“My name is Nathan Specter,” Nathan gave him a straight answer not trying to hide anything from him.

“Well Nathan you have seen her face, are you sure you would want to be with her?” Ben asked, looking at Nathan to get his reply.

“Yes,” Nathan said without even hesitating, he was not going to give them the chance to ask him another question.

Ben looked at the young man in front of him and shook his head. “She is yours then, I don't know why you would want to marry such a hideous person but that would be your concern and not mine.”

Ben turned and left Rachel standing there, his face showed that he was disappointed.

“This has to be an embarrassment, all the other families have their firstborn daughter married off to a prestigious family. Ours has to be the only family marrying off their daughter to a common man from the streets!” Elizabeth sounded more disappointed.

“Father, I have to go handle things at the company, I can't stand to watch this eyesore,” Marcus was looking at Rachel and he couldn't even look at his daughter properly.

None of the family members were going to look at Rachel like she was worth anything to them.

Rachel couldn't do anything but stand there in shame, her own family had sold her to a man so they would be able to take her hideous face out of the family.

‘So that does it? I have been sold out of this place,’ Rachel thought to herself when she saw a hand stretched out in front of her. Rachel looked up to see Nathan looking at her with a smile on his face.

“Give me your hand, I make sure that there is no way anyone would hurt you ever again,” Nathan said looking at Rachel.

She was a bit confused as to why the man in front of her was trying to put up an act, it was a bit confusing to her and she was trying to understand what he was trying to do.

She could only look at him at him and wonder what was going on in his mind. She took the hands of the man in front of her and immediately she felt his warm welcoming touch.

Rachel looked at Nathan, all she could see was a smile on his face.

“Come on, I will not let anyone harm you again.”

Nathan was now making preparations, trying to make sure that he would be ready for anything that would happen in the long run, and he was going to make sure that nothing was going to be in the way. “You do know going to the North would mean that we are going to start the war on a proper standpoint.” Liu was in the room with him, and they were trying to think of ways to make sure that they would get the hit on Sirus and Klaus before they would even think of attacking them. “I know, but there has to be something else we haven't tried or even…” Nathan paused when he thought about it, and it was clear to him, as the days passed, that he was dealing with something that could be handled strangely, but it would be handled regardless. “I know that look,” Liu muttered, knowing that Nathan had come to a conclusion in his head and nothing was going to be done in a second.Nathan went to the table and brought out the pictures of the heirlooms in his possesion and the look on his face deepene

“So you're talking about moving the heirlooms and making sure that there isn't a way for him to come for us?” Michael was looking at Neo; their plans to lay low were now threatened. It wasn't going to be easy for them to get anything else in that land. “I am not going to be able to leave this place like this; there has to be something we can do to make sure that they know we aren't going to…” “There isn't going to be a way out of this, unless we are dead, and I am not going to die for something like this.” Neo wasn't going to try to get things done the way they planned. “If he should set his eyes on us, then it is over, the only way we can…” Neo paused; he was sure there wasn't a way he could make Michael see what he was trying to say. “I am not sure, but if you can see it, then you should know that there is something about to happen within Caldor, and it is going to ignite a new order… even if it is the smallest amount we have to make sure that we get something and move out of t

‘Caldor was now the target.’Zauf was doing everything they could to make sure that they would get to Caldor, but knowing that Nathan was somewhere, they were not going to do anything to get them. Sirus wasnt trying to get anything else wrong; they were making sure that Neo and Michael would give them the news they needed about the heirlooms there, and it was beyond them how something that small would lead to a war this big. “The South and North are facing sieges that not even the ancestors would be able to stop, but for some reason they arent trying to stop or even think of backing down.” “After all these years, you think they would be taken down? There isn't going to be a way that would even happen. It isn't going to be possible, and if they should try anything, then it would be hard to believe.” The elders in Zauf were having the conversation, and it was clear that there was something they were trying to keep to themselves, and it was beyond all of them, like it was one of the

“I am asking you for more time, I know this must look like I am not being serious, but there has to be something to tell you that…” “You asking for more time?” Marcus cut Elizabeth off, looking at her. He could see that there was something about her that didn't even add up. “You want me to give you more time? I gave you time, and what did you do with it?!” He was getting enraged, knowing that they were playing tricks with him, and they were trying to make it a bit hard for him to even imagine what their plans were. “That man isn't going to let her out of his sight, and if you think that there is going to be a chance that I would stand here to watch you try to make this even worse than it is?!” He wasnt about to play a fool to the people in front of him, they were going to be the last people that they would get him a bit off. “I am trying to make sure that there isn't going to be anything that would come back to bite me on the neck!” He was trying to make sure that they would get

Rachel stood there, she was surprised to see Ariana, and not knowing why she was even there in the first place, she knew that there was something about her coming that didnt add up, and it was going to be something that would keep haunting her. “What is she…” “I dont know, but I know she came here to make sure that she would be able to talk to you, so it would be the best thing if you would be able to talk to her.” Nathan was looking at her, knowing that they were going to have a hard time for a little while, but it was going to be the best if they were not going to be held in anything that wasnt going to be the best way for them to talk at the moment. He took a step outside, trying to make sure that nothing was going to hold them back from having a conversation. Rachel stood there looking at her. Ariana wasn't one of the people she would want to see, not after she had been fooled, and now it was going to turn into something that they would try to do. “Look, I know that you're n

The Bridge holding the Glades and The North were about to be taken down by the Armies of Zauf it wasn't going to be an easy battle that they would want to win. “Hold it down, anything that lets them through has given them the edge to make sure that they would take the land!” Warriors who didn't want to lose anything were making sure that they would stand there and make sure that Zauf is pushed back and nothing would let them through, not even a fly. Cece was doing her best trying to make sure that there wasn't going to be any way for them to even get the opening that they would need to get. Hef eyes darted through the field and she saw the way warriors were giving their lives to make sure that nothing would come through their bridge and it wasn't going to be enough to hold anything back. “We have to keep pushing!” She muttered as she pushed front trying to make a way for the ones coming right behind her knowing that there wasn't going to be an easy fix to the fight and the way th
