Nathan was waiting for the bidding price on the necklace, he didn't pay attention to the others cause he couldn't care less about them.

"I take it that's why you're here? You want to take that Amulet?" Elena was looking at Nathan and she could see that he was seriously looking at the stage with much concentration.

Nathan let out a cool sigh, he had a happy look on his face and it was clear as day that he was going to be happy to make sure that nothing was going to keep him from taking it.

"That amulet belonged to our family and it was taken from us wrongly, not only that there are more of the Specter family heirloom they are not even putting out on display but then they are planning to sell it, and they would give it to the highest bidder."

Nathan did not sound happy when he was trying to tell Elena why the Amulet was important.

"So you're telling me that those bozos have something to do with your family's death?" Elena had connected the dots, she knew that he wouldn't be thinking of hurting them if there was not a valid reason.

"Connected? They were part of the people who killed my parents, they tried to kill me too but then, I was saved only in the last minute." Nathan was looking at the stage, his gaze was unwavering.

The announcer brought the amulet out with a smile on his face.

"Now this precious jewel is going for ten million dollars!" He yelled looking around, the crowd was filled with mutters.

"Twelve million!" Someone inside the crowd yelled.

"Fourteen million!" Another yelled.

"Fifteen million!" Yet another yelled, the announcer was filled with different emotions.

"Wow, fifteen million do I have anyone going higher than that?!" He was looking around to see if there was anyone who would go higher than all that.

"Twenty-five million!"

The crowd turned to look at who made the bid, and it was the Nico Family heir, he had a smug look on his face.

"Twenty Five Million!! There is no way anyone would want to go up against one of the city's princes so I take it that there is no way-"

"Thirty-five million!"

Everyone froze when they heard the bid price, they turned to see who was making the bid.

They saw Nathan looking at them with an odd look on his face, he wasn't going to let them take his family's heirloom like that.

"Thirty-five million from the man sitting at the back, I hope he knows that this is not a joke," the announcer was looking at Nathan and the other men in the building.

There was an uproar of laughter, everyone looked at Nathan like he was some kind of poor man with nothing.

The Nico family heir smiled, and he turned to the announcer.

"I love his spirit but then let me humour him, Fifty Million dollars for the amulet!" He yelled, sending the crowd in a frenzy knowing that he was the one who was going home with it.

Nathan smiled when he saw what they were doing, and he was not going to back down.

"I believe they think you're done," Elena was looking at Nathan, she saw the smile on his face and she knew that there was no way for him to back down.

Nathan smiled as he looked at Elena, he gave her the only reply that would be seen as something cold. "What do you think?"

Nathan turned back to the crowd, he took a deep breath. "A hundred and fifty million for that amulet!"

There was silence in the crowd, they were shocked that Nathan was going further with his bid.

"Is he mad?! Can he even pay that amount?!"

"I bet he doesn't even have a quarter of that in his account, he is only doing this to get the attention of everyone here!"

"Who does he think he is going up against the Nico family?!"

The announcer was still shocked that Nathan placed a hundred and fifty million as a bid for the amulet.

"Is there anyone going higher?" The announcer asked looking around.

The Nico family heir raised his hand, he was looking at the announcer and he was waiting for him to say something odd.

"Let the man pay for the amulet if he is all that, I want to see if he is for real or if he thinks that this is a joking ground." The Nico family heir was looking at Nathan, "Or maybe he was saying all that to impress Lady Elena!"

Everyone in the crowd was muttering as well, they knew that there was no way for him to have that amount of money and he was only trying to make sure he would feel amongst them.

Or so they thought.

Nathan smiled, he didn't care about the money he only wanted to take his revenge.

"Where am I making the payment?!" He asked he was looking at them like there was something wrong with all of them.

The crowd was still stunned, they all saw Nathan as a fool for trying to put on the act further.

The Nico family heir smiled when he saw what Nathan was doing. He got up and turned to him properly, he was looking at Nathan.

"If you don't make this payment, you will become my servant and I will make you pay for denting my car! This will show you not to mess with me!" He was looking at Nathan, he didn't want to say anything else.

Nathan smiled when he heard what the man said, "And if I make the payment, I will take your car, your clothes, and every inch of your godamn dignity,"

The crowd gasped when they heard what Nathan said, he was not going to back down.

"This man is a psycho, he is going up against the Nico Family heir and thinks that he will walk out of this place?!"

Everyone was watching, the announcer took the machine meant for payment and headed to Nathan he was looking at him.

"Hey, this is a good time to back down from this madness. It's still early and no one will blame you if you pleaded for his forgiveness!" The man said as he looked at Nathan.

Nathan brought out his card, he took the machine from the announcer and he had an odd look on his face.

"I am not scared of him, besides I do like to have a new car," Nathan placed his card into the machine and waited for the payment to go through but then it was declined.

The buzz sound was loud and it showed that Nathans payment didn't go through.

The Nico family heir began to giggle, "So you're doomed right?! I knew that you didn't have anything but I wanted to humour you!"

Everyone was laughing but the announcer was not seeing payment decline but some words he had never seen on his machine.

"Device can't handle the card's capacity! Bring me the bigger machine!"

The announcer yelled, his voice made everyone in the crowd to be quiet.

Liu hadn't gotten any information on Cruz for a long time; he was not going to let anything make him think otherwise. He was trying to make sure that nothing would come in the way again and make Nathan feel like there was no way for him to get anything done. He was not sure what would come out of all his endeavors. But if one thing was certain, he would be able to get something done. “It seems that you don't understand what you are trying to get done here, do you?” A voice came from the door of his office; Liu smiled but didn't even bother to look back. “Elena, when would you learn that it is not formal for someone to come to the office like that…?” Elena giggled as she waltzed into the office; she was still not completely healed from what the men Cruz sent for her had done. “You're still trying to get the plans out?” She was looking at the papers on the table, confused; she didn't know what was going on in his head at the moment, and it wasn't even clear if there was a way for

“Obi-Nge, he is with the Masked General. Are you sure that you want to risk it in a fight?!” One of the Thorns was talking to Obi-Nge, a man with a shabby way of doing things. He wasn't trying to get in the middle of anything that would look like hard work for him, but if one of his prey had gotten away and was causing trouble. “Which is better, dealing with prey that you know you can kill and be through with, or being scared of a general that has nothing to do with your life?” Obi–Nge was looking at his partner, and nothing was going to prepare her for a question like that. He was looking at his partner and was not sure if there was going to be an answer from him. “I know you are trying to look out for me, but then there are better ways to do that, and I would love it if you understood that nothing is going to be holding us down like that, and I am not going to stand there to watch them take us down like we are some kind of lowlifes.” Obi-Nge sounded confident; he was known for

Nathan was looking at Loid; he had no idea what was going on. “I don't know what I am going to be hearing, but if you say that this is connected to all I want to know, then I am all ears.” He looked at Loid. There was no way he wouldn't want to know what was going on on the continent, and he was going to make sure that there was a way for him to solve the problem. “The families chosen were the Gregory family from the Eastern Valley, the Artheris from the Northern Plains, and then the Specters from Caldor. These were the three families picked out by the continent heads; they were going to make sure that nothing would come in the way of Orde and Law in Hondra.” Loid got up, moving to a part of the room where he picked up a chalk Nathan had lying around. “These families were not picked because of status or wealth; they were picked because the matriarch of each family had a strong sense of justice, and they were seen as the pinnacle of power and strength.” Loid sounded like there was

Nathan looked at the crest; he was not sure if it was the same as the one his family had. There was no clear difference, but then he was not sure if Loid might have had the same Crest. He didn't know if it was even possible for someone other than his family to carry the Crest like that. He did not want to interrupt the process; he had found a way to make sure that the poison would leave his body, and he was not going to let it go to waste. He would use it and make sure that nothing would take the man’s body.He waited for some time before he did something else to his body, but nothing showed that he was getting a response from the man and the treatment was going well. He stood there looking at him; the crest was still on his mind, not knowing what the exact reason was why he felt that there was something connecting it to his family, and all he needed was to make sure that there was nothing going to keep him on edge the whole time. Loid lay silent for a couple of minutes, and his bo

Zauf…. A country in Hondra is one of the deadliest places to even think of getting yourself a place. It wasn't even that much trouble getting lost there for a place called the Crime Land of Hondra—it was at its peak! In what seemed to be a five-star hotel, outside it wasn't always the worst place to be seen. Inside, there was a meeting and in that meeting sat five of the toughest and strongest men in Zauf. They were all seated for a meeting, there wasn't any sign of a weak being in the room. “I heard that those idiots failed to get Loid back here, oh the Supreme Syndicate ain't going to be happy about that.” One of the men spoke, looking around the room he could see that none of them would even have the mind to voice out what they were seeing and it was even sad for them in many ways. “How on earth did you think they would be able to do anything when they ran into the Masked General?” Another man spoke up, looking at the men there he was one of the few that looked odd and

“I don't know who told you that coming to my mansion was a good idea.” Nathan was looking at the last man standing, he had taken down the other two, and it wasn't even up to three minutes when they attacked. Nathan was moving like a hollow ghost taking them out one by one, and it was the last man he was looking at. His eyes were fixed on him like a hawk, and he wasnt going to be letting him go that easily. “You don't know what you are getting yourself into, if you touch me then that means you are making yourself an enemy and this isn't something you want to see yourself doing. There is no need to make yourself the enemy here.” The last man tried to talk to Nathan, but it would not work. He was looking at someone who had made up his mind to kill them and it was like pouring water on a rock. “You think I would give a damn to whatever it is you are trying to tell me. But I couldn't even care less.” Nathan was looking at the man, standing over him like a wall. “You think that I woul
