Congratulations! You have unlocked: Charm]

The message stayed for a moment before disappearing into the air. Eren stared at the empty space, a bitter, nervous laugh coming from his lips. "What kind of task is this?" he whispered, pacing around the small room. "I haven't spoken to a girl in months, let alone tried to win one over. This is impossible."

But even as he complained, a chill ran down his back. He remembered the vultures. He remembered the feeling of his own life leaking into the dry dirt of the field. He couldn't afford to doubt anymore; the system didn't care about his fears. It only cared about results.

"What happens if I fail?" he asked the empty room.

The blue screen appeared instantly, the text looking sharp and mean.

[System Notice: You will face another level of pain. The cycle of the field will repeat, even worse than before.]

"No," Eren gasped, reaching out as if to push the memory away. "No more. I won't go back to that. I'll do it. I'll finish the task."

He looked at the bottom of the screen. The numbers were already moving a heartless countdown that felt like a blade slowly falling.

[Time Remaining: 24 hours, 59 minutes, 30 seconds. Let the countdown begin.]

Eren took a deep breath, trying to stop his shaking. "The Elite squad thinks I'm a corpse. That gives me an advantage. No one is looking for me." He tapped the screen with a steady finger. "System, show me the list of people I know. Who can I use?"

The screen started a scan, lines of information moving up.

[Acquaintance List: 6]

[Lala, Olivia, Victoria, Helen, Zion, Harris]

Eren's face fell. "No. No, no, no." He shook his head. Other than his sister and the very people who had murdered him, he was a ghost in this city. A social outcast. "Does this mean I have nobody? How am I supposed to win over a stranger in one day?"

He checked the timer again. The minutes were slipping away. He needed a plan. He needed to find a place where people didn't know the face of the "errand Omega." He thought of the street clubs in the neutral zones, but reality hit him he didn't have a single cent to his name. He couldn't even buy a drink to start a conversation.

Desperate, he turned back toward the house, hoping to find Lala. Maybe she had some extra money or advice. But when he pushed the door open, the small hut was completely silent. The air felt still, as if the life had been sucked out of the room. "Lala?" he called out. Nothing. She had been there just minutes ago, but now she was gone, likely taken away to her own hard daily work.

Fear began to tighten around his throat. He walked out into the Omega village, his boots kicking up dust. He checked the minefields empty. He ran toward the big kitchens where the Omegas worked over steaming pots of food for the Elites, but he only saw the back of the head chef.

The timer now showed less than two hours. The panic was no longer a dull sound in his ches; it was a screaming siren in his head. He couldn't go through that pain again. He turned around, sprinting back toward his home in a blind hope that his mother might have come back.

In his hurry, he rounded a corner and crashed into a soft, solid person.

"I am so, so sorry! Please forgive me!" he gasped, stumbling back without even looking up.

"It... it's fine," a soft, pretty voice replied.

Eren froze. The voice was gentle, like the sound of a silver bell. He slowly looked up and saw a hooded figure walking away, her steps slow and careful. A girl? he wondered. He didn't think, he just acted.

"Excuse me!" he shouted, running after her. "Can I have a minute of your time?"

Phrases like that sounded nice, but deep inside, Eren knew the cold, terrifying truth. He wasn't some miracle story. He wasn't even fully human anymore. The system was the only thing holding his failing heart together. If he missed a mission, if he lost his streak, or if the system decided to abandon him, he would drop dead on the spot. That was why he was pushing so hard. Why he was spending money, building an empire, and stocking this mansion with wealth. He needed to make sure that even if his heart stopped tomorrow, his mother and Lala would never have to sweep a floor or starve again.Once the bags were packed and locked, Lala gave him a quick hug and headed downstairs. She found her stepmother in the hallway, and the two women went into the lower bedroom to talk, leaving the house in a tense, uneasy quiet.Outside, the cool night air brushed against the side of the mansion.Mr. Lilmore leaned against the dark stone wall, pulling a crumpled cigarette from his pocket and flicking

Upstairs in his new bedroom, Eren was losing his mind. He paced back and forth across the polished wooden floor, his boots making heavy, rhythmic thuds. His hands were curled into tight fists, his knuckles turning white. How could she do this? After every single night of crying, after every bruised arm, every broken promise, his mother had just welcomed that bastard back into her life with open arms.A burning rage flared up in his chest. Eren slammed his fist into the air, wanting nothing more than to smash the nearest wall to pieces. But he caught himself, taking a ragged breath. He couldn't lose control. Not now, when everything was finally shifting in his favor."How can she forgive him?" Eren whispered, staring at his reflection in the dark windowpane. "When my real father was alive, the smallest mistake was enough for Mother to pack up and leave him."His blue eyes darkened with bitter resentment. "But this man... he has beaten her, stolen from us, and ruined every chance we eve

"We weren’t Omegas. We weren’t treated like garbage or left to sweep up after monsters. We had a real family," Eren spat out, the words laced with years of built-up poison. "It was only after you brought him into our lives that everything fell apart!"She flinched, looking away toward the floor. "We’re wolfless, Eren," she whispered, her voice barely audible, cracked with an old, permanent defeat. "We don’t have wolves to protect us in this empire. We never did.""So what?!" Eren spread his arms wide, his aura flaring for a fraction of a second, heavy and suffocating enough to make the air in the room drop several degrees. "Look at me! Look at what I am now! I am Rank B! I may still be wolfless, but I am no longer an Omega! I am no longer anyone's footstool!"He pointed dramatically toward the high archways of the mansion. "This house came with my status. The money, the security, the respect—it’s all tied to my name now! I can give you a peaceful life. I can protect you and Lala so yo

Eren pushed the heavy double doors of the mansion open, the cool night air swirling inside behind him. Eren sat on the edge of the bed, the mattress groaning under his new, heavier frame as he reached for his clothes. The air in the room was thick, smelling of sweat and the cheap floral perfume Yuna used. He felt a strange hollowness in his chest, a stark contrast to the physical release he had just experienced."You don't have to be worried about Hannah finding out," Yuna said, her voice a low purr as she pulled the sheets up to cover her chest. "I’m not going to say a single word to her. As long as..."Eren paused, his hand gripping his shirt. He turned his head slightly to face her. "As long as what, Yuna?""As long as you promise this will happen again," she said, a playful yet greedy spark in her blue eyes.Eren stared at her for a long beat. The innocence he once associated with this family was eroding, replaced by the cold, transactional reality of his new life. He didn't feel like a lover; he felt like a patron."Call me your Cash App address," he said flatly.Yuna’s eyes widen

The click of the bedroom door signaled they were alone. The room was silent except for their breathing. Eren could smell the floral scent of Yuna’s skin. It was thick and heavy in the air. She did not let go of his hand. Instead, she gripped his fingers tighter. Her hand felt hot and possessive. She turned around and backed against the door. The soft light from the curtains showed her shape clearly. She looked at him with a calm, focused stare. “One hour,” she whispered. The sound was so low it felt like it vibrated through the floor. “Let’s not waste a second.”She reached out and touched him. Her fingertips brushed against his jaw. She traced a path down to his throat where his heart was beating fast. Her touch felt like it burned his skin. She leaned in until her lips were right next to his ear. “You’re scared,” she murmured. She said it like she already knew. “You’re scared of how good this will feel. You’re scared of Hannah. But you aren’t scared of me. You want me. I can see you
