Chapter 5.

“Why did they have to push me to death? How could she be so vicious, so cruel? Why let that Luca go after my parents and my sister too? Why?!”

Adam stormed out of the house, jaw tight, fists balled so hard his knuckles turned white.

He thrust his arm up, flagged a taxi down and climbed in.

"Crystal Hotel.," he said, his voice low and edged with fury.

The driver gave a quick nod, started the engine, and pulled into traffic.

Inside the car, Adam clasped his fist together, forcing himself to suppress the madness and violent rage surging through his chest.

His heart burned with bloodthirsty hatred for Tracy and Luca—hatred so intense that, in his mind, they wouldn’t even be granted the chance to regret it.

“The accident wasn’t an accident. I drugged your coffee.”

“I’ll have those two old wretches and your sister brought here. They’ll work for my family for the rest of their lives. Scrubbing floors. Bowing their heads. Living like slaves and dogs.”

Their voices wouldn’t stop.

Every cruel word replayed over and over, mercilessly tearing at his mind.

Just then, the car radio cut in with a sudden news bulletin, yanking Adam out of his blood-soaked fury.

“This is a breaking report from CBN News. The current Earl of Vancouver, Lord Leonardo Alessandro of the Alessandro family—is in critical condition."

“His son and current family head Clinton Alessandro, has publicly invited renowned medical experts from all around the nation to attempt a cure.”

“We will continue to follow developments closely, including any impact on the Alessandro family’s long-standing charitable medical work. We pray for Earl Leonardo Alessandro’s swift recovery.”

Adam’s brows slowly drew together as he stared out the window, his thoughts racing.

The Alessandro family was no ordinary force.

They were not only global tycoons, but also a collateral branch of royalty, titled nobles whose influence in Vancouver City was so vast it could blot out the sky.

Old Leonardo Alessendro himself was more than just the Earl of Vancouver.

He was also one of city’s most renowned philanthropists.

Year after year, he poured enormous sums into charity, supporting the homeless, orphans, and the sick.

Half a year ago, there were even rumors that the family had built a massive private hospital dedicated solely to providing medical care for ordinary citizens.

As the scenery blurred past the window, Adam’s breathing gradually steadied.

Killing Tracy and Luca outright would be far too merciful.

He wanted them both to suffer.

Only then would his hatred be satisfied.

But the Max family had risen by clinging tightly to Alessandro's influence and power.

Whereas, Adam had nothing. No status. No backing.

Going after Luca Max head-on would be like throwing an egg against a stone.

If he wanted real revenge he had to think logically, not emotionally.

And now…

He had just seen an opening.

What if he saved old Leonardo?

Wouldn’t the Alessandro family owe him a favor?

And when that day came, wouldn’t Tracy and Luca be completely at his mercy?

As the car rolled into the Royal Hotel parking lot, Adam paid the fare and stepped out, his brain still racing, calculating how he could possibly get close to Leonardo Alessandro.

With his current status and standing, he likely wouldn’t even be allowed past the gates of the Alessandro estate.

Suddenly, raised voices from his right made him turn his head.

Four men had cornered a woman near an exit, trapping her against the wall.

She was dressed in a sharp black pantsuit, her dark hair spilling loosely over one side of her face.

Her skin glowed, and her figure was beautifully curved—one glance was enough to make anyone think: what a stunning beauty.

But now, that stunning woman looked disheveled, on the brink of being assaulted.

She kept her chin lifted, fury hardening her features as she glared at the four men.

Still, Adam caught the quick flash of fear in her eyes.

He hadn’t planned to interfere.

After all, he didn’t know how the situation had started.

But the next moment, their words made him stop.

“Olivia Vatican,” one of the young men sneered, “are you sure you don’t want to get in the car? Or should we drag you in?”

The stunning woman shot back coldly, “Get out of my way, you shameless scum.”

At that, a balding middle-aged man lounging against a luxury car finally spoke.

His eyes lingered greedily on her chest, his voice dripping with lewd menace.

“Olivia, if you agree to have sex with me,” he said lightly, “I might still consider stepping in to treat the Earl of Vancouver on behalf of the Vatican family. How about that?”

Olivia stood by the edge, a glass of champagne in her hand, her face tilted toward the sky. Adam stood beside her, his hands in his pockets, his eyes on the horizon. "We did it," Olivia said. Her voice was quiet, almost surprised. "We actually did it." Adam nodded. "You did it." Olivia turned to look at him. "I couldn't have done it without you." "You could have. It just would have taken longer." She laughed, a real laugh, not the polite one she wore to board meetings. She set her glass down on the ledge and hugged him. Adam stood still for a moment, then hugged her back. "Thank you," she whispered. Adam pulled back, looked at her face. Her eyes were wet. "Don't thank me yet. We still have to clean up the mess she left behind." Olivia picked up her glass, took a long sip, and stared out at the city. “When are we starting?” She asked. Adam d

Chapter 160 Adam walked out of the building. The mob pressed against the gates. “We want justice!” “We want justice!” “Poor man life matters a lot!” Banners waved and stones flew. Glass shattered somewhere to his left. He did not flinch. He walked to the gate, pulled it open, and stepped outside. The crowd surged forward. Then stopped. They recognized his face. "Mr. Cole!" a woman shouted. "Where is she? Where are the owners of this company?" Adam raised his hand. The crowd fell silent. "This company had nothing to do with her crimes. The board voted her out this morning. She no longer holds power here." Murmurs rippled through the crowd. A man stepped forward, his face hard, his hands stained with dirt. "Then who pays us? Who gives us back what she stole?" Adam met his eyes. "She will." The crowd stirred, voices rose. Adam raised his hand again. "I give you my words, I will make sure every single one of you gets your rights. Give me one week. One week, an
