Slap!

Albert Chester’s heart skipped a beat and he left in disbelief.

He immediately raised his head and turned to the President,he thought the President made a mistake.

The President was supposed to punish Jaden Reed but he slapped him instead.

 “President Connolly—”

Before he could utter another word,Zack Connolly slapped him twice more on both cheeks,causing him to fall to his knees.

He was instantly defeated.

At first,he thought it was a mistake but after being slapped thrice he knew he was the culprit.

Zack Connolly pulled him by his hair and helped him stand on his legs and berated him.

“How dare you insult a VIP customer like that? Are you courting death? Do you not love your life anymore?”

Hearing this,Albert Chester and Lucy Jones’s face turned pale.

A VIP guest?

Jaden Reed looks nothing less than a beggar.How could the president refer to him as a VIP guest?

Surely,President Connolly had mistaken him for someone else.

With this thought in mind Lucy Jone came closer and tried to defend her claims against him.

“I’m sorry,President Connolly,but I think you’ve mistaken this beggar for someone else.He’s no VIP guest but a street beggar with no dignity”

As soon as he said this,President Connolly slapped her harshly .

Lucy Jone wasn’t expecting the situation to turn out this way so she didn’t prepare herself in advance and simply landed on the floor after she was slapped.

As she fell down,she fell on Albert Chester in the process.

The middle aged man immediately pushed her off.

They both looked at each other in disbelief and wondered what they did wrong.

Unwilling to give up without an explanation Lucy Jones said,“President Connolly,this beggar is in the wrong,he should be punished for his actions but you are doing the opposite.What are my mistakes in this?”

“You still don’t know what your mistakes are? Beat her to a pulp until she realizes she was wrong!”

President Connolly angrily issued the order.

He was a dog who worked for the Reed  family for years. He was also a very powerful dog.

Ever since he had been appointed as the general manager of the major businesses of the Reed family including Hotel California , he became one of the most respectable icons in the city. When was the last time he was ever so panicked and anxious?

However, his panic was understandable. He had never imagined that the young master of the Reed  family would appear at Hotel California out of the blues, which was under his management..

Lucy was livid and wanted to  continue defending herself.

Then, she turned back at Albert Chester, her eyes full of horror. "This... how... how is it possible."

"Who is he?"

President Connoly’s  voice was trembling in fear and disbelief.

Everyone stared at him in bewilderment, stunned. The man who could easily shake the city  by simply stomping his feet had become so terrified and frightened that even his voice changed!

President Connolly quickly rushed towards him and bowed. "Young..."

Jaden  interjected immediately, "Mr. Connolly, some things are not suitable to be said out loud in public." 

President Connolly was shaking with jitters upon the statement.

'Oh, my goodness! I'm such a stupid dog!

Young Master's identity must be highly confidential, yet I almost called him out! If I offend the Young Master, it will be the end for me!'

Thus, he hurriedly changed the address but still spoke in a respectful tone, "Mr. Reed, welcome to Hotel California . Please follow me to my office for further discussion."

Both Lucy and Albert  were utterly stunned. She could not accept the fact but it had unfolded right in front of her eyes.

Who was this man  really? What was his real background? How could he make the big boss of hotel California bow before him like a lowly peasant? 

He wouldn't bear a grudge against her for her mockery, right?

If she could flatter him a little and get on his good side she might gain a lot too.

Lucy hurriedly put on a coy smile and said to Jaden  in a flattering voice, "Respected sir,welcome to hotel California . It's our honor you  visit us and it's also my pleasure. Please come in and enjoy your stay..."

She assumed that her compliments and gentle tone would make Jaden  forget her rude behavior towards him earlier.

Unfortunately for her, Jaden was not as kind as she thought he was.

President Connolly  gaped in surprise when he heard her bold statement.

She was really courting death now!

Next, President Connolly  glared angrily as he pointed at Lucy . he  was filled with wrath and fury.

“How dare you insult,Mr. Reed? he growled angrily as he swung his hand across her face.“ Did you get some of your bravery from a wounded lion? Do you want to die?”

Lucy knelt down on the ground, shaking in great fear as she cried out, "Mr. Connolly, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." Lucy was so terrified.

She was violently kicked away by President Connolly, who lifted his leg. 

She was violently kicked by Zack as he lifted his leg and exclaimed, "You ignorant b*tch!" as he did so.You're going to learn a lesson today about what it means to offend Mr. Reed.”

“Give her a good beating”, he yelled as he turned to face the security personnel. 

“Don't show mercy; smash that plastic face of hers and broadcast a warning to the whole city that whoever dared to employ her would mean they were competing with me, Zack Connolly!"

Lucy was very frightened.“I'm sorry, Mr. Connolly. Please pardon me, give me another chance and I won’t make a mistake in the future “ she pleaded hastily.

"Now you know that you're sorry, huh!?" Zack yelled as his face turned a fiery red color. “What earlier exhausted your brain? You have no right to arouse Mr. Reed’s anger . If it weren't for him, I would immediately kill you.”

Lucy's face was drenched in hot tears.

She crawled in front of Jaden while knelt on the ground and made a forceful bow.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Reed, I'm so sorry! Please, for the love of humanity, I beg you to have mercy!”

"Lucy Jones,but why did you insult me just now?" Jaden asked with a cold look in her direction.

"I was temporarily insane just now. Please pardon me; it's all because of my dirty mouth.”

"Unless I was attacked first, I wouldn't attack. You attacked me, so I won't ever spare you! You forced me to make a decision.”

Jaden then let out a shocked snort. "You stupid woman, take a dose of your own medicine!"

Angrily yelling, "B*tch!" If you bother Mr. Reed once more, I'll rip your mouth from your plastic face.get away from him!”

Lucy refrained from saying anything more. She sobbed vehemently as she knelt on the ground.

Jaden gave her no attention at all. He gave Zack a direct look before saying, "I want you to arrange a room for my stay; let's go to your office."

Zack took the lead and vigorously nodded. “Yes, Mr. Reed, kindly let me accompany  you.”

He turned to the guards before he walked away and yelled, "Teach her a lesson and don't stop without my order!"

“Yes,Mr. Conolly,”

The terrified guards nodded. They sprinted over to Lucy and Albert Chester, shoved them against the ground, and beat them mercilessly.

Jaden was oblivious to Lucy and Albert's constant cries for help as they stood behind him.

He was led away by Zack Connolly.
