CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED & SIXTY-SEVEN

Silence engulfed the room as Adam stood there looking at the old man, the old man who was his mentor, who had taught him everything he knew today.

The duo disengaged from their embrace whilst smiling at each other, Adam couldn't help but smile at the old man even though his head was churning with questions,

‘What’s old man Thompson doing with this man?’ He questioned himself silently as he twisted his fingers. He fixed his gaze on the old man as though he wanted to be sure if he was really the one.

“Hmmm,”

Old man Thompson hummed, breaking the silence in the room,

“Adam,” he called out.

“You are a man of strong personality so I know you made the right decision,” He paused and took a deep breath,

“It’s like standing between the moon and the sun, one is very hot and the other one seems just normal but holds the substance of life. You lean on one to get the day and the other one to get the night, they’re contrasting but extremely important”.

“Right!”
