“Heh, she’s going to cough and bleed to death,” Gray snickered.

As the blue gas swiftly filled the room Sheryl was in, she waved her arm.

Many fascicles of leaves flew about in the room, and the density of the gas lowered pretty fast.

Gray’s eyes swelled wide open. “I-Impossible. She’s absorbing the poisonous gas with the leaves.” She quickly frowned. “What’s more, the leaves don’t seem to be changing color, which means they’re immune to poison. This is one sick ability. If she’s capable of this, what more can she do?”

Borg was watching this on a projected screen. He removed his armor suit and folded his sleeves. “I will handle her, but be prepared for collateral damage.”

“I will do my best to increase the defenses, Borg,” Gray was saying, but just then she received a red alert.

The movement of the turtle monster changed.

Gray, Borg, and Sheryl felt it without even having to read any messages.

“Why is it heading to the surface?” Gray was utterly confused. “Did Green Fang do this? How

Denver and Catherine were outside Rose Tower.“It’s taking quite long. I’ll be right back,” Denver told her and went into the tower.“Take your time in the toilet, love,” Catherine laughed. “I’ll be waiting.”Denver smiled and just shook his head.Moments later, Alex brought a white horse carriage. It was quite beautiful to look at with all the silver and gold and jewels studded everywhere.“Whoa, we asked you to bring a horse, and you brought this?” Catherine’s eyes lit up. “Not that I’m complaining!”She quickly got onto the carriage and drove it around.“Be careful. I got it for rent,” Alex warned her. “If something happens to the cart or worse the horses, we’ll be forced to pay a truck load of money.”“I’ve got it,” Catherine assured him while having fun driving the cart in circles around Rose Tower.Alex watched nervously, hoping nothing would go wrong. “I have to get back to practicing the Directional Arts, but I can’t help but worry about the horse cart.”A minute later.Denver

Hours passed. As usual, another morning came with fresh promises and warnings. The news of Tyron’s defeat spread throughout Hawk Park.It became big news because Tyron was a top ranker who had established himself very much in the past five years.Nobody expected him to lose his career this way.At the same time, people also talked about the port opening event held by Denver. Some video footage circulated, which showed snippets of the event that happened, but no video showed Denver’s speech.Only a few people in Hawkers managed to find out what exactly happened at the event.Philip held a funeral for Shamsi and other workers of Data Tower that were killed last night. At Shamsi’s grave, he made a promise that he’d build another grave at Shamsi’s feet and throw Borg in it.Philip really took this as a challenge.Finding Borg might be impossible for others, but Philip was the head of the Data Tower. He had the greatest chance of finding Borg compared to other siblings.Even if that weren’

On Mount First.Four people brought Tyron to the base of the hill. “Why did you stop?” Tyron said. “Keep going.”However, they did not dare to take him up the hill. They left him there and ran away.Tyron yelled in fury, but then regretted it because his whole body hurt.He had paid them a lot of money to have them bring him over. He didn’t think they’d abandon him midway.Even though he had limbs, he was not able to rely on his arms or legs. He couldn’t even muster aura, so he wasn’t sure if he could climb the hill himself. But when Denver’s face came to his mind, he gnashed his teeth quite hard. With reddened eyes clouded by rageful tears, he forcibly used his chin to climb up the hill. His pace was slower than a snail, and he bled from the chin, but he didn’t stop. His eyes were fixated on the top of the hill.He wanted to get there no matter what.Soon, all the rocks and the trees around him came to life and surrounded him. They didn’t attack him, probably because they didn’t per

  • CHAPTER 433

In the council grounds, competitions are taking place for the entertainment of the council members.Forty men are fighting against a big gorilla which brutally killed most of them. The council members, most of whom were mothers of rankers, thoroughly enjoyed the bloodshed. The men fighting in the arena were of all ages, from teens to the elderly.A different kind of thrill was experienced when these men were destroyed in different ways.Bodies getting bashed to the ground.Heads getting smashed to bits.Bets were placed on how a certain man would die.Natalia was also watching the event and remembered how she picked two members of her special slave squad from the people who survived fighting in the council’s arena. She had trained them well, but in the end, they all died pathetically.“I wanted to have my own little army like the king has his own personal royal knights,” Natalia thought. “I put so much effort in those five, and they did get a lot of things done for me, but if I knew t

Serena returned to Golden Tower. All her teammates were unconscious, but they were still walking about because she was controlling their bodies down to muscular level.Serena stopped outside the tower because Lily was waiting for them.“You returned empty-handed?” Lily seemed disappointed. “I wasn’t expecting you to fail. If you had gone out of your way to fight them, you should have made sure you at least ruined one of their careers.”“I did damage Green Fang’s arm,” Sheryl responded. “As long as her ability doesn’t help her, her nerves won’t recover fully. She won’t be able to use her right arm well. Also, I inflicted some damage on Denver’s girlfriend. Denver himself seemed injured. His right arm wasn’t in a good condition.”“Then why do I smell him on you?” Lily asked. “Did you let him get a number on you? Did you underestimate him?”Serena’s brow drew together. “I wasn’t underestimating him. I was fully careful. He just broke through my psychic barrier. Honestly, I don’t think I

  • CHAPTER 431

It was Denver who had repelled Serena’s energy.Seeing Denver, Sheryl felt happy, but Serena frowned deeply because all her capable teammates were defeated.“It should have been impossible to redirect my attack through ordinary means. Did you use spiritual aura to repel my energy?”“Don’t answer her, Boss,” Sheryl said. “We’ll deal with her during the festival.”“Sister… “ Denver was looking at Serena. “Don’t call me sister,” Serena’s expression turned rigid. “We barely know each other.”“Still, I might have overlooked it if you attacked me, but you went after my people. You crossed the line not once but twice.” Denver stepped past Sheryl and released thick golden red lightning through his left fist before leaping at her. “Psychic Sphere!” Serena immediately used her greatest defensive technique.Denver’s fist shattered through the sphere and smashed her face, breaking her jaw and sending many teeth flying.Serena herself was thrown into the distance. Her eyes nearly turned white. (
