Lorenzo, upon seeing the man’s act, impulsively wenr on his knees, and as he was about to bow to him too, the man looked up and exclaimed:
“Sir, are you trying to kill me? Why would you want to stain… yourself by… by—” he said, standing up as quickly as possible and helping Lorenzo to his feet. Lorenzo, still staring at him, asked in shock, “Sir, I don't know what this is all about, but please don’t get me expelled.” He cried. Lorenzo had no idea what was going on or happening; however, he felt that the person might somehow be associated with Evan and that his education — the most important thing — was on the line. The man looked at Lorenzo, puzzled. “No! No! Sir,” he said, gesturing with his hands to convince him. “I am not trying to get you expelled. On the contrary, I want you to come with me to meet someone very important. He sent me to bring you to him, sir,” the man said confidently. The man, whose name was Derek, kept his eyes locked on Lorenzo’s face. There was no doubt in his mind that this was the Lorenzo he had been searching for a very long time. Lorenzo looked at the man again, unsure of what to do. He had thought the call was from a scammer, but there was no way a man of this calibre would try to scam him—he had nothing to be scammed of. “You’re telling me that you’re not a scammer?” Lorenzo asked doubtfully. Although Lorenzo’s instincts did not feel uncomfortable around the man—in fact, he felt that whoever he was, he was genuine. “Yes, sir! I am not a scammer. Please come with me, Mr. Lorenzo. My boss has been waiting for you for so long.” Lorenzo looked at the man again. He didn’t know what to say. Barely forty-eight hours ago, he had found out his girlfriend was cheating on him, he got beaten, was threatened with expulsion, and now an expensive man with an even more expensive car wanted him to go with him? “In case you kidnap me, just know that I have no one to pay my ransom,” Lorenzo said sarcastically, though it sounded more like a warning. “Nothing of such, sir,” Derek said with a bow, then gestured for Lorenzo to follow him. Lorenzo walked toward the car, and Derek opened the passenger door for him. Judging by the interior, the car definitely seemed to be a new model—an extremely expensive one. Lorenzo had never seen anything like it, even among his wealthy classmates. Derek closed the door and ran to the driver’s seat before starting the engine. After two hours of driving, the car finally came to a stop in front of a mansion—or was it a fortress? Lorenzo’s jaw dropped as he watched the building loom into the sky. He had never witnessed anything so luxurious and majestic in his entire life. The towering gate looked as though it had been forged from pure gold, glowing with a brilliant, regal shine. At the center, the name “Byers” was carved in an elegant, sweeping style that commanded attention. Lorenzo was instantly captivated by the sheer opulence of the gate alone. If the entrance looked this imperial, he could only imagine what waited beyond. After several layers of advanced security checks, the car finally began to roll forward through the gates. And that was when Lorenzo’s mind went completely blank. Words deserted him. His tongue felt heavy. The sight before him was beyond anything he could have ever prepared himself for. Rising in the distance was a mansion so grand it looked like something crafted for a blockbuster film. Every inch of the property screamed wealth and power. Manicured gardens lined the pathway, filled with rare, exquisite flowers—some of which glowed under the moonlight as if sprinkled with stardust. In the center stood a magnificent fountain with a beautifully sculpted figure poised atop it. Water cascaded gracefully, shimmering beneath the moon’s glow, and Lorenzo found himself utterly mesmerized by the scene. He barely noticed that Derek had stopped the car; he was far too overwhelmed by the breathtaking estate surrounding him. Derek walked over to the passenger side and pulled the door open for Lorenzo to step out. Lorenzo slowly climbed out and looked at Derek, trying his best to conceal his anxiety. “Don’t worry, sir. This way,” Derek said, gesturing toward the massive mansion’s entrance before leading the way. As soon as Lorenzo entered the hallway, he couldn’t help but look around in disbelief at how luxurious everything was—the chandeliers, the floor, the walls, the paintings. Everything was beyond his imagination. They passed by several doors and fascinating objects lining the hallway. Finally, Derek stopped in front of a door. He looked at Lorenzo, and with complete seriousness, asked: “Are you ready to meet my boss?” Lorenzo looked at him, unsure whether to say yes or no. He just stared at Derek silently. “Once we open this door, you will be standing in front of my boss, sir. I hope you are ready.” Lorenzo gulped. He could hear his heart pounding in his chest. Who was this boss? And why did he want him?Latest Chapter
Chapter 42
Without saying another word, Derek pulled the boardroom door open, and Lorenzo stepped in. As soon as he walked in, his eyes landed on the board members. The moment they sighted him, every single one of them stood up abruptly and bowed in respect. Lorenzo walked forward calmly and took his seat at the head of the table before the board members slowly sat down after him. They had been waiting for a while to see whoever this “big client” was—someone bold enough to buy a collapsing company at such a high price. They had expected a well-known, middle-aged businessman like them, someone they were familiar with. Not a young, handsome man who looked no older than twenty-one. “Shall we begin?” Lorenzo broke the silence smoothly. Immediately, a senior secretary stepped forward and placed several documents in front of him before distributing copies to the others. There was a brief pause. Then one of the older board members cleared his throat, his eyes narrowing slightly as he studied

Today was Sunday, and he needed to get so many things done pertaining to his company.Without doing anything first, he headed straight to the pile of files on the table. The files were tall like a mountain, arranged in front of him.He wondered when he was going to finish them. He opened the files and began to meticulously read them one after the other, putting his signature on some while he discarded some that he didn't agree to.Some files involved projects that his companies were working on, which needed approval, while others involved executive decisions that only he had the authority to finalize.Lorenzo had gone three hours into the work before realizing it when his phone chimed. He looked over at his phone and saw Derek’s message.“Young Master, your grandfather would like you to visit his friend’s company.”As soon as Lorenzo read the message, he sighed. There it was again with another visit request.“And why should I vis

She looked at Lorenzo, and there was still a feeling of anger in him towards her.She knew he had every right to. Who the fuck cancels a date just like that? But she didn't have a choice; it wasn't her wish to cancel the date like that either. However, we are talking about Asher Lockwood, Asher the mad.“What did you just say?” Asher growled as he began to walk closer to Lorenzo.Monica instantly got between them, feeling scared. She knew better than to argue with Asher, and she didn't want Lorenzo to. If there was one thing people do not do, no one dares to go against Asher; he was very crazy— that crazy.Monica sighed. If only Asher could just leave them alone and let them walk away in peace without causing a scene here at the building. She didn't want Lorenzo to get tangled up with Asher. He did not know Asher; confronting him does not end well. It never en

He had overstretched his body the previous day from too much workload. He opened his phone and saw Derek’s message pop up on it: “Young Master, you still have five more companies to visit again today, so that would make 1% of your company that you have visited.”Lorenzo sighed. He had another five more companies to visit to make just one percent. When was he going to be free?“Noted!” he simply typed back at Derek.
