The Prophecy: Battle for the ark of time

Awakened

The moment he struck me, memories of my life flashed pass my eyes, I became even more determined to find the truth, but at this rate, it was all over.

I fell to the ground and slowly lost consciousness, my eyes became deem and I lost all my strength, the only thing I could see, was the red eyes of the ogre, till it all faded into darkness.

"Waahhh!" I screamed, as I sat up,

I looked around and found all the summoned ogres lying around lifelessly, I then turned to my side and found the ogre dead.

I immediately stood up completely astonished by what I had just seen, to my greatest surprise, I discovered that I was holding the sword which I couldn't originally pull out of its scabbard,

A strange feel of energy coursed round my body, it was like nothing I have ever felt before, I felt so...... powerful.

The event that had transpired while I was unconscious was a mystery to me, there was no trace of injuries on my body, it was rather strange, in a short while, I continued my journey into the forest,

After a whole day of traveling aimlessly, I discovered an old looking cottage.

"Is it possible to build a house in such a dangerous forest, something feels off about this" i thought.

On entering the house, I tilted my sword forward in other to defend myself against any sudden attack.

Walking through the rooms, I felt a strange feeling "Hello... hello is anyone home!" I asked.

As I spoke, the house echoed my voice all through the rooms; this seemed weird because furniture's were still in it.

I wailked around the rooms but found no one; I then decided to sit down on a soft looking cushion which was right in the center of the room.

As I was about sitting down, I saw a man strapped with chains, and hanged beside the wall.

"What happened to you, why are you here" I immediately stood up, ran towards him and with a single slash, I broke the chains.

"Huff! .....huff! I thought I was dead for sure" the man said.

"What's your name and how did you end up here" I asked curiously.

"its Jason, how I ended up here, is long story; I rather we get out of here first, that beast might still come back" he replied.

"Ok"

As we were running out of the house, I led him to the door; I was just about to step out when I felt a sudden sharp pain from my back,

I quickly turned around only to find Jason with an odd smile, he then pulled out something from behind me, I looked at his hands but found them to be claws,

"Jason, no..... You're not human, what are you" I asked in extreme fright.
