Chapter 146

In the cold, all-white room, a hush fell over Melvis' surroundings. He was sitting on the bed where Amanda was lying.

The situation was a little eerie as only the sound of Amanda's steady breathing clashed with Melvis' slightly rushed breathing. The man looked down languidly at the edge of the bed with an occasional sigh waiting for Amanda to wake up.

A man dressed all in white was standing on the other side of the bed, he was checking his wife's closed eyes with a small flashlight. Melvis looked at that with a worried expression but did not say a word from his mouth.

It showed on his face that he was waiting for an immediate diagnosis from the man standing in front of him by checking the heartbeat of his wife who was still unconscious.

"Mr. Tucker, it looks like your wife is fine. There are no symptoms to worry about so far, but..." the doctor paused for a moment.

Beside Melvis Quen was standing at attention, Melvis himself immediately rounded his eyes. He waited for the doctor to
