Chapter 57: Planned attack
In a tall building, a muscular man lay on the floor, his eyes focused on the binoculars attached to the gun set up in front of him.

"There they are," he whispered to himself, smiling and chewing gum joyfully while nodding to the beat of the music playing through his earphones. "Easy mission; thought the targets would be more challenging."

A minute later, he positioned himself again, getting a clear view of his target.

Pow!

He pulled the trigger with a smile, already envisioning success.

But his smile froze as nothing happened; the bullet missed his target.

Confusion clouded his face.

"What? How's that possible?" the attacker asked himself, confused, as he looked through the binoculars, which he could no longer see the target as they had gone into hiding after the miss.

"Sh*t, did I miss? No, I've been doing this for too long to miss easily," he thought, finding it strange.
