Chapter 7

The Scott family members scrambled backward in great fear as Jason walked closer to them.

They all nearly wet themselves, as Jason’s stare caused their hearts to pause.

Whether the person before them was a ghost or a clone, none of them could withstand the powerful aura that surrounded him.

Most especially, Timothy and Leah were utterly startled.

Jason expected the Scotts to have changed their ways.

The discussion he had caught them had made it clear to him that they had only become worse.

"Why are you all running away instead of executing the plan you have against me?"

The Scott family felt disappointed in themselves that Jason had already learned about the plot they had against him.

"You should hurry up and slaughter me now, because you will never get the opportunity again," Jason urged them.

William felt his ego challenged upon hearing that and responded angrily.

"Rubbish! Just say that you are looking for an easy way to die because you want to escape the trouble you have caused yourself today!"

Bernard regained his voice too and spoke up, "Escape what?! He severely harmed Mr. Kim Jnr; there’s no way he will escape the Kims' punishment!"

One of William's children smirked and said, "I believe you aren't under the impression that the Scott family will protect you from this problem, are you?"

William snorted. "Of course, he ran to us for protection. Unfortunately for him, I will have him seized right now and send him to Mr. Kim Snr to receive his punishment in full. Haha!"

Jason was disappointed in the Scott family, as they could actually think of themselves as saviours if he really ran into trouble—the same family that murdered him five years ago, destroyed his reputation in public, and stole his fast-growing company.

It was even more mind-boggling that none of them felt remorseful seeing him alive after they thought they had successfully killed him five years ago.

How much more heartless, thoughtless, and shameless could these people be?

They had all joined William, laughing stupidly, when Jason said to him calmly, "Go ahead and seize me now. Wasting time can be dangerous for you."

"Of course, yes! Do you think you can intimidate me with your bravado?!"

William marched up to Jason, but a terrific slap suddenly hit his face and sent him a few meters away.

A deep silence took over the room as the whole family watched the previously courageous William convulsing on the ground from the impact of the heavy slap.

They stared at him on the floor; none of them could move closer to him.

"Who else wants to give it a try?"

Jason asked as he turned to look at them, but fear was written all over their faces. No one dared to step forward.

"Nobody else?"

"Well, if there's nobody else, you all should listen to the information I have for you." Jason walked to the head of the table and began.

"I'm sure you all remember what happened five years ago, right? I am giving you this grace because I once lived under your roof."

"I give you 14 days to hand over the Jason Group to me. And then make a public post about everything that happened five years ago, without leaving any truth behind."

"Of course, you can go against my order, but be prepared to be wiped off the face of the earth."

The whole family was silent as they watched Jason give his speech. They dared not say a word back to him.

Then, Jason finalized, "You must be thinking of a better plot to end me completely this time around. Bring it all on; I will be waiting for you."

After giving them all one last deadly stare, Jason calmly turned and left.

Jason had already left when Timothy finally found his voice and shouted, "Stop there! Who said you can leave?! Do you think you can come here and say nonsense..."

"Will you shut your mouth?!" Bernard snapped angrily at Timothy.

"Why didn't you say all that to him when he was here?! If you hadn't adopted the foolish boy back then, would we be in this trouble now?!"

Bernard was scolding Timothy when William's children rushed to their helpless father on the floor to help him up.

Just then, they discovered something odd.

William couldn't move any part of his body.

Instantly, the children screamed at the rest of the family members, "Grandpa! Uncle Timothy! Please come and have a look at my father! It seems he has had a stroke!"

Huh?!

He had a stroke just from a single slap?

How powerful could such a slap be?

The whole family was almost colliding with each other as they descended into confusion.

Upon confirming William's condition, Bernard's heart suddenly leapt in fear as William began to gasp.

"To the hospital! Let's take him to the hospital! Quickly!" He screamed in panic.
