While everyone was busy fighting at the castle, at the underground, Mosse and his men struggled to find their way out. The plan originally was to dig a tunnel from underground to destroy the orbs and take the gold back out. They had thirty-six hours to do so.
Right now, they've exceeded that mark. Thirty-seven hours have passed already and they didn't see the end yet.
Everyone at the underground was panicking, “We’re stuck here. This plan won’t work and everyone up there will inevitably die!”
They echoed questions like, “What should we do?” and “Will we die here?”
It echoed through the tunnel they were digging for days now as it started to plant that feeling of fear, despair, and hopelessness in their hearts until it consumed almost all of them. Mosse realized this but he didn't know what to say.
Who is Mosse- someone immortal- to tell them that they wouldn’t die there? He’s the least qualified person to tell them that and it’s been an h
That may be all these- all that they have done here is for nothing after all. Meanwhile, as John and the rest of the villagers struggle to stand on their feet after that long digging at the lowest basement of the castle in hopes to destroy the orbs that allow the king to control everything and everyone in the forest and facing the king's elite army, Arwin and Timothy struggle at the battlefield with absolutely nothing to their advantage. Rosa and Gloin are barely keeping the airships up, with the manananggals attacking them mid-air with those hideous bat-like wings and half bodies. Their abnormally long tongue reaches for the airship's mechanisms breaking and tearing it apart, with Rosa holding everybody up in the air as they try to fix it and defend against the manananggals as well. Gloin runs to Rosa, all sweaty and exhausted, "Rosa, how much longer can you keep this up?" “Definitely not long!” Rosa replies, struggling down to her
Gloin’s juggernaut form finally broke down into pieces releasing a strong gust of wind slicing the mananaggal’s tongue into pieces. He swiftly moved to tear its wings apart causing it to finally fall down to the ground with broken bones like the rest. His form unlike the juggernaut before seemed stronger, faster, and is equipped with more mechanisms to support him in attacking. It’s the juggernaut form at 70%. Earlier his form was only around 40%. Being attacked by magical properties by their race’s sworn enemies the witches, it automatically evolved the dwarves’ juggernaut form. Back then; it was the witches only mistake- trying to destroy the juggernaut’s form only ended up with the witches losing that one battle. Every other race forgot about that legendary battle but not them. That battle is the defining event of both their races that they passed down from generation to generation. Gloin remarked upon flying to Rosa, “The mid-a
As the skies grew darker, the war continued with everyone else fighting for their freedom while Sinas and his men patiently awaited the signal at the dark side of the forest. Sinas sits comfortably played with a chess piece in his hand while watching the events at the castle as they unfolded via his crystal ball he stole back from the castle. Dylan paced back and forth impatiently. Sinas took notice of this and remarked, “Dylan, can you sit down, you’re making everyone else panic.” “Sinas, when are we going to attack? At this rate, Arwin- our only chance of getting out of this forest will die and they will lose!” Dylan protested against Sinas plans, “Are we really going to just sit and watch here?” Sinas took a deep breath and sighed, “And what difference would it make if we recklessly go out there and reveal our plans?” "We can at least provide them help. We’re not just talking about their freedom- if we beat the king, everyone else ear
The dark engkantos started to help the villagers fight off the creatures and the children of the forests. Timothy finished off his opponent by using the mallet and throwing it right off the bat as he quickly barged in for an attack right at the blind spot of his opponent. Then, Timothy kicked off the spear from his grip and head-butted him until he fell unconscious. Timothy grabbed the spear and finished his opponent off when suddenly with the spear in his hands, his bleeding stopped and he felt stronger. Timothy chuckled as he inspected the spear, he remarked, “Ah this must be one of those ancient weapons that remains loyal to its wielder, and within the death of its previous owner, I guess I’m its owner now.” “Hmm Mark, I suppose I’d win against one-on-one combat with you now with this spear.”. Meanwhile, Gloin with only two minutes remaining on his juggernaut form decided to transform his armor into a bomb and let as man
Rosa stopped Mosse from intervening as she grabbed Mosse's hands and protested, “Mosse, you have to trust that she has a plan! Arwin always does!” “I can’t just let her face the king alone! She almost died before and I saw just how powerful King Damon is!” Mosse tried to reason with Rosa. Timothy then instructed the rest of the villagers to ride the airship along with the gold they gathered from the castle, he added, “Get ready to flee. We either run or are free. Either way, go ahead and meet us by the border. Mosse, listen to me.” Mosse could not stay still so Timothy grabbed Mosse by his shoulders, squeezing it tightly as ever, Timothy said, "Mosse, you can’t let your emotions cloud your judgment. We all know that Arwin’s the only one who can match the king! It’s her fight and hers alone.” Rosa added, “Arwin will win. She’s using her own powers onto herself projecting her fears to the king, as the king stays unconscious and amplifying that f
Mark opened his all-white eyes while being possessed by King Damon, he laughed maniacally as he remarked to Arwin, “I guess fate hasn’t always been kind to you, Arwin.”Arwin brushed off her thoughts and prepared for her stance as she said, “I guess you’re right about that.”He’s never been so right. Arwin has been battling fate since she was born- she had to conceal her real gender to be given the same opportunities and chances she would get as a man.Fate is a tricky thing but Arwin never really believed in it, rather she questioned it and stood against its current.Arwin charged forward trapping Mark- King Damon once again with her red runes in attempting to gather back the raven’s power.Mark said in King Damon’s voice, “It’s futile, you’re not strong enough to take
Arwin saw herself just a couple steps away from the forest but surprisingly, she saw tall looming infrastructures before her with those clanking metals but somehow it isn’t the same as the one they had at the village. It isn’t powered by steam or anything like it. Arwin was fascinated by the beautiful blue and violet hues forming in the air with its crackling sounds. She almost touched it when suddenly a young woman who seemed to be around her age stopped her gripping her hands mid-air. The young woman spoke to her in a language Arwin didn't understand but to Arwin, the young woman seemed to be scolding her. Arwin said, “Who are you? Where am I?... What language are you even speaking?” The young woman’s face was shrouded by surprise. She was dumb founded at first but then, her face light up and she started to hold Arwin’s hands in a friendly way like a kid discovering an ancient toy from their parent’s chest. Well, in a way
Meanwhile, Rosa and Timothy, along with the rest of the villagers, found a nearby town to settle down. There, they were also welcomed by the same confusion and timeline-like Arwin. None of them could believe that it has indeed been centuries since the time they knew. Because of that, most of them were really bewildered by the way how things had changed from the time they had remembered it. The villagers could not help but stare at the different types of machinery that weren’t powered by steam or sunlight or anything else. They were baffled, at the same time cautious that such things would suddenly explode when an accident occurs. Everything seemed high-end. Like the fantasy world, most of them read as kids. Nothing made sense. Timothy spoke out in what seems to be an ancient language to the others, “What is this place? We just escaped from the forest and―” Just as he said, Timothy also tried to grab out of the people's hands as if plea
