Chapter 5

Don’t touch her!

“Hey woman, you need to eat something; the boss commands it,” Steve’s employee commands Jane.

“Fuck you, fuck your boss, fuck all of you!” Jane screams with so much anger and tears. She’s so worried about her dad at this point. How worried he must be.

The employee walks close to Jane, picks up a rope from a table behind her, and ties her hands and legs as if she wouldn’t stop fighting back and kicking. He tries to force food into Jane’s mouth, but she spits it out on his face.

He’s so furious and raises his hand to hit Jane, but is barged on by Steve, who’s so offended to see his employee raising his hand at Jane.

“Hey!” Steve screams at the top of his lungs when he sees his employee, Jane, raising her hand. He runs to her,

“What have you done?” Steve asks the employee, and before he could say anything, Steve punches him in the stomach and pushes him against the wall.

“No one touches Jane, is that clear?” Steve utters sternly, looking at his eyeballs.

“Yes, boss, I’m sorry, Striker,” the employee apologizes, breathing profusely and walking fast away from Steve, as Steve had squeezed the collars of his shirt around his neck such that he couldn’t breathe properly.

Steve immediately runs to Jane, who’d been following their fight, unties her quickly, and apologizes on his employee’s behalf. Jane is so surprised at a kidnapper’s behavior towards her.

“Is this man for real?” she ponders but maintains her silence.

“But he was right, you know, you have to eat something; you can’t continue starving like this,” Steve mutters with so much concern.

“Then let me go if you care,” Jane yells at Steve. “You will go, but not until your father pays what he owes me,” Steve answers.

“My father owes you.” How’s that even possible? My father has a lot of money, and he can’t possibly owe anyone anything. “How do you even know my dad?” Jane utters it anxiously.

“Ooh, you ask many questions, baby girl. “I promise you if you eat, I’ll tell you everything you need to know.”

Steve is ready to open up to Jane, just so she can eat. Jane asks for a glass of water, which Steve serves her cheerfully. As she sips, they can’t help but look at each other from eyeball to eyeball.

“I need some rest,” Jane utters and goes to her room. After freshening up, she goes to sleep. She wakes up next to J, the employee she fought with the previous day.

“I apologize for tying you up, Miss,” he sputters, looking remorseful.

“The boss wants you to come down for breakfast,” he continues.

“It’s ok, tell him I’ll be there in a couple of minutes.”

After freshening up, she goes downstairs. Steve is waiting in the dining room, admiring Jane as she comes down the stairs. She's so beautiful. She had gorgeous curly hair. Her lips are so seductive and soft. Eyes that are charming and cheerful. Jane is spotless and has a perfect glow. The rising sun reflects on her thighs as she walks down majestically.

Steve can’t get his eyes off her thighs. He looks at it noticeably. Jane hasn’t had a change of clothes since she came. She still has the short gown she wore the day she was kidnapped. “Good morning,” Steve greets Po-faced. “Morning,” Jane replies.

“Help yourself with whatever you want,” Steve utters, waking up to leave.

“And get ready; we’re going somewhere,” he continues.

“Where?” “Listen, I’m not going anywhere with you if it’s not South Carolina.” Jane responds, standing up to Steve in anger.

“I said get ready.” Steve replies to her in exasperation and leaves.

Steve had had his cooks make a special breakfast for Jane. There are green and red grapes, apples, watermelons, bananas, and oranges for fruits. Bread, coffee, and tea, just to name a few

Steve woke up early to prepare fruit and vegetable salads for her. All his maids are surprised to see their boss in the kitchen for the first time. He’s arranged it neatly and nicely to impress Jane.

“The boss sent me here to keep you company,” J utters.

“I see your boss wants me to go out of shape.” Jane replies with a sheepish smile.

“I think he cares about you,” J replies with a faint smile, pulling up a seat at the table to sit down.

Steve peeps from a window behind him to make sure Jane is eating, and he is so happy to see her eating and chatting with J. Steve smiles and goes up to his room.

Minutes later, Steve comes down, holding his car keys.

“Let’s go,” he sputters, going outside. Jane follows him silently; she’s already confident that Steve can’t hurt her but is still worried about why he has her. She knows it has something to do with the mafia life her dad once lived and the suspicious phone calls she’s been getting him to make.

Steve takes a couple of minutes to decide which car he wants to use and later chooses the black Range Rover Evoque. He opens the door on the passenger’s side for Jane to get in. Jane’s still skeptical,

“Where’s this motherfucker taking me to?” she ponders. Steve makes a sign with his head, telling her to get inside the car. Jane slowly gets in. Steve closes the door, gets up, and drives on.

There’s a moment of silence, but Steve decides to break it.

“I’m sorry I got you dragged into this, baby girl; when I get what I want, I’ll take you back to your daddy in one piece, so do not do anything stupid,” Steve utters while driving and passes passing glances at Jane, who remains mute.

Steve has brought her to a supermarket to get some clothes for herself. As they step out of the car, Jane starts acting weird. Steve knows she wants to call for help seeing people around, so he goes close to her and holds her hand.

“Remember, do not do anything stupid if you wish to see your dad,” Steve warns her.
