Chapter 6.

Olivia Vatican trembled with rage and humiliation.

She was the CEO of Vatican Pharmaceutical.

The balding man before her, Dr. Shaun, was someone the Vatican family had spared no expense to invite.

A legendary physician renowned across the region, he had been brought in with the hope that he could cure Lord Leonardo Alessandro.

Even if the treatment failed, as long as he made a genuine attempt, Vatican Pharmaceutical, and the Vatican family as a whole, would gain a decisive advantage when competing for the major pharmaceutical contracts under the Alessandro family’s control.

It could even open the door to a direct relationship with the Alessandros themselves.

The Vatican family was wealthy, but still a rising power with shallow roots, ranked below the city’s eight true giants.

If they wanted to climb higher, the backing of the Alessandro family was absolutely crucial.

Yet who could have imagined that Dr. Shaun, so compassionate and benevolent in public, a saint in the eyes of the world, was nothing more than a greedy, lecherous hypocrite in private.

He had already pocketed the Vatican family’s generous consultation f*e.

And yet, the moment he arrived in Vancouver City and laid eyes on Olivia, he brazenly demanded that she sleep with him.

She had, of course, refused such an insult.

The rejection was all it took.

Dr. Shaun hadn’t even paused before turning to Vatican Pharmaceutical’s rival, Johnson Pharmaceutique.

Now, he had gone so far as to have Erik Johnson arrange her capture, all to force her to submit to him.

Like the Vatican family, the Johnsons were also a rising family with shallow foundations.

Securing a legendary doctor like Dr. Shaun was no easy feat, especially when money meant nothing to him and his only obsession was women.

To win him over, the Johnson family spared no effort.

And Erik Johnson, eager to please, carried out every one of Dr. Shaun’s demands without question.

That was how the four men ended up surrounding her here.

Realizing this, Olivia clenched her teeth and snapped coldly, “A shameless, corrupt man like you doesn’t deserve to be called a Legendary Doctor.”

But the angrier she grew, the more delighted Dr. Shaun became.

Women like this only fueled his desire to conquer.

He leaned in, close enough that Olivia could feel his breath against her skin.

“Come on, darling,” he murmured, lifting her chin with one finger. “Be grateful. Not everyone gets the honor of being wanted by someone like me.”

Olivia flinched and recoiled, biting back her disgust.

Dr Shaun burst into cruel laugh, loud and grating, his yellow teeth flashing in the dim light.

“Mr Erik, please escort our beautiful CEO to my room,” he then ordered, his voice low and eager.

“Once I finish treating Lord Leonard Alessandro under your family’s name, I’ll deal with her personally.”

“Oh, and this,” he added, pressing a small bottle into Erik’s hand. “Make sure she swallows it.”

“By the time I’m back, she won’t be acting so high and pure anymore.”

As if imagining something deeply pleasant, Dr. Shaun let out a slick, leering chuckle, his eyes sliding back to Olivia, dark with hunger. “More like a slut, I’d say.”

Erik’s face lit up.

As long as Dr. Shaun treated the patient under Johnson Pharmaceutique’s banner, the Johnson family would gain a foothold with the Alessandro.

“No problem, Dr. Shaun. I’ll see to it myself.”

At his signal, two bodyguards stepped forward.

Strong hands clamped down on Olivia's arms.

Panic surged through her as she struggled violently, her heart pounding with raw fury and fear.

“Let go of me!" she shouted, but their grip only tightened.

"Fuck you," she spat desperately, glaring at Dr Shaun who was now leaning casually against a luxury GLE.

Dr Shaun let out a low, sinister chuckle.

"Careful with that mouth, sweetie. That's exactly what I will be doing to you soon.”

“You’re delusional!” Olivia shot back, her voice shaking but unyielding. “I would rather die than let you have your way!”

Dr Shaun didn’t care in the slightest.

Instead, he stepped closer, gripping her face roughly as he flashed a mouthful of yellowed teeth in a vile grin.

“No one can stop me from fucking you,” he sneered. “As long as you’re breathing, I can keep you alive and run my hands all over you, however I please.”

He leaned in and whispered, his voice dripping with malice, “And even if you don’t survive... that won’t stop me either. Your lips and curves will still be soft enough. I won’t mind fucking a dead beauty, you know?”

A chill ran down Olivia's spine, making every hair on her body stand on end.

She knew all too well what awaited her if she fell into this man’s hands, yet there was nothing she could do to stop it.

Such a monster, hiding behind fame, wealth, and status.

She couldn’t bear to imagine how many women had already been ruined by him.

Just as despair threatened to swallow her whole—

“Let her go!”

His presence commanding, Adam strode down the corridor. He stopped before the door to the top suite.Inside, he could hear the murmur of voices—laughter, clinking glasses, the buzz of a crowd drunk on anticipation. The Black family's friends, relatives, and business partners, all eager to bask in the reflected glory of the mysterious Mr. Adam.Adam knocked. Inside, heads turned toward the door. Zara's face lit up with unbridled delight."It must be Mr. Adam!" she exclaimed, practically skipping toward the entrance. She smoothed her dress, patted her hair, and composed her features into what she hoped was an expression of elegant welcome. She pulled open the door. And froze. Her eyes went wide, first with confusion, then with shock, then with something far uglier. Disgust, pure, undiluted disgust."What are you doing here?" she demanded, her voice rising to a harsh screech.Adam didn't answer. He simply stepped past her into the room, his gaze sweeping over the gathered crowd until

Maya, however, laughed shamelessly."Proud?" She tossed her hair back, her eyes glittering with unrepentant malice. "Why shouldn't I be proud? Let me explain something to you, Adam—not just any random man can sleep with us. We have standards. Standards that lowlife trash like you couldn't even begin to meet."She stepped closer, her voice dropping to a venomous whisper."You aren't even worthy of looking at us. Pathetic losers like you would beg for a lifetime and never get what you want." Her lips curled into a cruel smile. "Maybe you'd have better luck with a goat. Or a pig. At least they're closer to your level."Adam's gaze sharpened. His jaw tightened almost imperceptibly, but otherwise, his expression remained calm.He had spent years enduring this woman's poison. Years swallowing his rage because he believed, foolishly, blindly, that loving Tracy meant accepting her friends. No longer, Adam moved. It wasn't a punch or a slap, something far more precise. His hand flashed out, a

Adam had spent the afternoon preparing, not with expensive suits or designer accessories, but with careful attention to detail. A simple, well-fitted shirt. Comfortable trousers that moved with him. A fresh haircut that sharpened his already striking features. When he finally stood before the mirror in his small house, he barely recognized the man staring back. His features had always been strong, bold brows, bright eyes, a jaw carved with clean angles. But years of exhaustion, of driving endless hours to support a woman who never appreciated him, had worn him down. Dull eyes, hunched shoulders. The defeated posture of a man who had given everything and received nothing in return. Now?He looked every bit the man he should have always been. He turned sideways, studying his reflection. In the past, he had been too busy working, scraping together money for Tracy's endless demands—to care about his appearance. What was the point? She never looked at him anyway. Not really.Compared

The Mr. Adam. Yes, that one. You should come. Bring your business cards. You never know who might need a contractor."Tracy invited her closest friends, the ones who had cooed over her pregnancy, who envied her connection to the Max family. The Black family arrived at Crystal Hotel an hour early. They swept through the lobby like conquering heroes, heads high, chins lifted, drinking in the envious g

Jaxson gripped Luca's arm with both hands, his weathered face creased with profound gratitude. "Luca, my boy," he said, his voice laced with emotion. "Without you, the Black family would be at a dead end. You've saved us. You've truly saved us."Zara nodded vigorously, dabbing at her eyes with a tissue. Fresh tears, these ones of joy…streamed down her cheeks."To think," she sniffled, "if Tracy had met you earlier, she wouldn't have had to suffer all those years with that useless Adam. Wasting her youth on a nobody when she could have been with a real man."Luca waved a casual hand, though his throat still ached with every swallow. "We're family now. No need for formalities." He pulled out his phone, his confidence returning with each passing second. "Let me call my father. His face hardened and fixed Titan with what he hoped was a commanding stare."I don't care about any of that," Luca said, his voice rising with forced authority. "You introduced Kai. You vouched for him. That makes you responsible. The Black family lost millions of dollars because of your connection. You will compensate them. End of discussion."Titan's eyebrows rose slightly. For a moment, he simply stared at Luca as though the man had grown a second head. Then he laughed."Luca," Titan said codly, "are you talking down to me? Demanding explanations? Issuing ultimatums?"Luca, blind to the shift in Titan's demeanor, pressed on. His ego, wounded by the earlier dismissal, demanded reassertion."That's right. You introduced him. You're accountable. The Max family has standing in this city, and I have every right to hold you responsible for—"He never finished the sentence.Titan moved. It wasn't fast—it was unhurried, almost lazy.
