Spence had almost fell on his butt, he staggered backward at his mother in-law's declaration. Maya had told him that she wasn't ready to be a mother so he had agreed with her, but she was quick to get pregnant for Mr Gray while still married to him.

Spence managed to conceal his emotions enough to strengthen his leg to carry him out of the birthday venue. The other son in-laws decipated different emotions ranging from pity to mockery. He removed his tuxedo jacket as he was sweating profusely.

Most of the distant family members that witness their colourless wedding looked at him questioningly but who dare go against the old fox Alice Brown.

Spence trotted to the main street to hail down a cab but he remembered he had no destination, no home to go back to. His mother in-law owned the building they lived in. He had just gotten an evacuation notice in the most ridiculous way.

Maya had looked him in the eyes and kissed another man, she was even carrying his baby . She had forced him to use protection with her on her fertile days, every deceit unraveling by each second, he had trusted Maya too much that he was caught off guard.

Spence was puzzled, what would his mentor Robbin do in this kind of situation?

Unfortunately Robbin was deceased so he had no way of asking him. But he knew he would have nagged him seriously for ruining a rental cloth. He couldn't believe he was almost penniless and single again, he sardonically chuckled inwardly.

His life had chosen the most tragic storyline. He brought out his phone to make a call to his closest collegues Dave who picked up at the second ring.

"Sorry man, I saw the blogpost, I knew your wife was too sophisticated from guys like us.” Dave said carefully picking his pitiful words.

Spence was mute, he cut the call, his phone kept beeping continuously, he knew it was all from his pity party,so he didn't bother to pick up. He had suicidal thoughts, why had he always been unlucky?

He had thought himself lucky to be fancied by a rich girl that he poured all the love he had in their union which just crashed and blew on his face. The look of disdain mixed with pity he got from the party guests made him sad. Even his expensive tuxedo could not hide his wretched background.

His mother had managed to sponsor him to college from her meager salary as a cheobal family housecleaner. She had also called him severally but he was too devastated to talk to her. She had warned him against falling in love with the rich heiress, it doesn't always end well.

Alice's announcement of her daughter engagement to a wealthy person while still married to him had confirmed all his mother's stories about the secrets of the cheobal families.

He stood and gazed longingly at the sea, he wasn't scared of it that day, it looked rather blue and memorizing.

"Have you summoned the courage to go through with it or you need a push?” a feminine voice said evident with sarcasm.

Spence jolted back from his trance, a petite woman with a black sunshade was beside him.

He couldn't see her face but taking a look at her overall outline he seems not to recognize her from anywhere.

"I wasn't t-trying to jump in." Spence stuttered.

"Well who wouldn't be deceived by the water's inviting outlook.” the woman teased on.

Spence didn't find that funny, he had been having a hell of a day, he didn't need an hater to shatter his last reserved self esteem.

"Have we met before? " He asked her trying to figure out her deal.

The strange woman raised a brow which puzzled Spence but before he could react two strong men had gripped him and blindfolded him. He struggled to be cut loose but they were too strong to overthrow.

"Hold him down, I need his blood" the woman's voice said. Spence had never been this scared in his whole life, he was about to be murdered in broad daylight, he had always been unfortunate, this is a proof.

To his astonishment, he felt a syringe needle in his left arm vein, she drew blood and removed it so fast that he winced from the sharp pain. He felt the grip on him loosen but they didn't release him completely. One of the men suddenly jabbed his neck and he lost consciousness.

Spence opened his eyes and closed it again, he must definitely be in paradise. The room was exuisively painted in white color, the shimmering interior design was breathtaking. The huge bed was lush and warm that he didn't wish to get up, his good deeds must have weight tons to be admitted into such paradise.

He tried to sit up but he had a lingering pain from the effect of his killer's strong jab. To his dismay he felt a hand wrapped around him lovingly.

"I have finally found you Ryan." She hugged him tightly.

Spence was confused, had she followed him all the way to heaven? Or what was the crap about her calling him by a strange name.

"Who are you?" Spence asked in bewilderment trying to make sense of the whole situation.

"Let me introduce myself officially to you, I am Selena Hale, the CEO of "Zillow Jade" she said with enthusiasm

Spence ruminated about her word, Zillow Jade was a well known top tier company.

Even "Golden Fingers " wouldn't mind begging to bag even one contract from.

He never knew their CEO because he had never been that ambitious to seek for employment in such charismatic company. He looked at the woman who didn't stop looking directly into his eyeballs, he knew for real,he was still alive, she had kidnapped him and brought him to her paradise.

"Why did you kidnap me?" he asked curiously

" Because you are my brother, the only heir to Zillow Jade " she said in return which got Spence scared.
