Chapter 8

The attendant looked at Jimmy. "What should I do, sir?" she asked quietly.

"Please wait a moment," Jimmy said calmly.

Becky exploded. "Why are you asking him? Ask the owners of the card!"

The girls hadn't seen Jimmy hand over the card. They believed it belonged to the brothers.

"Ma'am, the card belongs to..." the attendant tried to say.

"Shut up!" Daniella cut in. "Did anyone ask you?"

The attendant's face turned red, and she wanted to fire back. But Jimmy raised a hand and shook his head slightly.

She swallowed her words and stayed quiet out of respect for him.

Sabastein finally recovered from the shock. He was the older brother, so he spoke first.

"Why do you suddenly want to be our girlfriends?" he asked. "And why do you think you're the owners of this card?"

"Weren't you the ones who mocked us a few months ago?" Jeffrey added. "When we suggested a triple date, since Jimmy was dating Mirabel?"

Becky and Daniella smiled. "Jimmy was the issue," Becky said. "We didn't want him anywhere near our friend."

"And we don't want him near our boyfriends either," Daniella added.

"Also, back then, you were still poor," she said. "But now that you've cashed out your trust fund, you can finally afford us."

The brothers looked at each other. They finally understood that the girls lived in a completely different reality.

The girls were only here for the money, not for love. The brothers wanted to turn them down right there, but Jimmy signaled for them to wait.

"Let them finish," he whispered. "This will be good."

Jimmy leaned back with his arms folded like he was watching a movie. Other customers had stopped shopping too, and they crowded around, whispering and holding up their phones.

"That brings us to our condition," Becky said. She cleared her throat and stood tall, like she was announcing a royal decree.

"First, each of us gets a monthly allowance of $100,000."

"Second, fancy dates every weekend in 5-star hotels," Daniella added.

"Third, weekly shopping of not less than $50,000 each."

"Fourth, you will clear all our debts, which add up to $130,000," Becky continued.

"And you will cover all our personal and school bills from now on."

"Finally, you will buy us items right now worth at least $1,500,000 each."

"Your total here is already over $3,000,000," Daniella explained. "That means you bought over $1,000,000 worth of items for your worthless friend."

"And he contributes nothing to your lives."

Silence fell over the store. Everyone held their breath, fighting to keep the laughter inside.

"Did they just ask us to pay them for being our girlfriends?" Jeffrey whispered to Sabastein.

The attendant was the first to break. She burst out laughing and covered her mouth, still holding the card.

Jimmy couldn't hold it anymore. He joined her, laughing and clutching his stomach.

Even the other customers couldn't hold back. Laughter spread across the store like fire.

"Are you two serious?" Jeffrey asked, wiping tears from his eyes.

The girls did a 360 turn to show themselves off. "Aren't we worth it?" Becky asked.

Sabastein scoffed. "Even if I had that money, I would give it all to charity."

"I wouldn't spend a dime on money-mongers like you."

"My parents died when I was 10," he continued. "I know what it feels like to be alone, and I know who stays when the money is gone."

"Jimmy stayed through everything. People like you only show up for money."

The words hit them hard. Their faces flared up with anger.

"You'll regret this," Daniella hissed. "Do you know how many guys want us?"

"We were willing to give you our bodies tonight," Becky snapped. "We have kept ourselves untouched."

"Isn't that tempting enough?" she asked.

"Keep your bodies," Jeffrey said. "Some of us want something real."

The brothers felt disgusted. They couldn't believe the girls would give themselves away for money and not for love.

But someone else thought the offer was very tempting. He was licking his lips.

It was Mr. Billionaire, who had been watching the whole drama from the side. He had turned his full attention to the girls the moment they started their 360 show.

"Please go away," Sabastein said firmly. "We are not interested."

Seeing that they were losing embarrassingly, Becky pulled close to Sabastein. She rubbed her chest against his arm and tried to seduce him.

Sabastein pushed her away like she was a hot iron. "Don't touch me!"

"We're not interested," Jeffrey said. "You're only here for money, and you'll do to us what your friend did to Jimmy."

The girls were visibly pained. They were desperate for this chance not to slip away.

Daniella tapped Becky and nodded toward the floor. They would go down on their knees and beg.

The whole store watched in disbelief as the two girls prepared to kneel.

But just as they bent their knees, a smooth voice interrupted them. "Ladies, ladies, ladies."

Mr. Billionaire drifted in, adjusting his sleeves. He asked why such beautiful women would beg small boys when a billionaire already had his eyes on them.

The girls froze. "Really?" they asked at the same time.

Mr. Billionaire chuckled. "I find you both very attractive," he said. "I would love to spoil you, if you're interested."

He smiled at them like a wolf looking at two rabbits.

Becky and Daniella couldn't believe their luck. Had the universe just reversed their fate?

They had seen him in the store and heard the whispers about him. But they never tried to approach him, because they thought they were far below his standard.

Now it seemed they had been wasting their time on small boys who didn't even have $100,000,000. What was tens of millions compared to one billion?

The girls quickly adjusted themselves and prepared to compete for him. But the four attendants rushed over before they could start.

"Sir, why did you turn away from us?" they cried.

Mr. Billionaire smiled coldly. "I'll call you if I ever need you," he said. "But for now, I have found far more attractive women."

The four attendants stood frozen like statues. Tears filled their eyes.

Becky and Daniella blushed deeply. Honestly, they were far more attractive than the four attendants, and Mr. Billionaire wasn't lying.

The four attendants were heartbroken. They went back to their duties and tried to call back the customers they had ignored.

But nobody wanted to work with them anymore. All the customers lined up at the 5th lady's desk.

They were scared. Losing their customers meant losing their commissions and tips, and missing their daily quota could cost them their jobs.

They went from customer to customer, begging them to come back. But nobody listened.

Meanwhile, Mr. Billionaire told Becky and Daniella not to fight over him. "I'm a billionaire," he said. "I can handle both of you."

"And if you agree to be with me, I'll take you to the Chancellor's party tonight. I'm a special guest there."

The whole store gasped. Even Jimmy raised an eyebrow.

It was strange that the man wanted both friends at the same time. But he was a billionaire, so who would back down?

"Yes!" they both screamed. "Yes!"

They would finally show up tonight as goddesses, on the arm of a billionaire.

Mr. Billionaire smiled and snapped his fingers. "Come with me, my queens."

"Give us one second," Becky said. "We need to take care of something."

They turned to the boys, who looked at them with mixed reactions. Then Becky slapped Jeffrey across the face, and Daniella slapped Sabastein.

The sound of the slaps echoed across the store. The brothers stood there with red cheeks and clenched fists.

"That's for rejecting us," Becky snapped.

"If you ever come within ten feet of us, we'll have you fed to Mr. Billionaire's dogs," Daniella warned.

"And if anyone at school hears that we begged you, you're finished."

"If you show up at the Chancellor's party tonight, Mr. Billionaire will make you serve his table!"

The brothers didn't say a word. They didn't want to offend Mr. Billionaire, and they were a little scared of him.

Jeffrey wanted to say something, but Jimmy gave him a quick look to stay calm.

Jimmy only smiled. He had sensed something strange about the man.

"Don't worry," he whispered to his friends. "That man is fake, and they will regret this soon."

Jimmy had been mocked so many times in the last two days. This time, he only felt amusement.

The girls looked at the brothers like trash. Becky glanced back with a smug smile, and then they walked away on Mr. Billionaire's arms.

Mr. Billionaire hadn't actually bought anything. The only item he picked was a $50,000 wristwatch.

One of the four attendants had offered to pay for it while they were fighting over his card. Then he dumped them all and left her with a $50,000 debt.

She was crying now. She couldn't pay for the watch, and she had no customers left to make money from.

Mr. Billionaire didn't even look back at her.

Jimmy turned to the 5th attendant. "Please proceed with the payment," he said.

"And add an extra $100,000 as a tip for yourself."

The lady froze. Tears filled her eyes.

It was the largest tip any attendant had ever received. She had only worked here for a month.

All the big tips and commissions usually went to the other four ladies.

Not only was she getting a $100,000 tip. She would also get a 5% commission on the order, since it was above $1,000,000.

All the orders she had processed since she joined had been less than $500,000 in total. She had only received 1% commission for all of them.

Her life had just changed. She covered her mouth and sobbed.

"Thank you, sir," she cried. "Thank you so much. You have no idea what this means."

The four other attendants watched with envy.

Jimmy felt happier about this tip than about anything he had bought. He knew exactly what it felt like to be looked down on and ignored.

"You're a good man, Jimmy," Jeffrey said. "Money hasn't even touched you yet."

As they gathered their bags, Jimmy turned to the customers lined up behind them. "Please tip her handsomely," he said.

They all agreed quickly. They had seen the bill, and it was five to ten times more than all of their purchases combined.

When the boys left, the four other attendants fell to their knees in front of the 5th lady.

"Please forgive us," they begged. "Help us with some money, or some customers, or beg our boss not to fire us."

Her sales record for the day had automatically made her their superior. The tables had turned.

Just as Jimmy and his friends stepped outside, a woman in her 30s approached them. She wore an expensive suit and carried herself with power.

She stopped in front of Jimmy and bowed deeply. "Young Master," she said.

Jimmy froze. Sabastein and Jeffrey looked at each other in shock.

Passersby stopped to stare. A woman in an expensive suit bowing to a boy in a torn hoodie was not something anyone saw every day.

"I am Donna Spells, your mother's personal assistant," she said.

Jimmy and his friends greeted her politely. "Good afternoon, ma'am," they said.

"Please, don't call me that," Ms. Spells begged. "I am your humble servant."

"Your mother sent me to personally deliver some cars to you and your friends," she said. "Just as she promised during your call earlier."

Jimmy still couldn't believe this was real. Yesterday he was alone, and today a woman like this was bowing to him.

"Cars?" Jeffrey asked. "Where are they?"

"Please follow me," Ms. Spells said.

They walked together to the parking lot. Ms. Spells stopped and pointed at 3 ultra-luxurious cars parked side by side.

The first was a matte-black supercar that looked ready to fly. The second was a white luxury SUV, and the third was a deep-blue convertible.

Each of them was worth around $20,000,000.

The boys' mouths fell open. Their eyes were bigger than the wheels of the cars.

But their excitement turned to shock when they saw who was standing beside them.

It was Mr. Billionaire. He was posing beside the cars like they were his own.

Becky and Daniella stood next to him, giggling. "Yes, they all belong to me," he bragged. "I own a hundred cars, but these are my favorites."

Becky and Daniella gasped and clapped. They took selfies with the cars.

"Is this guy serious?" Jeffrey whispered. "Those cars are ours!"

Ms. Spells almost jumped out of her skin. Her hands curled into fists, and her eyes burned with a cold rage.

What disrespect! A nobody was bragging about the cars Madam Levruff had sent for her son.
