Chapter 6

Timothy’s face darkened further upon hearing that from his son.

He glared at him for a while before he hit the nail on the head.

"Of course, you are Jason's brother, and I know you have had your eyes on Bianca since the first day Jason brought her into this family. But have you asked yourself what the family would benefit from you marrying her?"

The raging John suddenly fell into silence as the question hit him.

"Other than the fantasy of wanting to have your way with your brother's wife, what else was the motivation behind why you want Bianca?"

Timothy asked his displeased son again, and the boiling John didn't know why he felt so calm suddenly.

He never expected his father to see through his tricks and tactics.

John was still in deep silence when his father said to him, "If you have no answers to these questions, I think it is best to explain why Mr. Kim Jr. is more eligible to have Bianca than you are."

Without waiting for anything else John had to say, Timothy left him behind and returned to the ceremony grounds.

John could only be mad at himself for failing to get Bianca. There was nothing else he could do.

Even though his mind was still set on her, he felt a bit of satisfaction that they were able to sell her off to the Kims to buy their family more fame and a higher reputation in society.

He was returning to the celebration grounds with little satisfaction when someone suddenly burst into the gathering and nearly fell on his face.

The ongoing celebration ceased immediately as attention fell on the person who had just darted in; it turned out to be their father, Bernard Scott.

He was panting heavily and sweating profusely as if he had just climbed out of a swimming pool.

Not only did he look terrified, but it was as if he had just escaped from a lion's den.

"Father, what happened to you?!"

"Are you okay, Grandpa?!"

The whole family gathered around Bernard immediately with great concern.

Bernard was still panting heavily as he struggled to answer them.

"Do I... do I look like I'm okay to any of you?"

The children turned to look at each other in confusion before William asked, "What is the problem, Father? What about the partnership you went for?"

Bernard hissed before he answered, "It was unsuccessful."

"What?!"

"Why was it unsuccessful?!"

"I don't want to believe the Kim family went back on their word after we made it easy for them to marry Bianca!"

The whole family was spilling their displeasure before Timothy shut them up.

"That's enough!"

"I doubt the Kim family would do such a thing. Allow Father to explain what the problem was."

The children's attention turned back to Bernard, who looked miserable.

He shook his head before he said to his children, "Does it mean none of you heard the news that Jason visited the Kim wedding ceremony to cause serious trouble and stole the bride?"

"What?!"

"How is that possible?!"

"How did a ghost come to cause trouble on earth?!"

The whole family screamed in great shock and confusion upon hearing the news.

They had killed Jason five years ago; how was it possible that he attended a wedding today?

The children were about to question Bernard further about how that was possible when the old man yelled at them in rage.

"Are you all really asking me those questions? I think you should ask William, who went to dump Jason's dead body into the sea!"

William's face scrunched in confusion. "Father, you were the one who pushed him down from the rooftop, and we all confirmed he was dead before I disposed of his body in the sea."

William couldn't understand why the blame was being shifted to him now.

The Scott family was in the middle of the misunderstanding when Leah suddenly raised a point.

"Did you all think it was really Jason who attended the wedding? What if it were a clone? The world is highly advanced now. Or what do you all think?"

They all fell silent upon hearing her point. They didn't know why it sounded so reasonable.

Just then, one of them said, "Could it be that one of the Scott family's enemies pulled such a trick behind the scenes to disrupt our partnership with the Kims?"

"Yes! I think that sounds plausible."

"It really sounds like the work of our enemies."

The family members gritted their teeth in anger upon coming to this realization.

Bernard was not yet convinced by the point until Sarah, Leah's daughter, suddenly saw a notification on her phone of a video causing a stir on the internet.

Upon opening it, she was shocked by what she saw.

"Take a look at this, everyone!"

They all gathered to look, and it was a video of Jason at the wedding ceremony hall, uprooting arms as if it were nothing.

The gruesome scene sent them all into a state of panic.

"I bet the person in this video is really a clone!"

"Of course! Jason is known to always avoid trouble. He could never visit the Kim's event to cause such havoc if he were the real one!"

Timothy's face frowned darkly as he came to a realization.

"I must say, the enemy behind this didn't just want to disrupt our partnership with the Kims. Didn't you all think we would be in big trouble if the Kim family held us accountable for the casualties caused at the wedding ceremony?"

Timothy had just said this when Bernard made it known to them:

"We are already in big trouble. Whether the troublemaker was really Jason or a clone, Mr. Kim has ordered us to bring him the person, or else we will face his wrath!"

"Ah!" The family had their hearts shattered.

They had thought their family would reach greater heights tonight after their partnership with the powerful Kim family. They never expected to get into big trouble with them instead.

The Scotts were all saddened by the trouble at hand. None of them had a clue how to improve the situation.

Just then, William put on a serious face and said, "We will find him. Whether it's the real Jason or a clone, we will find him and we shall get him."

All eyes fell on William in confusion as John questioned him:

"Do you already have an idea of how to find him?"

Given the martial arts skills the person they saw in the video possessed, they knew knocking down such a person wouldn't be a piece of cake.

William answered, "Of course, I have no idea yet. But does that mean we shouldn't make a move? Do you all know what the wrath of the Kims is like?"

They all sighed deeply at this sobering reminder.

They all knew the wrath of the Kims was not something their family could withstand.

William added, "Once we get him and Mr. Kim is done dealing with him, we will make sure we slaughter him this time, cut his body into pieces, and scatter his parts across four different seas."

Wow.

The Scotts were mesmerized by this brilliant idea.

"That sounds brilliant, William!

"I wonder how he would gather all his parts from different seas to join them together and return to life to cause us trouble in the future."

"That's right! That is how we will go about it."

The family had just reached their conclusion when they heard loud applause behind them.

Upon turning toward the direction of the applause, they all froze to see Jason walking in.

A dark smile appeared on his face as he praised them, "What a great plan you have just made."
