Chapter 4

Daniel's face blasted in anger as he turned to look at the old man, “Hey, old man. What do you mean by I stink? Don't you know how to talk to someone?” He shot at him.

There was a shocking expression on both Brown's face and the old man's face. The reason why Brown was shocked was that he had always been rude to Daniel, and he had never in any time talked back to him the way he just did.

The old man angrily got up from his seat, “How dare you call me an old man? Do you know who you're talking to?” He asked, fuming at Daniel.

“Who do you think you are? You just insulted me, and you want me to remain calm?"

The old man chuckled, “You don't know me and you dare raise your voice at me? Haha. For your information, I'm Nicholas Andrew, one of the members of the Blackstone Group.”

Galp! Daniel was startled. Who in Sandalwood hadn't heard about such a powerful group called Blackstone Group? They were the most powerful and popular company in the whole world, and even companies within and outside the countries partnered with them.

Nicholas, after noticing the shocking expression on Daniel's face, smirked. He knew Daniel was afraid, so he further said, his voice filled with authority, “Now, bow your face to the ground at my feet and apologize!”

Brown, who had been silent finally shouted, adding, “You stinky fool, don't you hear what he just said? Do it now or get yourself rot in jail!”

Daniel slowly shook his head, his body vibrating slightly. How can I apologise to a rude arrogant man when I did nothing wrong? He muttered to himself.

“You have just but ten seconds to apologize or get yourself beaten up by my bodyguards,” Nicholas said, his expression cold.

Boom! Michael's heart began to beat faster. He quickly remembered the fierce men who were all in black suits in the garden, which he had ignored when he was coming in.

He knew that if Nicholas happened to call them, then he'd be dead. But then another thought crept into his mind, ‘What happened to his right? Will he just allow this old man to trample on him just because he's rich and him poor?’

“No! I can't do it just because he's rich!” He muttered and looked up to Nicholas with a furious look, “I'd rather die than bow before you!” He spat and with a swift move, he pushed Nicholas forcefully to the ground and raced out of the office.

“Chase him!” Nicholas groaned in pain as he shouted. "He mustn't escape!"

Brown raced after Daniel leaving Nicholas in the office. “Catch him, don't let him go. Catch him, don't let him escape!” Brown was shouting, hoping someone might get hold of Daniel before he would escape from the surrounding.

Downstairs, Daniel ran faster and passed the hall where customers had already filled and were eating.

“What's that? Is he mad or something? Who's chasing after him?” Murmuring filled the air as all customers frowned their faces, feeling annoyed, disrespected, and uncomfortable.

At that same moment, Noah, Alexander, and Victor were busy serving the customers when Daniel raced past. Noah and Alexander began to laugh, “Haha. That fool has caused trouble again.” They said in unison.

Meanwhile, a worried expression etched on Victor's face, “What has he done this time around?” He mumbled, and his concern appeared palpable.

Suddenly, a loud, angry voice came out, overpowering the murmurings that had filled the air. It was that of Brown, “Hey, bodyguards, run after him and catch him!”

Immediately, the men in suits heard it, and all of them ran after Daniel, who had already made his way outside.

Within ten minutes, the men arrived back, “We're sorry, sir. We couldn't catch him.” They announced with a bow.

Instantly, a sluggish movement was heard coming downstairs. That was Nicholas.

“What's wrong with you, sir? Are you okay?” The men rushed him, helping him. Their faces were filled with anger as they realized that the young man who had just run out must have been the cause.

Because they had seen him go upstairs.

Slap! Nicholas furiously slapped the three of them as he yelled at them, “Fools, you all are so stupid to have let that fool like you all escape.”

“We're sorry, sir. We didn't know this is what he did to you.” The men apologized in unison with their knees on the ground.

Furiously, they got up and approached the waiters and waitresses who were working there. As the waiters and waitresses saw them approaching, their bodies began to vibrate vigorously.

Their hearts ponder in their hearts at the sights of the men.

“Who among you is a friend to that bastard who dared hurt our master?” The leader asked, looking so fierce. His fist was already clenched ready to strike.

Quickly, all fingers were pointed towards Victor. “He's his tight pal.” They all echoed, their voices trembling in fear.

The three men turned their fierce looks towards Victor, who out of fear, slowly began to shake his head, “I'm…I'm…” His voice was cracking, and the bladder's muscles increased, which instantly caused it to pour out urine on his trousers.

Noah's and Alexander's frightened expressions turned to amusement. “He urinated in his trousers. Haha.” They laughed sarcastically in tones.

On the other hand, the three men ignored the urine as they kept on approaching Victor. Victor was busy moving backward; he knew he was too fat to even run, so he didn't bother thinking about such a moment.

Before he could stammer another word, the three men jumped on him and began to throw hard blows on his face.

“Help me! Help me!” Victor was shouting, his voice filled with emotions that moved the customers there but no one dared intervene. They were all afraid of the men.

By the side, Nicholas stood and watched with a cold and satisfied expression even though he knew Victor wasn't the one who pushed him down.

“He's his friend so he deserves whatever he's getting now.” He said with a smirk. Just then, his phone began to ring.

Seeing the caller ID, he picked up immediately, “Alright, sir. I'm coming right away.” The call abruptly ended. He raised his head and shouted with an authoritative voice, “It's okay. That's enough for now. Leave him and let's go!”

Daniel raised his eyebrows at Joanna, “Keep me company? What do you mean by that?” He asked, almost sounding rude. He wasn't sure whether to feel suspicious about her choice of words. Joanna shifted uncomfortably, tucking her black long strand hair behind her ear, “I didn't mean to sound….improper,” she clarified politely, her voice breaking. She was about to continue, but Daniel interrupted, his patience already thinning, “....sorry, but I don't need anyone's company. I'm okay
