Chapter-56 Mr. Charlie

Damien stares at the living room with wide eyes as he takes in his surroundings, it looked exactly like how he imagined it would look from a child's perspective. It wasn't very messy or cluttered, just a plain but cosy apartment that was perfect for a teenage girl who lived by herself.

"You can take whatever you want in the cupboards and fridge, I have to get going, I've got class in five minutes and we're gonna be late" The little girl tells him, putting her schoolbag onto the table in the kitchen before heading for the door.

She opens the door then stops in her tracks, turning to look back at Damien who stands there staring at her weirdly.

"What?" She asks, annoyed.

"Can I... Can I sleep in your bed?" Damien asks quietly, almost afraid of her answer.

"Fine," The girl simply says, not really caring if he could stay in her room, he doesn' need much anyway.

"Thank you..." Damien smiles at her gratefully and walks towards her bedroom, shutting the door behind him.
