Marco worked quietly, his movements steady even though the atmosphere in the hall felt thick and metallic.

The scent of bleach lingered in the air, not strong enough to mask the underlying odor of old blood and damp concrete.

He pulled back the old dusty stained sheets covering a particular bed, his jaw tightening as the reality of where he stood pressed in again.

This room had seen too many things… None of them clean. From the yellowish to the brownish stains... even blacked dotted ones, he knew a lot had happened.

His head glanced around the space, wondering deep down if there were ghosts who still lingered... holding onto something dear to them that probably stemmed from how they had died.

This monastery...it was old. Which means, it had survived wars and times of hunger and sickness.

Marco wondered still...were there experiments conducted on people here?
