The Prophecy: Battle for the ark of time

The journey begins

On entering the forest, a thick gray fog engulfed me in whole, I couldn't see or hear a thing, the whole place was a bit dark as the sun ray was barely able to illuminate through the thick dark fog. in that situation, the only thing I could do, was run,

After a long period of continuous running, I heaved a sigh of relief as I saw a light straight ahead, I continued running towards the direction of the light, until I finally escaped the fog,

As I escaped the fog, I turned around but found no one, even the fog was nowhere to be found, the only thing I saw were enormous trees and over grown bushes, my limbs felt like they would fall off, but I just couldn't stop there, I had to keep running to ensure survival.

On reaching a certain part of the forest, I stopped as I encountered a strange sound; the sound seemed to echo all over the forest, so I couldn't locate its source.

Sudden, a strange creature came out from within the bushes, it had two horns and its fangs were extremely huge, its claws were insanely sharp, just the sight of it, sent shivers up my spine.

"What! .... are you!" I stammered as I stumbled to the ground,

His eyes were as red as ruby and it was extremely huge, staring at him closer I was very certain, it was an ogre.

"Hahahaha, finally, after all this years, a human" he forced a laugh as he walked towards me,

"what brings you to this despicable forest" he added.

"I come in search of king's scepter" i replied.

"Hahahaha, the scepter, well then, you will just have to get past me" he salivated.

Suddenly, a spark of courage coursed through my mind, I instantly stood up, pulled my sword from its scabbard and went straight for the monster.

As I sprinted forward, I chanted.

"Sword magic; flaming sword" within that instant, the sword suddenly turned red, and I went straight for its neck.

"Kank!" the sword sounded as it broke upon contact with the beast neck, "What the hell are you?" I asked in confusion.

The beast then raised his hand, and sent it straight for me.

"Swuuuupp!" the beast claw sliced through midair as it went straight for my for neck, within an instant I leaped backward to avoid impact, In that moment, I realized the huge gap between us "I can't possibly defeat this monster, I have to escape" I quickly turned around and made a run for it.

"What! You're running away, well then"

He roared with a thundering voice and suddenly, dark flames possessed his claws and he struck the ground.

Within that instant, the ground began trembling as a large army of ogres crawled out of it and began chasing after me.

"What sort of magic is this" I asked as I continued along the forest, I ran as fast as I could, but it seemed hopeless, the more I ran, the more they gained on me, "At this rate I may not be able to escape"

Suddenly something flew over and landed right in front of me, "How do you still have this amount of magic even after summoning all those ogres"

"Hahahaha, this isn't the puny magic you humans possess, its dark magic, and have quite an unbelievable reserve of it"

"What! Dark magic, no wonder I couldn't harm you, why did you have to be the first monster I meet, and you even broke my sword"

The ogre then laughed again, "Thanks for the compliment"

Immediately, dark flames took hold of its claw again, but this time, his aura was even more intense, then..... He struck me.
