Damien felt like not going there at all—he couldn’t bear to see either Orion or Sophia, his ex. At the same time, he knew that if he rejected a task from the system, he would definitely face the penalty, but the greatest fear of it all is that he had no idea what the penalty would be?

The thought scared Damien to the bone as he wasn’t ready to risk anything that would ruin his life for the second time. His fear was probably Maybe the system would take back everything it had ever given to him. And he was just starting to live the life he had always dreamed off.

“I can’t take any chances rejecting any task from the system, I will do it with ease as far as it’s to my benefit,” Damien advised himself. “Even if it’s meant kissing Sophia’s feet just to get more rewards from my system, I wouldn’t mind—I’d do it without looking back.”

Damien muttered inwardly.

A few minutes later, Damien arrived at Lunapeek Estate. He waited by the roadside for Orion to come out, and just then, Orion could be seen walking out from his apartment but alone.

Damien stood by the passenger door, waiting for Orion so he could open the door for him. He wanted to act calm and gentle, hoping to get a good rating on the app as one of the Wikwik drivers and also get extra rewards from his system.

Orion approached and stopped in his tracks, stunned by the sight of the Lamborghini Veneno roadster.

Orion had ordered something expensive, but he hadn’t expected a Lamborghini to pick him up, this feeling left him baffled and stunned. Though he wasn’t really sure if the ride was what he ordered.

“Wow, it’s a Lamborghini Veneno roadster, one of my dream cars,” Orion thought to himself.

He paused for a moment, just staring, stunned. He then checked his phone to confirm if it was truly the ride he had ordered. And to his realization, The VIN number on his phone was the same as the one on the car.

The order number on his screen read: Driver 441.

“Are you Driver 441?” Orion asked.

“Yes, I am,” Damien replied with a nod.

Orion didn’t recognize Damien’s face. But as Damien looked at him, every second felt heavy—filled with the urge to punch him hard in the face. He restrained himself, knowing it could trigger a penalty from the system.

Orion got into the car, and Damien closed the door gently before walking around to the driver’s side and getting in.

Orion owned several expensive cars himself, but for where he was heading, he wanted something that would leave a statement. The car he had ordered was a lower-tier Lamborghini, but instead, he got the most expensive model available. He wondered if this could be a glitch from the wikwik app or so.

While they were driving, Orion eyed Damien up from head to toe, surprised that a company like Wikwik would hire someone who dressed like a ragged piece of cloth for such a job.

“I don’t think the Wikwik app would have an expensive car like this and lend it out for driving job, even though they didn’t, how could this man afford a car like this to register as a wikwik driver. In this entire city only one man has such a car because there’s only nine in the whole world being produced. Or could he have lend it out to this guy,” Orion thought, eyeing Damien suspiciously.

“No it can’t be possible,” Orion shook his head dismissively.

Orion wanted to ask Damien all the questions wrestling in his head, but decided not to. And it was then he began to remember that he had seen this specific face somewhere but can’t figure out where.

Within minutes, they reached the location—the destination Orion had set on the app. It was the magnolia grill, one of the most exclusive restaurants in the city. Their style of serving customers is top notch and mostly the perfect place to take a girl for a date.

As the car stopped, Orion turned to Damien.

“Can I ask you for a favor?”

Damien was slightly surprised by the request, wondering what could be the favor Orion wanted.

“Yeah, sure. You can,” Damien nodded, forcing a smile from his lips.

“Can you please make it look like this car belongs to me? There’s this lady I want to have fun with—she’s high class. I think if I could show her I own this car, she’d give me a chance to date and have sex with her. Don’t worry, you don’t have to think much about it. I’ll pay you extra if you agree.”

Orion wanted using the advantage of the expensive car to deceive the lady that he owns it. Trying to pave another way to get into her.

Orion due to how spoiled he was, and unproductive, his father Derick, decided to seize everything from him, including the company and cars he owns, hoping when Orion changed he would return it to him, but things only get worse, Orion wouldn’t change. Instead Orion steals from his father just to keep up the playboy lifestyle he was into.

Damien stared at Orion as he told him about the evil plans he had in mind. He knew exactly the type of man he was dealing with—full of lies and arrogance. He felt like rejecting him outright, but there was a risk. If Orion gave him a bad rating on the app, it might reduce the reward points the system would give him. So Damien didn’t have a choice than to accept.

“So, how do you intend for it to happen?” Damien asked.

“All you have to do is get out of the car, wait for me outside. I’ll call her over from the restaurant and make her think it’s my car and I just purchased it.”

“That’s your plan?” Damien raised a brow.

“Yeah, that’s my plan, you piece of shit. Don’t think because I lower myself to ask you for this favor and you think you can take it to your advantage and look down on me. Just know if you didn’t play along, I wouldn’t hesitate to report you and get your job ruined. I don’t care where you have gotten this car or how you have convinced your company to make you use something this expensive for a taxi.”

Damien knew it wasn’t part of Wikwik’s rules to allow customers to pretend they owned the car for extra pay, so technically, he could refuse without consequences, but that would risk the good rating he would get.

“Are you doing it or not?” Orion asked again, folding his arms across his chest.

“Yes, of course I’ll accept. But promise me you’ll rate me five stars after this,” Damien demanded.

“Does rating you on the app matter compared to the cash I’ll give you?” Orion raised a brow. “I’m not here to exchange words with you or ask for your opinion.”

“Okay, very well. I’ll step out of the car, then you can do what you want to do,” Damien replied.

He opened the door and stepped out.

“Shit, I’m late! I have to get dressed and head out.”Damien’s voice was filled with panic. He thought back to how things used to be—waking up early, getting ready, and heading to work.Just then, his phone began to ring, he picked it up to check who was calling and to his greatest surprise, it was his boss, Alaric, calling. Damien hesitated for a moment before answering the call. And the second he did, Alaric’s furious voice exploded through the speaker, making Damien snap and pushing the phone away from his ears. “You bastard! You’re fired. If I see your legs anywhere near this company, I swear I’ll break them!” Alaric warned, then ended the call.Damien stared at the phone, stunned, he took a deep breath into his lungs then exhaled.“Why should I be bothered about what he had said? • She Thought I Would Never Pay

Damien walked through the stairs, moving upward until he reached his specific room door, room number 20. The apartment was less expensive, and the cost of living there was unbearable, the stench smell from pipes and adding with stagnant water from the drainage made everything worse, which is part of the reason the rent was so much affordable. And even with that, Damien still finds it difficult to pay off his rent, due to his low monthly income. He gently pushed the door open then stepped inside. His room looked so messed up as usual; he doesn’t have time to keep it tidy due to the work loads he gets everyday from the company he works for. Sometimes Damien comes home very late and stressed, barely has time to shower, and ends up sleeping with his clothes on. Just after some minutes, Damien’s door began banging hard, he flinched from its impact. It was as if the person wanted to break through the door. “Who could that be?”Damien wondered, startled. “Open this goddamn door befor

I would love that.” Then he rode away.Lucia got into the mansion, and her mother, Fiona, walked down the stairs, staring and giving her a knowingly smile. Lucia raised a brow, stunned, as to why her mother was smiling tauntingly at her. “Who is that good-looking handsome man that drops you off, his car is such an expensive car, Lucia?”Lucia sighed. She knew what was already coming, and she wasn’t ready for the sweet talks from her mother.“Mum, not now. I’m so stressed to the bone. I need to get some rest.”Just then, Lucas, h
