The Pauper is Hidden Heir

Chapter 9

Cesare sighed and smiled slightly. He was still folding his hands, only this time, his gaze was not only on Julie and Ricky but also on Jolie. He looked at them one by one until, finally, Cesare's gaze fell on Julie.

"I have been working very well and making the company grow very well." Cesare reminded Julie of that, but she folded her arms and looked away from him. Then Cesare spoke again, "I think I deserve half of your company."

Julie would have been furious to hear Cesare say that again. She immediately gave Cesare an angry look and said, "hey, you should realize that you're just a loser who can't do anything. How can you say you work well? You never even work right!" Julie rejected everything Cesare said. 

Of course, Julie didn't want to acknowledge Cesare's performance even though she knew that Cesare had been very influential in her company's progress. Julie also didn't wish Cesare to take anything away from her. She had just felt free after her grandfather's death, but Julie didn't realize that her grandfather had been foolish enough to declare that Cesare would get half of the company. Julie would not let that happen and would still fight for her own rights. 

Meanwhile, Cesare seemed to remain very calm in the face of Julie's attitude, which seemed very angry. He also only showed a cold expression on his face at this time. 

"I think he is very funny. He says proudly that he's doing a great job while every day Julie gets angry because he's the one who's always making mistakes." Ricky shook his head and stifled his laughter when he heard Cesare's words. "Even everyone in the office knows that." 

Everyone there nodded in agreement with Ricky's words. And, of course, that made Julie and Ricky smile sarcastically at Cesare. 

Julie looked back at Cesare. "Did you hear that? I don't think your presence here is very welcome. You shouldn't even be here. You've ruined my party. Hurry up and leave this place!" Julie, angry again, pointed towards the exit and looked at Cesare with fierce eyes, but Cesare still chose to stand his ground. 

"Julie, that's right. You shouldn't be here. You've ruined everything." Jolie chimed in with her daughter's words. She approached Cesare and spoke again, "I guess you really like to make trouble and fuss. You're a bad luck charm!" Jolie had some harsh words for Cesare.

Jolie had always hated Cesare so much that when she saw Cesare's unusual behavior today, Jolie disliked him even more. However, she still wondered why Cesare had suddenly changed and was not like before. 

Cesare was not affected at all by Julie or Jolie's words. He was still about and did not immediately want to leave because his coming to this place was not just to ask for his rights. Cesare ignored Jolie's anger and fixed his gaze on Julie. "I also came to tell you that you must make restitution because you sold me out," Cesare said that to Julie. "In fact, your attitude will get you in trouble with human rights law," Cesare explained in a voice that was cold but full of emphasis. 

Suddenly, Julie laughed very loudly. She even held her stomach and covered her laughing lips. "Do you think I'll be scared by your threats? I don't want to change a penny for you." Julie shook her head and laughed again, saying, "I think you're imagining things right now. Did you think that I would be scared of you? Everyone here knows that you are a useless person and do embarrassing things very often." 

This time, Julie no longer laughed. She gave Cesare another sharp look. "Stop pretending right now. And for that sale, you don't even have any evidence at all." Julie smiled bitterly and pointed at Cesare's face for a moment. "Look, I'll still be fine."  Julie spread her hands as if she was sure she would not have to deal with the law after this. After all, Julie knew that Cesare wouldn't be able to do anything without money. And Julie knew Cesare didn't have much money to fight him. 

"Yes, you're just talking without providing any evidence. You think we'll be scared by your threats? Everyone knows you're a loser. Stop talking so much because no one will believe you!" Ricky, who had been feeling very annoyed, also expressed his annoyance to Cesare. Ricky also gave him an angry look. 

Cesare smiled faintly, he faced him very calmly. At this time, Cesare put both hands in his pants pockets. After that, he walked closer to Julie. After they faced each other, Cesare raised one hand, touched Julie's shoulder, and shook his hand to clean the invisible dust on Julie's shoulder. 

"Hey, get your body away from Julie. She's my future wife!" Ricky gave a stern warning to Cesare, but Cesare ignored him. 

Cesare brought his face closer to Julie's ear and began to whisper, "if it weren't for me, the company wouldn't have grown and would have gone bankrupt." Cesare said something that shocked Julie, but there she was, still trying to act fine as if whatever Cesare said didn't affect her. 

Julie wanted to distance herself from Cesare, but quickly, Cesare held her by the shoulders and said, "I guess you didn't forget the mistake in the contract when cooperating with the Gillion family company." After saying that, Cesare immediately moved his body away from Julie and was seen smiling. 

Julie's chest was rumbling violently at this moment. Of course, she would never forget when she made a mistake in the contract with the Gillion family that cost her five hundred million dollars. And Julie delegated all of that to Cesare so that the one who bore the problem was Cesare. And Cesare then cleaned up the issue because he knew that Julie was incompetent. 

Actually, Julie wanted to be angry. Her hands were clenched into fists, but she felt wary of Cesare, who was now acting so insolent towards her. 

"No! Everything you said was nonsense!" Julie dismissed Cesare's words, which he whispered in her ear. Her face looked nervous, but Julie didn't want to admit that in front of Cesare or anyone else. 

Meanwhile, the people there were curious about what Cesare had said to Julie because they couldn't hear him at all. 

"Whatever you say can never change the facts." Cesare put his hands in his pockets again and said, "I'm very lucky that I've been able to own the company." Cesare paused his sentence as Julie looked back at him angrily. You should know that you don't have any skills now.

"Stop talking nonsense! Everything you say is not true. I will not hand over my company to you and I will not pay any compensation!" Julie spoke in a thunderous voice. She affirmed Cesare by pointing at his face. But Cesare just looked at Julie and smiled.

"In that case, you better get ready because the police are already here to arrest you and there will be no one to save you," Cesare affirmed to Julie and glanced at Ricky.
